My doctor prescribed a cervical neck device for me and I ordered the equipment from The Medcom Group in December 2025. Instead of billing my insurance for the full amount, they billed it as a rent to own device that was billed over months. I ended up losing my insurance, and am now on the hook for the full amount of the device months later. Absolutely disgusting business practices. They refuse to accept any accountability. BEWARE.
Besides being charged an outrageous markup ($200 when the same thing could be purchased for $19 at a retailer) for a sling we were given at the ER, when I paid online, they charged more than a 3% fee on the transaction and there was absolutely no mention of any fees associated with a credit card on the bill or payment portal. Didn't find out about the fee until my card was processed.

Pricing for durable medical equipment isn’t set by medcom. Insurance carriers determine the “usual and customary” amounts we’re required to bill that price. It can differ significantly from retail pricing for similar-looking items. This reflects medical-grade equipment and the insurance and clinical coordination involved in your care.

I was in need of a CPM machine for an upcoming knee surgery. I called a few companies and the customer service was poor. I then called Medcom and spoke to Madison. She was outstanding to work with and the reason I chose this company. My machine arrived ready to go thanks to Roger that made sure the machine arrived on time and in perfect working condition. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs excellent quality and service.

Not entirely impressed with the Medcom Group. There was some confusion as to the billing between Medcom and insurance. Had surgery gone perfectly, the CPM rental would have worked out ok; however, the surgery and recovery were slower than expected. Therefore, I had the machine before I needed it and didn't have it near the end, when I needed it. The patient (me) paid the ultimate price. I tried to discuss this with multiple associates of Medcom and they wouldn't deviate unless I paid a high premium out of pocket. This mistake they made by delivering the CPM too early was (in my opinion) a cost of doing business, unfortunately they didn't see it this way and the "tie doesn't go to the customer" given their business model. When I have the need for medical supplies in the future, I will seek a different company.
First off, I would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your recovery took longer than expected, we know that can be hard.
I do want to take a moment to clear up one part of what happened. While your insurance did approve and pay for your CPM rental, they have strict guidelines that they will only allow 21 days. As much as we have tried over the years, they will not pay for more time. The only way to extend the rental in this situations is with that out-of-pocket cost. I know that makes this extra frustrating and we are sorry it added stress during your recovery.
That said, it sounds like we could have done a better job setting expectations about your coverage from the beginning, and we’re sorry for any added stress this caused during your recovery. We will be sure to use this as an example when training to help with our communication in the future.

Medcom rented me a CPM device after a major surgery. Not all heroes wear capes, but Rene deserves a crown. She was so helpful, and I learned so much. In the event I have another invasive surgery, you can bet I'll be calling. 10/10 points, would strongly recommend.

Medcom provided my ice machine for my knee replacement and they were great. From the delivery of the machine to the return, everything went smoothly. When the sleeve developed a leak, they delivered the replacement part directly to my house within 2 hours of me contacting them. The return process was extremely easy as well. Jessica was great to work with. Plus, the NICE ice machine is the easiest machine to use. It is so much nicer than the old ma Hines which require you to refill with actual ice. I highly recommend the machine and the company.

We needed a knee CPM for surgical recovery and Madison walked us through the process with such patience and willingness to go above and beyond to help us. I had difficulty getting our insurance approval for the machine and Madison jumped right in to get the right people talking to each other and had it corrected quickly. (I would also like to say a huge thank you to whichever staff member took over that insurance debacle. I don’t know their name(s), but I am so grateful.) Please thank Madison again for us. You are very fortunate to have such a kind and dedicated employee on your team.
We rented the NICE1 Cold + Compression Therapy System from Medcom Group to aid my wife in her recovery from knee replacement surgery two weeks ago. Simply put, it has been a positive, amazing experience! The combination of cold (delivered at a constant temperature) with compression brought her instant relief from the pain of surgery. It has kept swelling down to a bare minimum thus speeding her recovery and making her home PT session more effective. She loves the machine and uses it regularly throughout the day. As a result, she was able to reduce and then eliminate the need for stronger opioid based pain meds. According to her PT, her range of motion is already well ahead of typical patients.
The equipment arrived on time and was simple to set up and operate. David H., our Medcom sales rep, stayed in touch with us throughout the delivery making sure it arrived when promised. He genuinely cared about our entire rental experience. The NICE1 was waiting for my wife when she arrived home from the hospital and she had her knee wrapped within minutes. In her words - instant relief! She can't imagine going through the last couple of weeks without it and we've extend the rental for another week to maintain her progress. If you are having any joint replacement surgery we highly recommend using the Medcom Group to rent the NICE1 equipment. They make the entire process easy and painless!
Our total experience with the medcom group as been exceptional. The medical item we utilized (Nice Cold/Compression System) has worked flawlessly and provided superior relief in the patient's complete knee replacement recovery. However, what was most extraordinary was the service provided by David Harrington of the medcom group. From expertly answering all of our initial questions to sending a replacement unit overnight due to a faulty power supply, David's performance and genuine care and concern for our total satisfaction has been amazing. Unfortunately I’ve needed a NICE machine from Medcom twice now for separate knee surgeries. Rene and Tatianna helped me get setup both times and made the process really easy.
Tatianna delivered my machine and picked it up from my home. It was easy to extend my rental period too.
Their pricing is transparent and very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised my rental cost me the same this year as two years ago.
I definitely recommend the NICE machine. Not having to worry about refilling ice when you’re on crutches is a game changer.
Overall a great company that is easy to deal with.

Brought medical equipments from other companies previously, never had to sign a waiver. However, bought cervical traction device from Medcom Group, this company will submit claims as rental instead of a purchase claim. Additionally, 1. Medcom Group requires you to sign a waiver - Medcom Group knew ahead that the device does not cover by insurance. Then they blamed the insurance company, said it's the insurance company that makes Medcom Group to submit multiple rental claims. It is Medcom Group that purposely submits multiple Rental claims instead because found out insurance company online that Medcom Group submitted 5 separate rental claims. 2. The claim code used to submit to insurance company - Medcom Group knew ahead that the code insurance company does not cover and instead another similar equipment claim code will cover. Medcom Group hides the information and did not disclose the similar equipment to me. 3. Medcom Group charges same equipment for purchase more expensive than other medical equipment companies - check and compare yourself.
