Perfect organization Our trip to Egypt was perfect thanks to Luxor and Aswan Travel. Since the first contact, Hany El Desouki (reservation manager), helped us to configure our trip with great patience and quick and accurate answers. He helped us to choose the Nile cruise and he managed everything in a very quick and professional way. Perfect. Once we were in Luxor, Yasser, our Egyptologist guide, guided us into ancient and present Egypt with his huge knowledge of the theme in a very fun and deep way. He is always looking forward to the traveller's needs and wants and he adapts everyday trips to get the best experience. The driver's team and the quality of the vehicles provided by the travel agency were perfect as well. New and clean high standard vehicles with experienced and safe drivers. The cruise itinerary is stunning and all the top sites on the Nile are included. We could see many differences between our trip and many other traveller's trip in terms of quality and time spent on the visits. We saw tourists groups forced to visit and visit stores meanwhile we were visiting temples, tombs, viewpoints... Yasser helped us to find a few real good-quality stores that we asked for. Only the stores chosen by us. For animal respect reasons, we asked to avoid horse-drawn carriages or camel rides and it wasn't a problem for them. They changed the carriages transfers quickly into a car without any problem. I strongly recommend choosing Luxor and Aswan Travel.

Fabulous visit to Cairo and Cruise on the Nile Overall this was a great experience. I gave it 4 stars because it started out a little rough. We were told someone would meet our flight and help us get a visa, but that didn't happen until after we contacted the agency. FYI when you arrive in Cairo there are no signs telling you where to get a visa on arrival. We waited in line at immigration and then were informed we needed to go to to one of the bank windows to get the visa. After waiting in line at a bank we were informed that only cash was accepted at that window. Another tourist pointed us to a line were credit cards were accepted. While we were waiting in line for the agent from Luxor and Aswan travel arrived and took care of the visa and took us out to meet our guide. The agency bought us lunch as compensation for the problems. Once we met our guide Mohamed El Sarawy everything was smooth sailing. Mohamed was an excellent guide. He was patient and punctual and provided advice on which sites we should focus on. After we arrived we visited Coptic Cairo where we visited the hanging church. We were unable to visit the Ben Ezra synagogue because it's closed for renovation. Day 2 we spent visiting the pyramids in Sakarra followed by a trip to Giza to see the great pyramid and Sphinx. Day three we spent in the Eqyptian museum followed by a trip to the citadel of Salah El-Din and the Khan El Kahlil market. On Day 4 we flew to Aswan where we met our next superb guide Shenouda Farid Habib. After arrival we visited the damn, the temple of Philae and the unfinished obelisk. We then boarded our boat the MS Amwaj Living Stone. The boat was lovely and the food was excellent. The next day we visited the temple of Kom Ombu. After sailing to Edfu we took a horse drawn carriage to visit the temple of Horus. That evening we took a boat up the Nile to visit a Nubian village. The boat and trip reminded me of the Disneyland jungle cruise. The boat was very similar and the scenery was gorgeous. I keep expecting hippos to pop out at any moment. The crew of the boat serenaded us during part of the cruise. The Nubian village was very colorful and the architecture reminded me a bit of the adobe building in New Mexico where I am from. The following day we visited the valley of the kings, the temple of Queen Hatsheput and the temple of Karnak. Early the next morning we took our guide Shenouda's advice and saw the sun rise over the Nile from a hot air balloon. We had to get up at 3:30 in the morning to get the balloon, but it was worth. It was a wonderful experience to be in one of the many multi colored balloons rising into the dawn sky. It was unforgettable. After returning to the ship we checked out and the headed for the Temple of Luxor. After the visit to the temple Shenouda took us for coffee in one of his favorite coffee houses in Luxor. After that we caught our flight back. All in all it was a fabulous experience. I can't say enough about our wonderful guides Mohamed and Shenouda.

Ancient Egypt Package. Myself and my partner had a great time on our trip to Egypt with Luxor and Aswan Travel. We had a 3 night 5 star Nile Cruise followed by 3 nights luxury hotel in Cairo. With a full ancient Egypt tour itinerary. We were met at the airport on arrival and looked after by the travel agents the entire trip. There were no problems and everything was organised well. We went on a 7 day Nil Cruise with many temples and tours included. You can pick the boat you want to travel with- my girlfriend and me chose the Ms Le Fayan, the service and stuff is excellent.
The waiter Ahmed and his Manager are highly attentive and even organized gluten free bread for us.
Our private tour guide is called George Edward, he speaks perfect English, is very well educated and an honest, friendly and brilliant tour guide. He doesn’t just read hieroglyphs but teaches you how to read them yourself. It is truly his passion to visit the temples and show you the best picture spots, while reading ancient symbols and telling you the story behind. He took great pictures of us.

The company organized all tours, some are extra costs but the service is worth going for it. George organized
- AC Cars with drivers without waiting in the heat
- Private boat ride to island and botanical gardens (other groups were 25+ people on board)
- drop off and pick up in front of the temples
- cold water, juices, snacks
- affordable essential oil and Parfum shops
- secret spices shop
- flexible starting time in the morning

- picked the best tombs in The Valley of the kings (he has seen them all)

Leave it to Luxor and Aswan! My husband and I traveled through Egypt for sixteen days via Luxor and Aswan Travel. It was a private tour with drivers and Egyptologist guides at different locations. We reviewed the company's standard itineraries, made a few changes based on what we did or did not want to see, then got a price quote from Hany El-Dosouki. The trip was fabulous! Everything went smoothly and having a driver and guide made it so easy to be able to see more of Egypt than if we had tried to put together the various tours ourselves. Hany responded quickly before the trip, then checked in periodically to make sure that we were happy. A driver that we had several times, Alaa, was an excellent driver in the melee that is Egyptian traffic and we had fun with him. He drove an 8 hour each way trip to Siwa and his music helped pass the time. Our guide for that portion was Mohammed Anwer, an excellent, knowledgeable guide, as well as a lot of fun, too. We had two other drivers, for shorter distances, both of whom were excellent drivers. Michael Farah was our guide for Luxor and Aswan, including the Nile cruise. He is exceptional, and there was no question that he could not answer. Zuzu, a woman, was our guide for the last portion of old Cairo. She is a big booster for women in Egypt and Egypt in general. She was pretty intense, but very knowledgeable. All of the accommodations were very nice (more luxurious than we've ever had!), with the exception of the hotel at Siwa. It was a bit more of a guesthouse, being in a rural area. While the staff was nice, the room was freezing cold and other guests at the hotel noisy until late at night. In Luxor and Aswan's defense, they had not used this hotel previously, and our guide did his best to get the hotel staff to get the other guests be quiet. However, the majority of rooms was booked by a large group that they allowed to be noisy. At least we didn't have to drive the next day! We really enjoyed the tranquility of the Nile cruise on the "Concerto," although the food was kind of bland.

Highly Recommend If you plan to visit Egypt, I highly recommend you contact Hany at Luxor and Aswan Travel. He was thorough and quick to respond to any question I had about booking a Nile cruise and extra tours. My husband and I enjoyed the cruise but what really made the trip wonderful was our private tour guide, Michael and our skilled driver, Mohamed. Michael's in-depth knowledge was impressive. He made a point to understand our interests in ancient Egypt and local culture. It felt like we had a personal team who took care of us: making sure we saw the highlights of Luxor from the local market to the ancient ruins of Karnak. We hope to return to Egypt and plan to use Luxor and Aswan travel when booking our next adventure.

Wonderful trip Luxor and Aswan provided a wonderful trip to Egypt. Our private tour guide was Shimma and she was fantastic. She far exceeded any expectations I had. I generally have a short attention span, but her descriptions of the sites we visited were very interesting. She tells an interesting story, rather than a set of facts. We were catered to by Shimma and our van driver the whole trip. Our family had a wonderful time.
