Erg slechte ervaring met het personeel gehad toen ik gisteren binnen aan de bar een bestelling deed voor op het terras. De barman ging gelijk al tekeer toen ik mijn bestelling opgaf. Hij verhief zijn stem toen ik naar zijn mening niet duidelijk genoeg beschreef waar ik op het terras zat en dreigde koud eten te serveren als ik het ordernummer niet zichtbaar op tafel zou zetten... Ik woon in Amsterdam en weet dat Pllek zelfs voor Amsterdamse begrippen niet goedkoop is, dus een beetje vriendelijke service is wel op zijn plaats. Los daarvan was deze ervaring echt onacceptabel.

We stayed in the upstairs area inside the restaurant. VERY HOT!!! I really felt sorry for the people who work there in the summer. Delicious drinks. I had a mucarella salad which was phenomenal. The staff were very patient and friendly

Let's be real, if you're a tourist visiting Amsterdam, you're probably not going to make it here. Pllek is one of the best-kept secrets of Amsterdam and a beacon of the Amsterdam lifestyle and culture. Yet it's situated just outside of the circling, looping, tourist trap that is the city center. The menu lives as an homage to the Dutch spice trade, offering a rich tapestry of flavors that pay tribute to historical trade routes. The service is almost accidentally edgy, an eclectic gathering of people you might initially mistake for wayward, yet strangely helpful, customers, only to be surprised to find them your servers. The restaurant itself, although I strain myself to limit Pllek to such a bland category, is one part your best friend's living room, one part a beachfront hangout, another a Mediterranean lounge, and yet another still a dining room. Pllek is for the locals of Amsterdam. It's not meant to be a destination for tourists to photograph or post pictures of themselves taking a momentary lark in a Dutch dining room. So, I'm torn writing about Pllek. Eat here. Give Pllek your patronage, but treat it with the respect that its unique atmosphere provides.

Absolutely love the location! But I think there’s too few staff members to serve the people masses that come here. It took around 20 minutes to wait for one drink at the bar Also it would be great if you could add some seating outside (more bean bags or chairs)

Nice location for the sunny days but the food was terrible. Avocado was sour and not edible, waitress could see I had not touched it and did not ask if it was ok. Come for the view definitely not the food.

Great atmosphere

Mooie ruim opgezette zaak, lekker origineel eten, fijne sfeer, ongedwongen bediening en natuurlijk op een toplocatie!
