I celebrated my birthday here last weekend with friends and had such an amazing time. The space is absolutely gorgeous with a great vibe from the moment you walk in. The staff was professional, welcoming, and helpful from check-in all the way through the night.
Our waitress was handling quite a few tables, so service wasnât always super attentive, but she was incredibly kind and made sure we were taken care of.
The food was outstanding. Everything came out at the perfect temperature, was full of flavor, and beautifully presented with great portion sizes. The drinks were strong and delicious, I was definitely feeling it after just two.
The DJ kept the energy up all night, but the real highlight was the saxophonist. Truly breathtaking and so talented, it took the whole experience to another level.
The chicken was heated it the calamari was re-heated The silverware was very foggy and didnât look clean. I asked for some hot water to clean the utensils, but was given plastic forks and spoons. Most of the food was reheated and look like frozen food that looked leftovers. This restaurant needs to start serving fresh food. I donât think I will ever visit again Or recommend anyone to come for the food
Great drinks, even better food. They need to bag those suya chips and sell them. Greginald was beyond amazing. I already planned on going to Lagos for my birthday but Native may be the spot. The bouncer Decided, with all 23 years of his life experience that I was not worthy of entering the space. He suggested that I had talked to him, which did not happen, and told me that I was not allowed entrance. Iâve been to the establishment multiple times before with no issues. Strictly based on the fact that his management supported the nonsense of the bouncer and security at the door, I will never visit again. Sad, because Iâve been in the establishment 78 times before with good food and good experiences. But impressions are lasting. Very disappointing that the management chose to not ask questions, but to Standby the word of a bouncer who Decided that he didnât want to be respectful to a patron. Very disappointing.
I was really impressed with Native Harlem from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was excellent, and everything felt top quality. You can tell they care about the customer experience and pay attention to the details. Definitely a spot worth visiting, and Iâll be coming back again. Highly recommend!
