Talk about not getting your moneys worth!
I ordered two items from North Style that arrived on May 14, 2025. One was too small so I immediately attached the enclosed return label and sent it back, requesting an exchange for the next larger size. Almost a month later it hasn't arrived so I called and they claimed they never received it. The two occasions I had hoped to wear it have passed, so I asked for a refund. They'll do it, but charge a $11+ fee for restocking. Restocking what, if they never got it? So I don't have a dress and they have money for nothing. Nice little racket.
North Style isn't worth the trouble
North Style has some nice clothing but their customer service, return policy and shipping is HORRIBLE! When all other retailers offer free shipping much of the time, theirs is stupid high,
almost $20/order. They send emails on the same day with a discount and free shipping, then only honor one, but nothing in the emails or the checkout says you can only use one. If you want to return something, pay for it. If you want free shipping, their "rewards program" is $20/mo (who's getting the reward?!), customer service can't help you with anything. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
Terrible Customer Service
This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I refuse to ever order from them again.
I received a Christmas gift from my father. I didn't like the item and wanted to return it to the company for a North Style credit. I also didn't want my father to know that I was returning the item. I have done this successfully with many other companies but there was no procedure in place to do this with North Style.
First, when you call the customer service line, you are calling a center with people reading from scripts. They have no script for this issue so you have to ask to be transferred to a US representative of which there must only be a few because I kept speaking with the same woman. (Of course, I had to go through this whole process multiple times and keep re-explaining the process until I could get the US rep. There was no direct line to the US rep.)
Apparently, the only way to do a return or exchange with this company is for them to refund the person who purchased the item (my father.). So, I would then have to ask him to buy me another item since he was the one being refunded.
To get around this, the US rep said that I had to write a letter explaining that I did not want the original order refunded. Instead, I wanted a store credit sent to my address. I told her that I was concerned the return would just be quickly scanned and no one would actually read the letter. She said that the letter would indeed be read. So, I wrote a whole letter explaining the situation and sent it back with the item. Of course, they just scanned it and refunded my father. I called to ask what happened and this same rep (after having to go through the main call center again) said that the person who did it must have been new and not known to read the letter. I asked if they would give me a store credit since they had created this situation and they would not.
To compare, I just went through a similar thing with LL Bean and they resolved the whole situation within 3 minutes. The NorthStyle situation took weeks.
It's ridiculous that they don't have a protocol for gifts.

unauthorized charging of my account

My account was debited with an unauthorized amount of 21.45, I have never enrolled in any reward program, I have not received any response to my complaint on the company's home page, so my only choice to get my money back is to refunse payment.
Return Hassle
Ordered a dress based on their size recommendations and it was really large when I tried it on. I went to return it but the label they sent me was half printed and defective so I had to contact customer service to get a new return label printed. They then proceeded to tell me that once I returned the item I had to call them back with a tracking number. I was also then told there would be a return fee deducted from my item of $11.95! I have never experienced this with any other company I have ordered from! The fee to return is outrageous and the hassle on my part to return one item is unbelievable!! I am very dissatisfied with this company and will not be ordering from them again. Would not recommend this company to anyone!
Do NOT order from North Style!
I placed an online order in May 2024 and was unknowlingly signed up for their Rewards Program. A rewards program that YOU pay $21.55 per month for the "privilege" of being a member. My husband pays our credit card bills on line so I didn't catch that they had been charging me each month right away. After I noticed it I went back through our statements and saw that I had been charged in June, July, August, and September. I called CapitalOne and told them that I had not authorized any payments to North Style Rewards and to refuse the charge. Unfortunately they were only able to cancel the September charge. So today I called North Style to find out why they had been charging me for a program that I had never signed up for. Was on the phone for nearly 30 minutes and spoke with 4 different people and demanded a refund for the charges in June, July, and August. The customer service rep said that they would refund my money but it could take a few days to show up on my credit card statement so we'll see if they actually follow through.
Worst customer service I have ever had. Possibly a scam site

"Nothing but Style" in my experience should be renamed “Anything but Customer Service".
My daughter and I have been trying for 18 months to try and get a modest refund of £138.75.
We have jumped through all the hoops thrown at us, including providing evidence of the goods being safely returned with proof of posting.
We have spoken to trading standards who advised us to take this matter up with the Small Claims Court.
We have asked “Nothing but Style” for its registered name and company address so we can initiate a small claims case. It has not provided this. That is clearly exceptionally poor customer service, if not extremely suspicious.
They have simply stopped communicating.

NEVER BUY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY
If I could give zero stars, I would. They lied about what the blouse I ordered was made of. Said that it was linen. It is cotton and polyester and looks cheap. It is poorly made and not worth more than about $10, not the $49.95 they charged for a misrepresented piece of clothing. They will not give me my money back for something they blatantly lied about. Now they changed their email so that they will not receive any correspondence. They operate under other names too, so my advice is to only order from reputable brands that you know online. No matter how companies like Northstar Style may make it seem like their clothes are beautiful or a good deal, they aren’t. It is a scam. I have enclosed photos to show what they tried to make you think you were buying and the second photo shows what I got and how cheap the material looks.
Significant drop in quality this year. Will have to find another clothing store
I’ve bought your clothes for years. I especially buy the cropped , cuffed summer pants. This year I’ve noticed the bottom has dropped out of the quality. They are being made with no seam fabric. This summer I’ve have several pairs that I wear and end up tossing out because there wasn’t enough fabric in the seam. And they weren’t tight at all.
I’m going to need to find another place to buy my clothes. Also the same size by label is not the same size in reality. I am very sad.
Poor return process - poor quality clothes
The return process is brutal. I have yet to see my return processed and I submitted the return on June 21. It isn't even showing that it's been received because of the process between USPS and FedEx. Not necessarily Fed Ex/USPS fault but that whole process is adding to my frustration.
The return label is going to say postal through USPS. However, then USPS contracts with FedEx to return it. So it will go to a postal office where FedEx will pick up the package and take it from there. But USPS won't tell you that when they give you a tracking number and it is sitting "in transit" status for three weeks so far. I had to call USPS numerous time to try to figure this all out. When I call FedEx they turn me back to USPS. But this is all NorthStyle's fault for not paying for and providing for an easier way to return items. I hope this process eventually finishes and I get a return for the items I've returned.
With that said, one of the dresses I got tore the 2nd time I wore it. The seam just frayed away. I called and they at least processed a refund without requiring me to return the dress.
But at the end of that call, yes they asked if I wanted to participate in a reward program. No way. I mentioned I would never order from them again given both of these experiences.
Not ethical company, lied to the Better Business Bureau
I ordered a dress and it never arrived in time for the event I needed to wear it at. Contacted customer support. They sent me another one. It didn't fit. I ended up getting the other dress when I returned from the event. I returned both dresses and asked for a refund on the original dress. They promised they would send it in the mail and never did. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and they lied to them as well. Do not do business with this company.
Don’t sign up!
i can’t believe what i’ve just been through with North Style rewards-my credit card has been charged $21.00 per month for “rewards”. Who on earth would pay $21 to get 5% back-THIS IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF and SCAM! DO NOT SIGN UP
I had no knowledge that I would pay a monthly fee -this is simply awful from a so called reputable company. Very Disappointing-Shame on North Style
I am trying to unsubscribe from membership and of course there is no way to do that. I call customer service and there are only 2 options -- place an order or cancel an order. So I went to their online step. It has no option to request that. Seriously? Now I REALLY want to cancel my membership. That makes horrible customer service for me.
BUYER BEWARE
BE WARNED...Never, ever order from NorthStyle. I placed a considerable order eight (8) days ago. (All in stock items). They claim it takes 3 to 5 days to process an order. However, at this writing, they have yet to ship the order. I will not ever order from them again. Their customer service stinks and has been extremely vague in their response to my inquiry. And then, they want to charge me almost $11 to return anything I don't want. NEVER, EVER AGAIN! Don't walk, RUN!!!!
Horribe- Rewards Program did not sign up for
I purchased 1 item from this store, after that I was automatically signed up for their rewards...?
I was charged $21.15 twice within 30 days! Than to have to dispute with the credit card company for over 30 minutes! I will not be purchasing from this company anymore, 1 and done!
