Just terrible service today. After the server brought the menus and water outside he never came out to take our order. After like 15-20 minutes, my wife just placed our order. When the food came out there were no napkins given… then once we finished our food the server didn’t comeback outside to give us the bill. I then just walked inside to pay for our meal… Essentially we walked inside 3 separate times for things the server should have done. The food was pretty good though, just terrible service.
The food was good. That’s not my complaint.
We made a reservation even tho we went at an off time just because it was a Saturday. Calling later to add a member to our party, we were told they could not accommodate a fifth person, however, when we showed up more than half the restaurant was empty.
This place markets themselves as being family friendly but even thought we arrived at a quiet time when there were maybe three or four other tables occupied, they were out of high chairs. If you want to be considered a hot spot for families, you should really have appropriate seating available.
Onto the service. I don’t know if the waiter was forgetful or what but he said he’d being a high chair over as soon as one was available. One became available, then another. He gave one to a family that came in after us. After 10 min we went and got the other high chair ourselves. Someone brought our drinks out, and then another person brought our drinks out again five minutes later. After we ate, we sat for an unusually long amount of time without seeing our waiter. When we saw him, we asked for boxes. We asked for boxes again two more times after that. Then we asked for the bill and waited a while for that. Considering it wasn’t busy I just feel that the waitstaff was very inattentive.
We live in the neighborhood and have been to Patti Ann’s a few times hoping to “give it another shot.” Unfortunately, Patti Ann’s consistently disappoints and it seems to be getting worse, not better. Food is just ok, service is pretty bad, and some of the staff can be borderline combative. Not a good look for a “family restaraunt.”
They serve lukewarm beer, make you wait 45 minutes for a mediocre pizza that tastes little different from a frozen version and apparently think salad should be served after the main course. When reminded that this amounts to poor service, not s hint of an apology from the manager. Avoid in favor of abundant superior alternatives nearby.
Very chill corner eatery 👍
Chose to sit outside in the sun under an umbrella bench. Tuna melt with fries was okay.
Mostly enjoyed the beers on tap and outdoor venue. The indoor seating looks very comfortable and inviting.
PROS
1) corner venue with outdoor seating
2) beers on tap
3) happy hour 3-6 pm weekdays
4) cozy & relaxing
CONS
1) service is a bit slow
2) food menu is limited
We asked for a table outside, server explained we’d need to order inside and he’d bring us the food. No problem right? Well he brought everything to go, which means: tons of plastic waste, no table service, food wasn’t very hot, and portions were way smaller than they should have been considering the price. We would have been happy to go somewhere else if he communicated with us that food would be “to go”
The burger was good. But having to wave down our server for everything was annoying. Disappointing dinner. Lots of recent reviews of people getting sick after eating here—and one recent review of someone watching the kitchen staff not clean their hands after digging into their ear—is unnerving. Wasn’t worth the 65 minute commute from South Brooklyn.
