Nu Ice & Drinks is definitely one of the best spots to stop by for boba tea! They also offer shaved ice cream, which is just as delicious. One of my personal favorites here is the Taro Milk Tea, it’s perfectly sweet and always hits the spot.
Their menu has an incredible variety of drinks, so there’s always something new to try. The customer service is excellent, and the staff is consistently quick when it comes to preparing drinks. I’ve never had to wait long, which makes the experience even better.
Shaved ice here is really good, sweet, and refreshing. It’s on the sweeter side compared to other bingsu/shaved ice places. I got taro and mango in mountain size and didn’t taste those flavors didn’t taste artificial. Boba wasn’t as chewy (compared to my previous visits). Atmosphere is very loud as they have a lot of pop, upbeat songs playing and a machine that shaves ice. On an empty day, it was ready in 3 minutes and 30 secs. Deducted a star cause the place was really dirty.

This is a great spot if you're looking for refreshing desserts and drinks. The shaved ice is light and flavorful, and the boba drinks are well made with plenty of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh, and the presentation was fun and appealing.
The atmosphere is casual and lively, and the staff was friendly and efficient even though the place was busy. It's clearly a popular spot, especially in the evenings.
The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that seating can feel a bit crowded at times, and wait times can increase during peak hours. Still, it's a great place to hang out and enjoy something sweet.
Overall, I would definitely come back and recommend it if you're in the area and craving desserts or boba.
First time having shaved ice. So many options of flavors. We went with mango and almond, with fresh fruit with the strawberry drizzle. It was refreshing.
Took my kiddos, we devoured every single bite. The shaved iced is light, refreshing, tasty. Bobas sides were the perfect texture, sides of fruit were fresh. Portions are generous.
Highly recommend. The owner, Ming, is so dedicated to his craft he has a license plate that says Boba on it. Respect.

Nu Ice & Drinks is a Houston original that's been perfecting its craft since 2010. Their signature Nu Ice -- real fruit shaved ice with a cotton candy-like texture -- is genuinely unique and lives up to the hype. The 10-hour preparation process results in incredibly light, flavorful layers that aren't like typical snow cones or ice cream. Topping and drizzle customization is extensive and fun.
The boba menu is equally impressive, with honey boba and salted caramel whipped cream standing out. Vietnamese coffee and specialty frappes are solid, high-quality options.
The only drawbacks are occasional long waits (a legacy of those insane lines) and the location can feel tight during peak hours. But the quality remains consistent and the owners clearly care deeply about their product.

This place is so yummy in my tummy and makes me so so happy with their delicious and creamy ice desserts. Shaved ice is such a delight and I highly recommend trying your favorite flavor with some awesome toppings. Strawberry, mochi and condensed milk... you can never go wrong with those!

However tipping culture has gotten so malignant. I ordered just one hill ice cream and was told by my friends that the cashier was calling me cheap for not tipping. There is no service beyond making the ice cream...
They don't even bring it to you, they just call the name.
Once again great ice cream, but I don't think I'll only he ordering to-go if I ever do again.
