Amazing food and service! The nachos are a 10/10!! The guac is not the best but I’d still recommend everything on the menu! The buffalo cauliflower is great just needs to be more crispy, and the empanadas are a bit doughy. Other than that great place for a quick bite!
The ambience and aesthetic inside create an environment that aligns with the cuisine. The space is open, colorful, with plenty of seating options. They offer bar seating, table seating, and high tops. It’s spacious enough that it doesn’t feel cramped, which I appreciated.
Their menu is large with a ton of options to choose from, which is great, but I did find the pricing to be on the higher side. I ordered a veggie burrito listed at $13.50, but after adding mushrooms, the total jumped to $18.00. That felt a bit excessive for a simple add-on. Even sides feel pricey. Fries running around $9 is a bit excessive if you want to round out your meal without overspending.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I went on a Monday night, and it was pretty quiet, making it a great spot if you’re looking for a relaxed place to conversate and dine during the week. I’m not sure how crowded it gets on weekends, but for a weekday visit, it’s ideal.

But let's talk about the food—it's phenomenal. Everything tastes incredibly fresh. The tacos are the stars of the show; whether you go for the classic Carne Asada or one of their inventive specials, the ingredients are high quality and packed with authentic flavor. Their fresh guacamole is a must-order, and the Margaritas are perfectly balanced and dangerously delicious.
Service is always quick, friendly, and attentive, even when the place is packed (which it often is, because it's that good!). They make you feel welcome and ensure your food comes out hot and fast.
I’ve ordered from Lucharitos in Melville several times now, both dine-in and through Uber Eats, and I have mixed feelings overall. To start with the positives — the service is always great. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and attentive, and the restaurant itself has a fun, colorful atmosphere that makes it a great spot for casual dining or drinks with friends. They also offer really good deals on Uber Eats, which makes it an easy and affordable option for takeout or delivery nights.
That said, the food has been hit or miss for me. Some items are really tasty and well-seasoned, while others fall surprisingly flat. On my most recent visit, I tried the nachos, and they were unfortunately very bland — not much flavor, and not the kind of bold, zesty taste you’d expect from a place with such a fun vibe. I’ve tried a few different menu items over multiple visits, hoping for more consistency, but it’s been a little unpredictable. When it’s good, it’s great — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying — but other times, it feels like something’s missing.
That being said, I do appreciate that they’re local, reliable, and always pleasant to interact with. The food portions are generous, the prices are fair, and I’ll likely continue giving them another chance because the potential is definitely there. If they can find more consistency in seasoning and flavor, Lucharitos Melville could easily become one of the best casual spots in the area. 🌮✨

Foood was basic. Not bad but not authentic. The did make good size tacos. Music was blasting on a week day. Couldn’t hear each other at the table. The waitress with the black hair was the worst. Came in and she did not look happy to be there. Then gave us a small table and we asked for more room and she told us we could slide a table over with an attitude. She could have helped move a table over since she was the server. ALS did not give us silverware. Was not friendly at all. Other workers were nice. Would not return.

Food was not good at all. Bland..nachos were cold, guacamole did not taste fresh. Whole time was thinking could it actually be this bad every time or did we come at an off night. Only thing good were the drinks, service and ambiance. Come here for drinks and ambiance- go eat somewhere else. 2 stars only for drinks, service and ambiance.
“The food I ordered wasn’t as seasoned for my personal taste, but great presentation. Nachos came out cold, told my sever and she happily brought out a new order. Guac seemed off, told the server and she subbed that out too! Whole time i was thinking wow, great service to accommodate me! Drinks, service and ambiance were great! Going to come back and try some different menu items and give the food a second try! Can’t wait!”

The food was great honestly from the steak nachos to the 🌮 it was amazing!! The waitress wasn't the best and trust me look at my reviews I don't ever say that but in this case it's that bad however the atmosphere was great and the drinks were hitting the spot so overall great place and I'd recommend trying it!
I've been here for lunch a few times. Their tacos are very good. I've tried the Carne Asada Taco and the Coconut Shrimp Taco. I will come back to try their drinks after work one day
