Just shopped at this butcher and to be honest the customer service let it down. 2 young lads serving and the lad that served us just couldn't be bothered with short curt answers and left us finding things for ourselves not like the butchers that have served us previously. As we left I did say the customer service was poor which was meet with much laughter from both lads. Not impressed and won't go back.
I find the range of meat here wonderful, but really the reason to shop here is the customer service.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help.
I have asked for advice, specific meat orders (e.g. specific cuts of beef), bulk and small orders. Nothing has put them off.
It is not "cheap", but I am very happy that I am getting high quality and a high service.
Really friendly service with knowledgeable butchers who are really keen to help shoppers. Great value box selections. Meat is top quality.
If you're after buying local they're really good, just check the source of some of the chicken breasts.
Owtons may be pricier than Tesco and similar supermarkets, but by God, the difference is amazing! The meat quality is chalk and cheese, in Owtons favour! We got some diced lamb and also some cheese and marmite pork sausages. Sausages were amazing and virtually no fat came out, lovely flavour, and tasted amazing! The lamb, well, the chunks were large, totally unlike the tiny scraps fromTesco or Aldi. Virtually no fat and just tasted like quality. The gent behind the counter was so friendly and helpful! Well worth the money! We will be back!
