Very Good
Internet raczej słaby i trzeba było go łapać w okolicy recepcji. Ładowarkę również można było podłączyć tylko w recepcji.

So much potential but fell short on the basics- not worth the amount we paid
☺ The tents were spacious and beds extremely comfortable with charging point. Extra blanket and lamp.
☹ When we checked into Nine Yards, they explained that there were two portaloos near tents and we could use the rugby club toilets and showers and that they close at 12 midnight when the bar closes. We returned from the festival at 11.30 and the club was closed. There were two toilets for all the tents in the rugby club and they were in a terrible condition. The two portaloos were also very unclean. For the price we paid for accommodation, Nine Yards really need to make sure that the facilities don’t close early and are available and clean. There was a queue to use these facilities at 11.30 for the guests and for paying nearly £250 per night, that is unacceptable. Also on your description it states ‘Breakfast included’. When we arrived, we found out we had to pay extra so chose not to as we had paid over the odds for the tents.
Decent stay with comfy beds and friendly.
☺ The bell tents were big and the beds inside were very comfortable so we had a decent night every night.
Could do with a small table per bed but we managed with the one.
Staff were always visible so if you had any questions someone was always around to help.
You were close to the facilities so always helpful especially on the wet days, the bar was decent and with it being small people just got talking so added to the experience. Plenty of room to park bikes on paved areas so not needed to park on the grass, I also felt very safe and my bike secured while staying. Not far to walk into castletown so location was good. Tents had a light were carpeted and there was a mirror hung on the main pole with one table. The tent was spacious and we never had any issues, good duvet and two comfy pillows with blanket kept us cosy.
☹ Nothing I didn't like but worth mentioning is the advertising of the bell tents - when I booked it back in 2024 was advertised as a luxury tent, with it even saying there was champagne, cookies and fruit for guests, when I mentioned this on arrival they didn't know what I was talking about. I felt I had been misled but I will stress i was happy with my stay. I just think it's worth looking at how it's being worded. I wasn't the only one to question the advertising during my stay as you get talking to other guests quite a few were shocked at the shower facilities. Some people may not be bothered, but for some it may.. so the showers would usually be communal but they have put shower curtains in between to give you privacy but it sounds like it was all too close for comfort for some. Also just because it could be something worth looking at in future, people coming here during this time to watch the racing are on their bikes so aren't carrying everything with them or unable to do so but wanted to mention how great it would have been if a hairdryer was available, even having access to a tea and coffee station out of hours of a cafe being open would have been fantastic, we experienced a few rainy days and would have to have a tea at McDonald's for something warm in Douglas but then riding back in rain and not being able to have a hot drink is a shame, I seen one guest disappointed that they were unable to purchase a hot tea in the bar and subsequently had to have a cold drink. Just little things like that would have added to the experience as it's the little things.
Ok, but by no means great.
☺ The location was certainly the best part about it.
☹ Let’s face it, it’s a tent on a school field. How good could it be. A few more creature comforts like extra blankets, portable toilets closer to the tents, better lighting etc would’ve just made the difference. It’s very basic for the money paid which was equivalent to a hotel.
Good
☺ Location was fairly central and tents were good, but we felt the cold weather which I guess is understandable
Had a huge storm one night which destroyed a few tents - fortunately most including ours survived
☹ Glamping on school grounds meant the toilets and showers were not in great shape.
Toilets had no seats the day we arrived but there must have been a few complaints as within a day or so they all had new seats so one didn't have to lay ones butt on cold porcelain. We all survived and so not a bad option for a great "bucket list" event like the TT !!
Good but too expensive
☺ Really good tents. Really good beds.
☹ No issues with the premises. Just the general staff wasn’t bothered about stuff.
But the owner was on it. Really helpful. And the night shift guy from Liverpool was a diamond.
It’s a robbery though. I payed £800 for 3 nights in a tent
Wonderful
☺ The food from the kitchen was absolutely fantastic, the breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Staying at the school was a unique experience, highly recommended!
☹ It would be great if a water boiler or microwave could be added, so we could make something to eat when coming back late.
The beef rice at dinner was really tasty, though the price was a bit on the high side.
