I don't usually go to the hyped up restaurants but I indulged my friend this one time since I love Mediterranean food. We sat in the backyard patio which is really not at all a backyard; it's basically an extension of inside with more natural light, it's fully covered. We had to flag down a server to get our order in, which is weird because they refilled our water bottle about seven times during our stay so I don't understand the disconnect between the two. We got our food before we got our cocktails, which is odd, but fine. The mezcal cocktail was okay, nothing special but mezcal is so strong of a flavor it's really hard to mess up. (We unfortunately didn't have time to try another round of cocktails just because the first ones took so long to arrive.) Food wise, the babaghanoush was a miss, but it was the first thing brought to our table: overly pureed to the consistency of babyfood, couldnt taste the eggplant, couldn't taste the smokiness that it's known for either, it was basically just an indescript brown spread. The halloumi skewer was phenomenal though. The stracciatella toast was good but lacked cohesion... It was a mess to try to eat and the asparagus seemed so out of place, a roasted marinated tomato would have brought it together much better. The sourdough was very good though and luckily quite thick bc it got super soggy by the time we got to eating the last slice. Would not recommend this spot. The area is oversaturated with restaurants and this isn't one where the service or offerings warrant spending the $$$.
Make a reservation to get in to this Mediterranean cafe it is small and patch’s big punch the food is very tasty started with the whipped ricotta and lamb Shawarma not delicious the we shared the neck chicken and falafel the chicken was so tender and moist the falafel was crisp on the outside soft on the inside
Service and atmosphere at Miss Ada can be mixed, but you tolerate it because the food is so damn good.
The restaurant is loud as hell, cramped, or you can sit in the back patio where it’s sweltering in the summer or freezing in the winter. When it rains, you may get dripped on.
Go with expectations that you may wait to get seated, and it won’t be a chill quiet dining atmosphere. The food will come super quickly and it will be amazing. No dish I’ve tried has ever been a miss.
