PU NU Car rental Stinks P-U NU Car rental (so called) business ---5 negitiveSTARS I should have checked ALL of the reviews, TERRIBLE company very poor communication, no clarity in charges and /or hidden expenses. I clearly explained my ( very well known ) insurance company would supply coverage and all charges and yet they continued to charge me an amount that was almost double the original weekly charge. No chance after you drop off your rental to finalize the charges or have them try to explain why the hidden cost. When you drop off your rental through the in foreign language or gestures the hired help proceed to corral you rapidly to the shuttle service or are extremely rude if you approach the inside counter with questions. Why are the reviews low as well as the prices?....they really aren't they end up costing way more than the well known company's DO NOT USE N U CAR RENTALS...ITS A SCAM AND RIPOFF...Tim G. TOTAL SCAM! **Terrible Experience with Nu Car Rental** I had an absolutely awful experience with Nu Car Rental. They are nothing short of a scam! After explicitly telling them I didn’t want insurance and signing a waiver to that effect, they still proceeded to charge me hundreds of dollars for something they misleadingly call an "insurance waiver." The sneaky and scammy wording they use is incredibly deceptive! They claimed to have pulled security footage to prove that insurance wasn’t discussed, but they refuse to show it to me. Talk about untrustworthy! Not to mention, the car I received looked like it had been completely ripped apart by border patrol. To make matters worse, their call center representatives are incredibly rude. It’s frustrating to deal with a company that clearly prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of Nu Car Rental if they value their hard-earned money and want to avoid a headache.

hidden fee, i want to give -1* for the service and Car. i booked 7 seater , on my arrival they don't have the 7 seater. they gave me 9 seater which i don't need. i took that and diver while i want to charge my phone check the charger pot, that doesn't work. if i open the passenger window i cant close for a while. no viper for back window. i call them i explain all these issue , they said ok we will take care. in the end they don't event carte about that but that 9 seater back seat we never open, next day they sent the picture and said we broke the seat cover, that side we never used. additionally one chocolate drop in the front seat the charge that cleaning fee total 920 Swiss franc charge from my credit card. they are giving little cheaper than other rental companies but in the they want to make extra money so they charging other ways. i never going to take this kind of rental again. i did so many rental in so many counties, never face this kind of issue. so sorry to write this review but this is real the want to take more money in other ways.

Said no to insurance and still charged. Scammed on fuel Scam. Said no to all insurance. Charged for loss damage waiver Told ok to return with a not full fuel tank would be charged 2.79 a gallon charge $12.99 a gallon.

The rental experience was perfect. Armando who helped me was extremely courteous helpful and went the extra mile to create an easy and smooth rental. The car was clean and well maintained. The price was affordable. In all honesty it was the best car rental experience I've had in a long time. I will be back!! There were also plenty of vehicles to choose from

DO NOT RENT FROM NU CAR NU Car make it quick and easy after you declined their optioins. NU Car told you to initial and your good and on your way. F>>K No! Here is where NU Car get you and mostly likely, your already prepaid and no refund. You lose that money already. On the receipt they tapped on all kinds of taxes that you'd already paid through your bookings. Now, on their clause they added on LOSS DAMAGED WAIVER and SUPPLIMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE that they reverse the language from "WAIVED" or"DECLINED" to "ACCEPT". Now your extra fees will cost 1.5 times more than what you already paid. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

This company was awful beginning to end! They rope you into their expensive insurance but do not take it as it's something your personal insurance will take care of!! I was high pressured into this by a guy and felt highly uncomfortable! Then the car gas was at 3/4 tank, PLEASE CHECK AND ALERT! Then all tires were low! Do not rent from these guys!!

FRAUD/DECEPTION, then refusal to resolve!! I was shocked when I received my final bill to see that they added $250 to a $150 charge for a short term car rental. That's an increase of 166% from what was initially paid and agreed to. None of the add ons were mentioned, much less agreed to. All were a surprise at the end. In fact, the agent specifically stated that they were NOT going to be added. After numerous attempts at resolution, they made it very clear the fraudulent charges would stand, and would not be refunded. The agent was very smooth, and very deceptive, to the point of flat out lying (when I checked out the car), but they couldn't care less. I let them know I would leave this review, and they didn't care about that either. It was clear this was standard practice for them. Do not trust a word they say...and DO NOT do business with them!

Paid for rental by Bookings .com. At counter, agent used my credit card for $150 deposit, said I would not be charged except fuel. Used $45@ for prepaid fuel. Nucar deducted $150.14 -- for fuel and toll pass(apparently I initialled ) No mention of toll charges. Will never use NUCAR again-- misleading and liars.

Don't, I mean don't rent a car from this company. They advertise that they are the cheapest out there. But if you go there, they add a lot of money. We rented a car from them every day at 15.00. From the airport we went to in Phoenix, you have to drive 7 miles from the airport and hitch a ride to their place. The line to the place was once short but it took me over an hour to talk to someone. Then they started adding options to the car that we didn't need and said we would. All said and done and to rent a car for 7 days costs over 600.00. Plus the car they gave me had bad suspension and it was shaky driving over 60 mph, so I brought it back in and they swapped me for another car. Then they did not move to another car on the gas paid I bought from the first car and then I was charged 12.99 per gallon for the gas. I got a refund but it took over an hour on the phone and I had to actually complain to get it back. Please don't approach them.

I agree if I could give negative stars I would also. Rented a car from them in *******, ** and worst experience renting a car. Location was off site in an industrial area that looked like a converted restaurant with make shift walls. When renting the car I stated that I decline all additional coverage and proceeded to ******* where I was told too which should have been the decline area. After arriving home I received a bill for coverage that I had declined. The rental of this car is now more than if I had rented from any other onsite company.Customer service was horrible, basically stated "Sorry" tough luck you need to pay.I will never rent from this company every again!If after all the negative reviews you still rent READ and DOUBLE READ everything as they lie to you about where to initial to get you the additional coverage you don't want.

These guys are dishonest misleading crooks. They advertise a low rate then charge you 8x that when you show up to pay! I would give a zero star if I could. STAY AWAY, go to a reputable car rental place! I come to Denver several times a year and NEVER AGAIN will I rent a car from them.

0 star based my my experience days ago. Please read my story on TripAdvisor - I rented an SUV from this company from 12/25-31, 2024 and was charged an outrageous $1616.11 instead of my originally booking at Hotels.com for $659.94. I have rented cars in my past many times and this was the first time I experienced such a dishonest practice. Another family booked through Expedia and spoke to a different representative on the same day experienced the same situation. They ended up paid $1616.20 for their SUV. This is a fraudulent business. Please check the BBB website - avoid a this business like a plaque. Don't make the same mistake I made, thinking you are saving money then ending up being robbed during the daylight!

If I could give negative stars, I would. This car rental company operates like a scam. This is a tourist trap. They shuttle away from *********** to a separate location where you don't have any other option.Customers consistently being misled by low advertised prices, only to face hidden fees and aggressive upselling tactics upon arrival. Many are forced to pay for unnecessary insurance and toll passes, even when they had their own coverage. Vehicles provided are often poorly maintained, with reports of faulty brakes, flat tires, and other safety hazards. The offsite locations are difficult to reach and poorly managed, with long waits and unprofessional staff. **************** is unresponsive, unhelpful, and often dismissive. These deceptive practices and unethical treatment leave most renters furious and vowing never to use Nu Car Rentals again. Avoid at all costs!

I would go elsewhere to rent a car. I gave them a try again to see if maybe they got better cars. Last year I rented a car, and my battery died at the hotel I had to call AAA to jump start us and almost missed my flight home. This year in December 20-23, 2024 I rented a car. On day 2 my battery died lucky got it started up again and drove it back to the location 40 minutes away. Got the 2nd car driving it halfway back to the hotel the tire pressure light came on and a warning light came on. I had to turned around and took it back in. I finally got another car and just made it on time to see the kids perform since I was there for a cheer competition. I've been renting cars for the pass 10 years due to cheer competition and I never had this kind of experience with cars. As for the shuttle it was a joke, we had an early flight, and it took over 45 minutes to get on a shuttle to take us to the airport which is ridiculous at 5am. and it took 30 minutes to pick us up from the airport. STAY AWAY AND RENT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

AVOID AT ALL COST The worst.I made my reservation through ******* for 3 days on the second weekend in Dec. 2024 Their rates were extremely low in comparison to the other companies in the area. The total I was charged upfront was $99. Which seems reasonable as I had previously rented a car just a few weeks back from another company close to this facility and my total came to $154 for a full ******* I arrived at the facility from ***, I proceeded to the first window on the left, helped by *******. He was speaking low and it was hard to hear him over the music in the background. I had to ask him several times to repeat what he was asking and noticed his voice tone was still at the same level. At this point I felt a little strange. It felt like ******* was trying to trick me into paying for things I didn't want or need. Which he did. I put my initial and signed to options I thought I had waived, instead, there were charges. I was charged for road side assistance and insurance coverage, which I didn't want because my Credit Card provider provides these to me. NU Car Rentals also added a security deposit for $300 even though I presented an out of state Drivers License.Once I got back home from my work try, I received the invoices via email showing an additional charge of $334 for the options mentioned above. I contacted them immediately and I tried to ask for a reimbursement as I did not agree on getting these options, but they provided a copy of the receipt with my initials outlining the cost of these options, in which I thought I had initial to waive them. I felt hopeless and blindsided at this point. Important: Be careful, they'll try to add unexpected fees to your bill. Read the fine print closely so you're not surprised later and ask for clarification on everything. Don't initial or sign anything until you're sure they didn't add anything you didn't ask for. Also, ask for copies of everything you signed and review them before leaving the facility.

I wish there was 0 stars. Worst experience of my life I canceled my reservation on December 3. The refund was never issued. I called them about five times in each one of them said that it takes 7 to 14 business days. On December 30 I called and they said the refund was never issued. after asking the customer service, why She hung up on me. I got a hold of somebody else who also said the refund was never issued and she was going to issue it after asking her why it took them almost a month she hung up on me. Also I contacted a third ****** which was a guy named *** * believe who was the worst ****** Ive ever had to deal with in my life and customer service.. He actually yelled at me saying that its my problem and that I need to send an email for me to get a refund. He would not listen to me would not let me get a word.. I asked to speak to a supervisor, which he refused. *** never had anybody in customer service actually physically yell at **. I tried to ask him questions, but he said I do not want to talk to you and hung up on me. This has been the worst experience in my life. Do not use this company.
