Our group of 6 went with Nomad Adventures, guided by Ankur bhaiya, on the journey of trekking the Kuari pass & Pangarchulla peak, towering over 15,000ft (~4500 mts). From Rishikesh, we started our (gruelling) journey towards Joshimath. We stayed the night, warming ourselves, petting Tommy and getting acclimatized. Additional trekking equipment such as trekking poles / ponchos can be hired / bought (or bring your own). The next day, leaving our comfort home & comfort zone, we started the trek through the beautiful village of Togashi, onwards through mountain forests, winding streams and blossoming rhododendrons, towards our campsite. The trek may make you break a sweat but it's a prelude to an even serene destination, our base camp, Khullara @ over11,000ft. Availabilities included but was not limited to swag food, even swagger 😎 pantry staff (they were working even under rain & freezing temperatures, to provide us with food), network (find the spot by following the crowd or ask your guide), sports, and most importantly (for me) the night sky πŸ’«, good company, mother nature & mountains πŸ—» ... all you could ask for... While trekking during mid-April, we witnessed hailstorms & snowfall 🌨 more than once, at Khullara basecamp. The weather is truly unpredictable up here πŸ₯Ά. Available destinations accessible from Khullara includes Kuari pass, Pangarchulla peak, & Tali lake (a must visit here, especially during the golden hour πŸŒ…), Auli etc. Trek to kuari pass started around midmorning, and it can be best utilized as warmup for pushing the Pangarchulla summit, which starts around the following midnight, or as an energizing hike. I believe being within the lap of mountains is a luxury in itself, and that, it teaches us to be humble towards people who are working hard to make our stay comfortable and to keep us safe. For that matter, being cautious before making any move in the mountains keeps us sfae first, then our group & our fellow travellers. Always ask for help, before it's too late (I got lost in the mountains once, and I probably survived only because of my guides' perserseverance). In the mountains, you shall be surprised of how many people go out of their way to help someone. Trekking toughens the ties between travelllers. It was a very difficult trek, very. We laughed, cried, cursed, swallowed for oxygen, sometimes even doubting ourselves.... but walking alongside everyone, & with Ankur bhaiya literally watching our backs, we made it! A journey becomes great with a great company. And we probably got the best companions we could've ever asked for, in this trek. See you through the mountain stars someday :):

Well the Brahmatal Trek was the first ever trek I have done in my life. I am very happy that I got the opportunity to do this with Nomad Adventures as the support/organizing staff and Team here was and will always remain a great memory for me. The Way the trek Leaders helped throughout. They showed tremendous patience and were extremely knowledgeable and I definitely learn a lot from doing this trek with them. The food prepared by kitchen Staff/chef sent along was just amazing and so close to home cooked food, that I couldn't stop licking my fingers every meal. Yes, this trek is the right one for beginners as many have already pointed out before, but having the right trek guides like we had ( Surya bhai and Aman bhai) was a blessing in disguise. I would definitely love to do more treks with the Nomad Adventures Group and I wish them loads of success in the future. Hope that our paths cross again soon someday.

This is one of the best experience I had so far Listing my top things I liked 1. Hospitality. Our trek lead Aman and Surya were experienced(BMC and trained guides) and they became more like family by the end of trek 2. Knowledge. For the first time I got knowledge on many aspects. Like how to determine weather based on winds, clouds and how animals and birds react when weather changes, which cannot be noticed by us. Again thanks to the trek leads 3. Food. Oh boy, the best. Though there were lots of dhabas on the trails, I was drooling over the food at campsites. And not to forget, we always got lunch rather than packed lunch which is a good thing 4. Medical care. Luckily I was neither injured this time not affected with AMS or anything else. But few members had certain health concerns and we always had proper care. Brownie points to the guides who always kept an eye on all the trekkers' health without them noticing. Also we got reminders for time to time hydration. 5. Morale. Yep the most mentally influential factor. The organisers ensured that the morale was never down even though there were crazy winds, lurking animals, health issues etc

I went to the Brahmatal Trek with Nomad Adventures. As a 18 year old and a solo trekker, i loved the way nomad adventures guided me and i learned a lot of things. I almost felt like a local the way they treated me and i love the fact that they conduct treks in the most raw way possible. They conduct treks in the most natural way which teaches us a lot of things and it is such an experience. Unlike other organisations who spoon-feed their clients. i would totally recommend nomad adventures and I'm always gonna trek with them.
