Working with Shawn was wonderful! I had previously done training with my dog, but she had then developed some resource guarding and had some other undesirable behaviors (pulling, barking incessantly). After Shawn did the in-home evaluation, he recommended the 3 session package for us. I love that he didn’t try to upsell us on a more intense program like some other dog trainers in the area! While my dog already knew basic obedience commands, Shawn was able to help lessen her anxiety and teach her to just coexist in the world. I noticed an immediate difference once we started implementing Shawn’s strategies. I don’t have to constantly be telling my dog to heel or sit or stay, she just stays close and behaves naturally, with little anxiety. You can tell that Shawn loves dogs and loves what he does. He was always up for trying new things and going new places to give my dog more fun, unique challenges. I wouldn’t hesitate to do more programs with Shawn if needed!! We learned a lot and had so much fun doing it!!

I’m so thankful for Paw & Order! They are the best trainers anyone could ask for! My dog was able to have so much fun while training and she is now properly trained to go anywhere! I cannot express how much Paw & Order dog training helped me.

Macy is our 6 year old American Eskimo. She would constantly bark at anyone, either at our house or if they were just walking down the street. She would also nip. We would have to put her in another room when we had visitors. I was at my wits end until I contacted Shawn at Paw and Order. That was the best decision I made for myself and for Macy. She is a different dog after just 3 sessions with Shawn and Tatum. They helped both Macy and myself with different ways to control the unwanted behavior and turn it into a positive behavior . I am so grateful to Shawn and Tatum for everything they taught us. I highly recommend them both!

Shawn & Tatum “squeezed” me in to evaluate my 5 year old Doberman - Karma, my heart dog. After coming to my home and spending an hour or so with her .. he politely told me “She doesn’t need me” and my heart sank. Who tells a client that? It’s their business.. their livelihood. You see after losing my husband, we lived like hermits …FOR 4 years!!! And then .. my youngest son made the decision to move to Colorado. Road trip .. LONG road trip with dogs !! I did not know how she would act riding in a car cross country, staying in hotels, all the new people and scents she would experience. It was a bit overwhelming. Shawn & Tatum took ME on as a client. They instilled the confidence I needed with my dog. I am happy to report, she has graduated after only 3 sessions with them !! And they were right .. she didn’t need the training .. I did ! If you are on the fence about dog training … whatever your situation is ... Take the leap of faith like I did … You won’t be disappointed … I cannot sing their praises high enough …they are honest, (wasn’t taken advantage of and very well could have been) knowledgeable, great communication and they both truly LOVE dogs! Shawn and Tatum are the best. They knew how to solve our dogs behaviors quickly and the results are amazing. Barking at other dogs and the landscapers has stopped. Leash pulling is no longer an issue and walking the dogs is now fun. The most amazing thing was they were able to correct our dog from nipping at ankles on the spot. I am so glad we found them and highly recommend both of them. You will be happy and so will your dogs !!

Shawn was wonderful in training our dog. We received daily videos of the work being done. We had never boarded our puppy, and we were a little apprehensive, but after the meet and greet with Shawn and Tatum, we felt very comfortable with Paw & Order. My 2-year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Frisco, began to exhibit anxiety and aggressiveness. Paw & Order (Shawn) to the rescue!! After discussing our concerns, desired outcomes, and the program options with Shawn, we opted for the program where we worked with our dog -- following Shawn's instructions and guidance. It was a very short time (only a few of our at-home workings) until there was a noticeable improvement in Frisco's anxiety level. And after 3 sessions with Shawn, Frisco has graduated and is now back to interacting in a relaxed, easy going manner. (which, in turn, reduces my stress level as well) Shawn, and trainer Tatum, are great listeners. They are patient (with the dogs and their "parents'); knowledgeable about dogs/ dog breeds/ dog behaviors; available to answer questions; and are very supportive of the dog and the parent/trainer. The Paw & Order program, Shawn, and Tatum are, for Frisco and our family, a blessing. Shawn and Tatum - thank you!

AMAZING!! Shawn & Tatum have absolutely turned my defiant Doberman into a manageable, pleasant dog. This is a dog i adopted from a home with few rules back into the breeder’s property secluded in a cattle hauler. He was unruly, self-drven, defiant on every level. Upon first meeting, Shawn had Tyten walking beside him in 3 mins. Tyten allowed Shawn inside the house. Tyten doesn’t even allow us in the house sometimes. The first session enabled me to leash walk without pulling or reactivity, giving me the confidence to manage this dog wherever we went without worry. Prior to that, i was isolating inside out of fear & anxiety of how to manage his behaviors. I was beginning to hate this dog. I felt guilty for that. Multiple people advised to put him down. He had to be muzzled & sedated at vet appts. I’ve had dogs my entire life but never a difficult one like this. I even had a previous Dobie who was perfect from birth, never acted anything like this. But we never know what a dog’s been through before they come to us. Shawn taught me to read his physical cues, and be proactive vs reactive. They gave me the knowledge & the power to establish a relationship with this dog whom I previously feared every movement, and how to engage with him. They did this in simple language and explained reasons for every aspect of what we were doing and why we were doing that. I am so grateful to these guys for giving me the tools to give this dog some structure, understanding, and freedom again! Cannot recommend these guys enough! And the name is great!

I had a great time and learning experience with Shawn with Paw & Order Dog Training. Rudy is a very special new member of our family and in a very short time has started a great start in his education. I would highly recommend Shawn. And I will pursue more continuing education when it becomes available for more social interaction with other people and their dogs. Thank you , you make it so easy and fun!

Trace is a 1 yr old handsome Bernedoodle who is an easily loveable and cuddly puppy who is also stubborn, sometimes deaf and all the other wonderful bad habits that puppies have. I was going to be in Florida for a couple of months and so I “googled” dog trainers and the one that caught my eye was “Paw and Order” and I am so glad it did. From the first time I spoke to Shawn I knew he was very caring and patient when it came to dogs and I was not disappointed. After his first visit Trace was calmer and more responsive to commands. By the time we were getting ready to leave Trace was walking comfortably on the leash, biting is a thing of the past and he knows “place” and “break”. If you are looking for someone that really loves his work and takes the time necessary to make every dog a “good dog” Shawn is you trainer. Shawn Humphreys of Paw and Order came to my home to help with my dogs, Loki and Niko. Loki is a 26 pound Havanese who would continually go ballistic about golf carts. He would bark and pull so hard that I was afraid he would pull me down and I would get hurt. It was truly awful. Niko is a cute little 9 pound Havanese who barked with Loki at anything that moved in front of my house. The noise was horrible. Nothing worked well when I tried to cure these problems. Shawn helped me with many ways to control my dogs. It is wonderful that I no longer have these problems. The pups are more affectionate than ever and I’m enjoying being with them. Shawn was so good with the dogs that they loved when he came.

I cannot recommend this program more. I was skeptical at first, I had a challenging case with 6 kids and a wild new puppy, but Shawn taught us HOW to train her, hands on in our home patiently, despite the usual chaos our home is and the transformation in Athena was amazing! I seriously went from a sweet but wild and boisterous puppy to a loving obedient dog who walks right next to me, often WITHOUT a leash. She’s settled into part of the family even more with the rules we learned and this program is worth every penny! Athena and all the kids loved learning from Shawn and we are all better for it! Shawn is absolutely the best trainer around. Our 1 year old doggo had so many issues, and we were starting to get worried about multiple things. She would try and run through the door to attack people, her leash pulling made it miserable to take her on walks. It was getting difficult, and in two weeks there was so many changes. She still needs some work on just a few things, however, we are absolutely so glad that we went with Shawn. He’s understanding, patient, and he tells you the truth. He won’t sugar coat anything, but still is respectful and understanding which is exactly what we were looking for. Thanks Shawn!!

We were bringing in a new puppy to an established family of 2 dogs and 2 cats. We initially had aggressive actions from one of our dogs to the new puppy. Called Shaun and he was amazing. Knew exactly how to handle everyone in a firm but patient manner. Dogs improved within weeks. Puppy was behaving correctly and we were able to travel dogs and all. He gives you the tools to succeed. Highly recommend!!

Shawn is our 4th trainer for Luke, a 20 month old Jack Russell Terrier. The 3 before all told us there's not much they could do because he is a Jack Russell. Shawn entered the picture as a last hope and it turns out he will be our last trainer. Shawn showed us how to use all the tools in our toolbox with reward and consequences as the basis and showed me how to get these things across to Luke. I ended up with a great relationship with Luke and I and I've learned it was me that needed training not Luke. Thank you Shawn and Paw and Order.

We recently received a new addition to our family. Jerzee, an 8 week old beautiful Bernie-Doodle who had that puppy personality you would expect. We were in process of working with her and training her ourselves and things were going just OK. About two months after welcoming her into our home, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were in a tough spot as we had numerous visits out of town with various doctors for treatment, surgery and all the other tasks and visits that go along with cancer. Unfortunately, Jerzee's training was put on the back burner because we were gone so much. She continued the puppy biting, jumping on us, and all the other immaturities of a puppy and our family really needed help. We looked online for a few different companies that dealt with dog training, and Paw and Order was the first company we contacted. When we met Shawn, we had no reason to look at another option. His introductory to us was superb, his course outline was great, and everything was very professional. With us being in the bind we were in, Shawn had a training option where he would take Jerzee for 10 days and work with her. This was the perfect solution for us given the circumstance we were in. While we missed her for the 10 days, when Shawn brought her back to us, Jerzee was a 100% better than when she left. It was like he brought a completely different dog back to us. Sure we still have incidents as this is a work in progress, but nothing like before. Overall we feel Jerzee had top notch training. No biting, minimal leash pulling, but the most important thing is no more running out the door as soon as the door opens. We continue to work with her daily and everyday is better than the previous. We live in a very large sub and all of our neighbors are commenting on how well she behaves. We don't usually write good or bad reviews on places, but we are so impressed with Paw and Order and Shawn's training that we had to drop a note here for him. If you are looking for training, our family strongly suggests you reach out to Shawn.

Our dog Luna had some anxiety issues while being walked, pulling and barking at anything that moved. Sean worked with Luna and Laurie pointing out signs of her hyper anxiety and how to refocus her during her walks and how to be calmer in the house too. I had my doubts Luna would ever come around to our laid back lifestyle or to be around strangers. Sean was masterful at teaching both Luna and us how to handle external stimuli. Luna is a different girl now. I highly recommend Sean and Paw & Order. Well worth the investment.

Shawn did amazing with our whole family! He was patient with our dogs and even our toddler. He made such an amazing difference in our dogs undesired behaviors and his overall behavior.
