I highly recommend owner inspection. It's totally worthy for the money! We had an inspection on April 24th 2024. Our inspector was Ibrahim. He was very professional. He carefully searched for many defects in the house and finally gave us a report of more than 90 pages. We asked the builder to help us rework these defects before settlement.

Pre plaster stage
Great communication again from owner inspection. Easy to book in pre plaster appointment. Our Inspector gave us a detailed report and found many defects including a major defect. Using owner inspections has been really easy. We would recommend them to anyone.

Frame inspection
Our inspector was very friendly we bumped into him at our site when having a meeting with our site manager. Very productive they completed our inspection a day earlier than expected. We thought the report was very thorough. This is our second Inspection with owner inspection. We are very pleased with them. They also have very good communication pre and post inspections.

We are First time home builders and we have hired a private inspector through Owner Inspections everything is okay first inspection was done few hours late from inspection time. It is pricey but overall everything is running smoothly.

Owner inspections
We are using owner inspections for our build in Berwick with Carlisle homes. Our pre slab pour was handled with great communication and information. We are very happy with the service so far. We received our report the same day. We had a few defects on our property. Gregg our inspector is excellent at following up with emails.

Lack of professionalism, quality and customer service
My experience with Owner Inspections has been deeply disappointing, leading me to rate them just 1 star. Initially, after making my payment, they failed to adhere to the promised inspection date. It took them over a week to respond post-payment, which was a significant delay. The second issue was regarding the quality of the inspector. Despite assurances of being assigned their best inspector, I was given a last-minute replacement who arrived without any basic tools - no measuring tape, no ladder - essentials for a thorough inspection. Furthermore, the inspector failed to check critical areas such as the roof and roof cavity, which were explicitly agreed upon. While the inspector was a great guy, the lack of experience (this was not his primary job) and thoroughness was evident and not what I had signed up for. Additionally, the inspection itself was underwhelming. The inspector failed to identify any issues beyond what I had already noticed. This was particularly concerning as I specifically required someone with expertise in QLD standards and tolerances, which was not delivered. Now, in my third week of attempting to resolve these issues with Owner Inspections, my efforts remain fruitless. After sending five emails with no substantial response, I have decided to escalate the matter to QCAT. It's a frustrating situation, and I regret choosing this company for my inspection needs. Their service fell significantly short of expectations and professional standards.
Highly recommended affordable Inspectors for New Build
I have engaged Owner Inspectors for two of my new builds. Right from the engagement to the Inspection, process has been smooth and professional. They have done very good job in identifying all the defects including major or structural which otherwise couldn't have identified. These are must to talk to builder and get them fixed and get a quality product.
