Great day at sea with my family! Both wife and children enjoyed the combined trip giving us both delicious fish for the barbecue and the excitement for getting a marlin on. Nice and competent captain and crew.

Trip of a Lifetime! Madeira Fishing Charters gave us the trip of a lifetime, and we brought in a 650lb Blue Marlin! I HIGHLY suggest you book them for your fishing trip in Madeira. The boat, “Prime”, was in excellent condition and had plenty of space, a bathroom, and an eating area. We also had a nice lunch and plenty of drinks available. Captain Anders was great! He was very knowledgeable about the area, and was working hard to move us to different spots to try to find the fish. Our morning bottom fishing didn’t bring in much, but it wasn’t because of a lack of effort that’s for sure. Our group was mostly beginners, and Anders was very accommodating and patient with us. We had great conversation and and definitely benefited from his expertise. Claudio was our crew member and he was AWESOME! Claudio has decades of experience on the water and it showed, especially in the high stress time of bringing in the Marlin. He knew exactly what to do, and what not to do, and helped us bring in our Marlin in just 45 minutes! Claudio had great conversation as well, he was very accommodating and always trying to help out where he could. He was very organized and had everything ready to go ahead of time. We caught the Marlin at the end of the trip and would’ve been totally satisfied with calling it a day, but Claudio and Anders threw the lines back in all the way back to the dock! They truly have as much fun as you do on the trip, and it doesn’t even seem like it’s “work” to them. Awesome guys, great boat, and world class experience. THANK YOU GUYS!!!! -Bill, Mike, Steve

Unforgettable Fishing with Madeira Fishing Charter! We recently had the privilege of embarking on a fishing adventure with Madeira Fishing Charter, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, this experience was a dream come true for any fishing enthusiast. The crew was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the trip smooth and exciting from start to finish. The highlight of our trip was the moment we hooked a magnificent blue marlin. The adrenaline rush of battling this incredible fish was indescribable. The crew’s expertise and guidance were invaluable as we worked together to catch and release this majestic creature. Witnessing the blue marlin swim away after the catch was a profound and thrilling experience, one that will forever be etched in our memory. Seeing the marlin swim away was a moment of pure joy and respect for nature.

Outstanding! Captain Anders and first mate, Claudio, made our day beyond our wildest dreams. We selected the combo tour with bottom fishing and sport fishing. We caught several fish which Captain Anders arranged a local restaurant to cook for us for dinner. After bottom fishing, Ken caught his first Marlin and it took over 3 hours to reel in. Captain Anders and Claudio went above and beyond to make this happen. Doesn’t get much better than this. We highly recommend this tour and team. Great team, great service, delicious food. They went above and beyond to make our day over the top special.

We had great Bottom Fishing experience with Captain Mike. We caught several different fish, making it an unforgettable ocean fishing trip. We used shrimp as bait. The captain was cheerful, friendly, and very helpful with the fishing. The yacht was spacious and comfortable. We were extremely happy. It's a very interesting experience and quite different from lake fishing. I highly recommend this type of fishing for both beginners and enthusiasts. Our trip lasted from 9 AM to 1 PM. We'll be back! We had a fantastic bottom fishing with Captain Mike (Gavito boat): We had an amazing time with Captain Mike! He was polite, fun, and incredibly experienced. He guided us through fishing techniques and provided excellent support throughout. It felt like more than just a fishing trip, but rather an adventure at sea. The fish we caught cooked up wonderfully on the beach, and their restaurant recommendation was spot on. Highly recommend!

A once in a lifetime experience, catching a 480 lb Blue Marlin! The very first Blue Marlin cought this year. Captain Mike and his crew were great, put me on the Marlin with a successful catch and release!

The fishing experience we had with Captain Anders was a wonderful one, far beyond what we imagined. We approached fishing as an activity for the whole family, but everything can happen when you get in the boat with 5 small children who get bored before they start fishing. But Captain Anders took us to special places, managed to have fun and stay safe. We caught a lot of fish and the children were delighted.I highly recommend Madeira Fishing Charters.

We had an amazing day with Capt. Mike and deckhand Afonso on the gavito, they were very organized and super friendly. Went to hopefully catch a big tuna and sure enough they made it happen with a 185 pound big eye tuna. Very satisfied and highly recommend them for a charter.

We had a fantastic half day trip with Captain Mike and first mate Claudio. They organized a mixed trip of bottom and troll fishing for our family of 4. The kids (11 & 13) loved the bottom fishing and were thrilled that we caught enough for lunch, which was cooked for us by Leme Marisqueira restaurant right on the dock thanks to the help and organization of Captain Mike. It was lovely day out with some truly experienced fisherman. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, fishing and experience!

Great boat and Super Captain and Crew. My sons and i had a blast and were successful in catching a 130LB Tuna.

Super trip eventhought we did catch only a Bonito, but the crew was super nice and helpfull! I’ll come again for sure!

Capt. David took three fishers and two guests out for fishing morning (09-14) last week, and we all caught fish. We happened to have lovely weather and lucky with fish Gods (Dentex and Red snappers). Good gear and professional staff. Totally recommend his services. Fabulous day!

We would have given this operation 6 stars if that was possible. We were due to fish with Captain Anders in May 2023 but had to cancel at very short notice. Despite this we were offered vouchers to use at a later date. We think that this is extremely generous. We eventually did manage to travel to Madeira in October 2023 and spent 2.5 days trolling for Wahoo and tuna with captains Anders Ekstrand and Mike Vowell aboard the Prime. We had a fantastic time with our son catching two nice Wahoo. The great company, home cooked food and comfortable, modern boat made this a truly fantastic experience. Many thanks for everything. Capt Anders and Mike run a very professional boat which is clean and very well equipped. Both are friendly and very helpful to novices like me. We were given a safety briefing and shown around the boat. We will definitely use them again when we return to Madeira.
