We used to love visiting and picked up some quantity of wine over the years helped in many ways by a fantastic sales lady who worked in the shop. On our last trip in June 2023 we found that the wine shop was derelict and after much searching around on the internet we learnt that the shop was now in a different location a few km away. Not a single notice on the old shop to tell you that it had moved location. On arrival at the new location there was a large sign saying that wine tasting was free under condition of purchase otherwise there is a charge for tasting 3 wines for 9€ and 15€ for 5 wines. This was a big change from before and smacked of commercial exploitation which was a big put off for us. Anyway we entered the shop hoping to find our sales lady from before but sadly she was not there. There were however three salesmen who ignored us so we took a look at the wine offer on our own , didn’t like what we saw mainly due to the higher prices and left disappointedly. I don’t think its a new owner, but rather the same one looking to squeeze more juice out of his investment. He has lost us as customers for the moment.
