NYCWheelchair – Outstanding Accessible Transportation in NYC! NYCWheelchair completely transformed our New York City trip! After a terrible first day with NYC Yellow Taxis—where a handicap-accessible cab actually refused to take us when they saw my wife in a wheelchair—and a disappointing experience with ADA (they didn’t even secure her properly, forcing her to hold on in the back), we were worried about the rest of our stay. Then we found NYCWheelchair, and everything changed. Their drivers were professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. They treated us with respect, ensured my wife was safely secured every time, and made us feel comfortable and valued. Every ride was smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. I was very inpressed with their dervice, they emailed and texted us updates on when teh driver was going to arive and the type and color of the car picking us up. They also called to make sure the drive was there at the time they said tehy were going to show. You have to pay first before they dispatch the taxi. The fare to pay is terrible. Had to go from 11103 to 11102 and they made me pay 53.38 The minivan is so dirty. Pics taken.

EDITED TO ADD: My confirmation number was 17267. I see the owner replied saying they didn't have me in their system. Hopefully they can use that number to see the initial reservation, as well as many, many follow-up messages and emails I have sent them to try to address my concerns with their service and customer response. I can't say I'm surprised that they couldn't find my reservation - they don't seem to know much about customer service! I'm not sure this company is still in business. I attempted to file a complaint with the NY CPS after they charged me over $1k (without authorization or notice) for a ride I didn't receive, and NY CPS notified me that their address wasn't valid and the email is broken. This is probably for the best, as their customer service is atrocious. I attempted to book their services for an agreed-upon price, and then the day before the service they charged me an extra 40% without letting me know - I only found out when I checked my credit card statement. I then spoke to the dispatcher who was actually supplying the ride and he told me that there was a $300 mark-up on the rider that this company was taking for absolutely no reason. Bottom line - took over $1k from me, I spent 6 weeks trying to get the money back, and even the New York Consumer Protection Service can't get hold of them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so pleased with the service!!! The driver was punctual and helped take my dad in his wheelchair up and down the steps of the building! The van was immaculate and there was a plastic divider to keep all of us Covid safe!! I will definitely use them again!

My grandma just took you guys a few days back and she lifes in Manhattan. I live in Florida and she needed help getting to the grocery store. She has a hard time getting around since she been in a wheel chair since she got in an accident a few months back.. She called me and asked if I can help and I found you guys. A company where you feel that you are treated like an individual--I use them for getting my father to appointments and recently, for myself (for extra safety from COVID). Friendly and incredibly helpful, if the phone wasn't answered immediately, I received a call back in under a minute. Would that all service-based companies treated customers this way. Drivers are all professional. They also send texts on the hr, half hour and when you car is in route, all very helpful. I highly recommend them!
