Went in got serviced by John and left with bubbles and cuts and not a very well job. Called and spoked to Dana the manager she was very sweet and apologetic and had me come back in, which I did and so happy I did. Maya took care of me and was gentle with my pinky where I was cut. She did an amazing job and was quick. Thank you to Dana and Maya for taking care of me and giving me a better experience. Maddie had great costumer service in the front !
I visited the salon yesterday morning for a manicure. This was my second visit, and my first experience was great, which is why I decided to come back.
The technician assigned to me recommended adding a nail builder service to help protect my natural nails, and I agreed. However, during the shaping process, he buffed the sides of my nails very aggressively. I flinched several times because it was uncomfortable, but he was very quiet and there was little interaction throughout the appointment, so I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up.
After the service, the sides of several nails became sore and painful. I also noticed bubbles in some of the nails and the finish around the edges did not look clean. While I could overlook some cosmetic imperfections, the pain and discomfort are concerning. There were also several areas where what appeared to be excess glue or product was left attached to my nail beds.
That same evening, I contacted the receptionist to share my concerns and politely requested to be assigned to a different technician for future appointments. Unfortunately, I have not received any response, which has been disappointing.
I wanted to share this feedback because my first experience was excellent, and I hope both the quality of service and customer communication can be improved moving forward.
VERY EXPENSIVE FOR THE SERVICE YOU RECEIVE. My nail tech was so rushed and just did an "ok" job. Definitely not worth the $60 they charge. The owner walked around the salon criticizing each and every nail tech's work. I found her "Dana" to be quite intimidating and very disingenuous. The nail tech's appeared to be scared of her. Overall, a very tense environment. After my nails were done the owner took my nail tech to the back room and lectured him in a very stern tone of voice. Not ever going back to this place. There are many other nails salons in Ventura that do a much better job, charge much less and where the environment is kind, welcoming and genuinely friendly. This place is a HUGE NO for me.
I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and I’ve always been a loyal customer I usually get a pedicure but I wanted to get a mani so I booked an appointment. Off the bat I was given such poor service. I was given John and he ripped off my old acrylic damaging my nail beds when he could’ve just dipped it in acetone ( ps they reuse the nail polish remover they use on u) and kept filing my nails down until I got cuts! He would use the drill so hard my finger was on fire. The whole time he was man handling my hand if he was having a hard time which was so rude when he could’ve just spoken up. I will not be returning this is absurd when you pay for a service and get left cut up and with bubbles on your nails. This place used to be my fav spot and would provide drinks they had but the service has really gone downhill
Twice now, I've been made to wait 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, without any explanation/acknowledgement from the staff. They acted incredulous when I had to change my service based on time constraints. I am disappointed in the lack of consideration and courtesy. I will not be returning.
I told the nail tech TWICE that I wanted a darker shade of pink, but she only repainted ONE toe with a light blush color, which wasn’t what I asked for. I also requested thinner French tip lines, and that was ignored as well. On top of that, I noticed others were offered drinks while I wasn’t. Overall, it felt like my preferences weren’t taken into consideration, and I ended up paying for something I didn’t want.
Really disappointed with my service today when I normally have had great experiences :( the manicurist was way too rough. He caused bleeding to multiple nails and continuously sprayed my nails with alcohol causing it to burn for hours after. He was also messy and got polish all over one of my fingers. He also left my thumb chipped, he tried to buff it out but instead of completely redoing it, he just left it. I don't understand how you can charge someone $60 and cause them bleeding/pain and on top of that leave a nail messy.
Very disappointed seeing other similar reviews that mention the same manicurist and no action has been taken to train him correctly.
Tip: ask for Don, he was great during my previous two experiences and is more gentle than my manicurist today.
