As the Doctor I saw was really nice I would like to say as given that I have a severe concussion and the whole reason I was going in to see a neurologist in the first place. I was told from the front desk girl that even though I had BCBS silver pathways that usually they just pay so I shouldn't have to worry about paying for the appointment only to realize that I was charged almost $700.00 dollars for a ten minute visit which easily could have been avoided had I was told the truth, and for me to look for another provider that did excepted my insurance. So now do I not only have to pay for a very expensive insurance that i pay monthly for my family, but now I have a huge medical bill that could of been avoided. I feel so very taken advantage of, all of this could have been easily avoided had the front desk girl just told the truth instead of allowing me to be seen to know that they do not take my insurance. This concussion has already been such a strain on me and my family and work and now I am stuck with a huge bill. As being in the medical field myself I know how detrimental this can affect 1 person and there financial situation and I would never risk a lie to anyone for this reason. Do better when hiring your front desk staff because maybe this has no affect to them and clearly could care less If the one stuck with paying something that could of easily been avoided had I just been told the truth in the beginning. So discouraging and disappointing!!!!
