Had a Vauxhall Crossland that broke down and struggled to get someone to look at it. The Mechanic at Merlin spent time to check it on diagnostics and thought it was the anti knock sensors.. he knew a lot about the type of engine and potential problems with it.... and he took no money for the check - you can't ask for more!. In the end the extended warranty company required me to use a main dealer to confirm the problem and repair. It was the anti knock sensors and also cylinder damage. Many thanks to Merlin for fitting me in, not charging and diagnosing correctly...

Been here twice now, always great service. Was given a quote for fix but was pleasantly surprised on pickup of the car as they found a cheaper part so saved me some money! They were also the only garage to fix an issue I had with TPS monitors after many tried and failed. Highly recommend!

I only use Merlin for MoT tests, I can’t think of many that test class 1 to 7 around here. I use them for bikes mainly of which there are even less test stations to pick from. Good that the new owner retained Roy to carry out tests, he’s got to be one of the most experienced testers in the area with length of service and classes tested, I’m more than happy to pay £40 to get half an hour or so of his time, carrying out the annual inspection's of my vehicles. He’s firm but fair as ever, I hope he carries on testing for a few more years.
