Still not received any money back from this company after they stole £10000 2 years ago. Last email from director Edward was dismissive and rude. Please avoid at all costs. Many other oak design companies around with better reputation.

I went to oaknasters to design and produce my trussed roof, all purlins, ridge, plates , hips and rafters all cut precisely.
Everything fitted together perfectly, I had never done a oak roof and with help from family it was put up in one day.

Be Warned. They went backrupt last year..... Then restarted as a Phoenix Company.
They knew they were in trouble but still took our deposit. Do not touch as they have done this before and will possibly do it again.

I have a building company in Jersey, and I’ve been using Oakmasters for various projects over the past six years.
I have found them extremely helpful in ordering the oak trusses and feature beams for my projects.
Recently Edward and his team have delivered on time six large trusses and all the purlins, and ridges.
They worked with myself and the architect, the complex three roofs came together beautifully, exact percussion!!
I wouldn’t use anyone else in England to get my oak components from. I used Ed and his team for my own home.

Only 1 star because there is not an option for 0 stars. Avoid this company or the directors Edward Hamilton and family at all costs. They took a large 40% deposit from me for an oak garage in December 2020 knowing at the time the company was about to go into liquidation. Edward Hamilton now plans to rise like a phoenix having stolen cash from many customers like me. I challenged him personally in this via email and have given him sufficient time to rectify the situation which he has not done. He runs the company with his family so avoid any companies with the same directors. Including the wedding business. Easy to research the web of companies they run on companies house website. Just wish we had know before losing so much money.

A really great service, the product was great but more importantly there was a mistake with the order but it was dealt with quickly and efficiently, really appreciated.

We have had a very bad experience with Oak Masters last summer.
We said don't start unless you can finish and were reassured in writing the installation would take two weeks. The works took three months. we were also not told that they use incompetent subcontractors with some very bad attitudes.
Oak Masters communication is non existent at times, even when they say they will email or phone... often not returning our calls for 24 -48 hrs.
The oak frame never really fitted properly and we had to add fillets to cover the gaps.
They broke a window pane and the job was stalled for two weeks. (I found a pane that would fit within a week)
The doors and frames subcontracted out which we were never told about
were 2 months late.... They don't manufacture themselves so rely on others.
During the first month they left the site for 2-3 weeks and didn't even bother to tidy up.
Doors were fitted with a huge step with infill's... we had to get our own carpenter to fit the doors neatly.
They rarely visited the site despite being just up the road to inspect subcontractors. Leaving us with problems to resolve.
We were constantly told when they were off site that they would return next week but rarely did this materialise
All in all totally unprofessional and incompetent .. with an attitude problem by some staff.. Instead of an enjoyable experience of having a new garden room it turned out to be a DIY SOS ... Avoid at all costs.

These guys normally go for bigger projects such as house frames, swimming pool buildings, which look stunning. I wished to have some of this beauty at my Brighton flat. I was very pleased for them to have designed a very lovely mezzanine for my spare room with a bed on top and a reading corner underneath. Sleeping there is a joy as it is very beautiful. Having done my extensive research into oak design, supply and build companies, I trusted Oakmasters with the contract to come up with a sympathetic extension to compliment our Victorian cottage in the south downs national park.
From initial consultation and design brief, through to project management and on site build, their approach has been nothing short of exceptional. Their communication throughout the process has been amazing.
I would definitely recommend Oakmasters.
I have used Oakmasters services on three properties: on all occasions the staff were knowledgeable, responsive and creative. One of my more ambitious projects (a large stand alone pool house with media room) needed their expert touch to bring my ideas in line with local planning polices - the Managing Director and Senior Architect joined me in meeting with the council planning officer and gained agreement on a design that exceeded my expectations and satisfied the council. Highly recommend.
I would recommend Oakmasters without any reservations. We had a single storey brick garage alongside the house and wanted to replace this with a double storey building, with a new office space on the upper level. Asking around, we had three people recommend Oakmasters so their reputation preceded them. We took quotes from three companies and opted for Oakmasters for a number of reasons. Expertise and customer focus shone through at every step. They clearly know their trade and oversaw a successful planning application with the council. Design went without a hitch, and the subsequent build is first class - oak is a beautiful material and the details are just right. Their craftsmen are highly skilled. When any problems were encountered, they came to us with solutions. This is a major investment and you want to choose the right partner. The whole experience with Oakmasters was flawless, and I’d highly recommend them.
