Love this place!! They have the best Rum Runners by far! We have been 4-5 times now and everything we have ordered is very well made- Lobster roll is a fav! The environment inside and out just adds to the experience from the pirate decor inside to the water views outside. To top it off the staff is always warm, inviting, and very attentive! We will keep coming back!!

We ate here while visiting John's pass and all of us enjoyed the food and service. Between us all we ordered the crab cake, lobster roll, and a couple of burgers (not sure which version of the burger was ordered). Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and all said we would make a return visit.

I have been coming to pirates pub & grub for many years. It is one of my favorite spots to look out at the water at John's pass and just relax. They have several spots that face the water so I can usually find a place unless it's peak hours. It's also good for people watching. I don't like seafood so I always get a burger or a hot dog which hit the spot! I also get some of the tomato cucumber salad to bring home it's really tasty! The service is a hit or miss sometimes it's slow but the food comes out pretty quickly. Keeping this as a staple on my list for great weather days.

Fantastic views and atmosphere and good for dolphin watching! Great service even when they are really busy. The pirate punch is one of my favorite drinks and they even shared how to make it so we can make it at home. The burgers are great! We went 4 times in the week we were there.

With air conditioned inside dining & bar also offers outdoor seating with panoramic waterfront views of Johns Pass.
Friendly service and delicious food coupled with the "Village" ambiance make this a Unique experience that even as longtime locals still enjoy our regular visits. Their Spicy "Bloody Buccaneer" coming in at 32 ounces satisfies the most demanding Bloody Mary enthusiasts whilst those seeking Rum based drinks are easily & well satisfied!
Being the 2025 MadeiraBeachBurgerWeek Awards Winner for BOTH Best Burger and MOST CREATIVE they certainly don't disappoint! The Campeche Burger ('25 Contestant) was definitely our favorite and an absolutely must try for any burger enthusiast! Their lightly battered french fries and delicious Onion Rings or Coleslaw make great accompaniments to any selection. We've favored the Captain Burger since winning the '24 awards, always loved the Black&Bleu and blackened shrimp tacos as well!
This pairs well before or after a Pirate Ship excursion of the beautiful area along the Intracoastal Waterway.

We went here for dinner on the last day of our vacation. We chose the Pirates burger and the fish and chips. The burger was nothing special....too much bun in my opinion and didn't really have a lot of flavor, which was very disappointing, especially after reading other reviews. Now that Fish and Chips is a whole different story. Being from Illinois this is the kind of fish you find in bars on Fridays for their fish frys. This was delicious!! You get two pieces of cod and they are not small! Fries were good, coleslaw needs improvement. Our server was nice. Would definitely return if ever in this area again.

Best burger in Madiera beach
Best burger in Madiera beach. We were on vacation at John's Pass and wanted a break from sea food. A local told us to go to Pirates Grub and Pub for a burger. I'm glad we did I had the basic cheese burger and my girl had the Campeche burger. Both came with fresh cut fries. Best burger I've had in a long time. The staff is cool too
