In response to my previous review, NYSC stated as follows:

NYSC just sent a notification that operations are ending on 5/31/25 and transferring all memberships to Oceanside… Not only did NYSC lie in their response, they are automatically transferring membership without consult to customers. It’s bad management practices like this why their GC location is shutting down

They recently relocated many of their machines to open up space in the basement.
Whenever I ask “why,” the employees are extremely vague & give me the runaround. Usually, this means a company is preparing to either move or be acquired. I also saw some employees from Northwell Health taking a tour of the basement…
I’d give them 3-4months tops before they terminate operations. A true shame... Likely never recovered from COVID

I've been interacting with Tina. I think she's a manager or assistant manager beside being a beautiful girl. She has a beautiful personality, and any time I needed something. She was always there to train me the right way. I'm sorry to hear that the place is closing. please have a notice about where Tina will be going because I'll be sure to join that club. If it's not too far away. You need more people like Tina. She knows what she's doing.
do not join. i called to cancel and they’re stating i did not cancel and now are trying to send me to collections. sauna was horrible, machinery outdated. staff rude and unable to help

Good gym. Needs later closing hours. 10pm is very early for a gym and they dont care about people that dont work the typical 9-5. Now might have to look for a new gym as it looks like they are reducing the space to an already small gym. I like the location of the gym but seriously needs more space and operation hours.

I had a very disappointing experience at this facility. As a parent of an autistic child, I was met with a lack of understanding and professionalism from the staff, who came across as rude and unwelcoming. Additionally, the facility itself seemed poorly maintained and not very clean. I strongly recommend considering alternative options, such as CycleBar, where you might find a more inclusive and welcoming environment. I hope this facility takes steps to improve its customer service and cleanliness.

So I was at the gym tonight and one of the employees there one of the newer women who when you see always has the RBF came down at 9:55 made everyone aware that we had five minutes Left , three minutes later she felt the need to tell everyone that we had two minutes left, as I was finishing my last set, she tells me it’s 10 o’clock as Iam in med set she felt like she needed to explain to me a grown man what 10 o’clock meant . I don’t know if being redundant is a cause of her, hating her job her not wanting to be there or misery and bitterness from God knows what. But they really need to chill out . People have life stuff going on too , everyone does. So be pleasant or don’t speak at all and ruin peoples night by opening your mouth . I mean, besides the equipment being dated the hours of operation stink they close the earliest out of any gym I’ve ever seen or been to on top of that you have these unpleasant employees speaking down to clients like we’re employed by them. They really need to get some better management and run a tighter ship.

2 stars for a recent trend of equipment gone missing... small kettle bells and cable machine accessories continue to disappear without being replaced. This creates disruption in ones workout and a feeling of disrespect.

I had a debilitating stroke almost 4 years ago. I vowed to prove my Virginia doctor wrong because he told me I would at best make a 65 percent recovery. I am currently on day 285 of a streak in which I work out every single day for a minimum of three hours. God willing I will be able to work out for a minimum of three hours for 2130 consecutive days. I’m doing this to inspire others who have suffered a debilitating stroke. My workouts are very intense and I love this wonderful gym. This NYSC gym has an abundance of fabulous equipment and a wonderful staff. I will miss them all very much. I will also miss the extremely nice people who are members. here. This is a fabulous gym and I will miss this gym probably more than just about anything else in Long Island. Without question, I think this is the best Gym value in New York State

I went to Stretchlab in Roslyn and they were very insistent on me signing up with them. I signed up and unfortunately was unable to use them because of an illness.
I went into the store and spoke to the manager Emily and told her I was unable to use them because of an illness. She said I had to pay anyway.
I just got my credit card bill and was charged $209.00. Never used their services. Be careful about signing up for anything. They take your money anyway.
