Terrible communication. When you are dealing with one of your biggest assets and wondering what’s going on on a day to day basis can be frustrating. You call th LO no answer, email no response text nothing. To make things worse is the tracking devise they have for the loan is never up to date. Horrible experience. Go to your credit union

WORST LENDER IN USA
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LENDERS, UNLESS YOU LIKE THE KNIGHTMARES. I SPENT 6 MONTH WAIRING FOR A LOAN MODIFICATION TO BE FINALISED. EACH REPRESENTATIVE CALL AND SAY DIFFERENT STATEMENT. THEY SENT ME A DOCUMENT TO SIGN WHILE THEY CALL NEXT DAY TO SAY SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH A DIFFERENT MONTHLY PAYMENT AMOUNT. THEN ONE MONTH LATER, THEY SAY SORRY WE FORGOT TO ADD ESCROW AMOUNT, SO WE HAVE TO MAKE A LOAN MODIFICATION AGAIN, AMD DURING THAT TIME YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY. AFTER 2ND AMENDMENT ON LOAN MODIFICATION DUE TO THEIR MISTAKES WHICH TOKE ANOTHER 3 MONTHS. THEY CALLED & SAID YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE LAST 3 MONTHS PAST DUE AMOUNTS. TOLD THEM THAT YOU TOLD ME NOT TO PAY ANYTHING TILL WE FINALIZE EVERYTHING.... THEY MADE MY LIFE A DISASTER & VERY STRESSFUL. PLEASE, DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.

I've had a loan with LoanDepot for just under 4 years. I've never been late with a payment until last month, where my payment was 2 days late. They have charged $48 in late fees and have refused to waive them, even though this is the first late payment. This has not been my experience with other lenders.

Zeena ** and Stephanie ** were the people I was stuck with during this process. Back in the late Spring I had applied for a home equity loan for about .05% of my net worth. I was immediately pushed into some FHA loan that I now find out was to make them more fees. I had to pay for an application. Then I had to pay for three separate inspections. When all of that was said and done, they dragged their feet for so long that the purpose of my loan was over, PLUS they had check my credit score multiple times and lowered it by over 150 points. I had to get my attorney involved to get my first fees returned, and now we are going to small claims court in January to get the other $1400 in fake fees returned. Don't do it. Use a legitimate lender.

Prepare for the "bait and switch"!!! I should have applied with more than one lender to see my options in the beginning. I would have gone with another company for sure! By the time I started becoming aware that Loan Depot was changing the terms of my financing, I was running out of time to get a home project done. They are NOT transparent with fees, qualifying, and funding. They made me roll a zero interest small loan into their high interest loan so I would "qualify"... after telling me it would be no problem. Then they changed the amount of the loan. And those are just a couple of the issues. Now I'm stuck.

If you're interested in obtaining a loan it is best to go with a company that covers the appraisal cost. Don't allow their fast talking agents to convince you to pay $500 only to be turned down. Avoid.

They were good in the beginning but they wasted my time and locked up my HELOC for over a month and a half because they didn't do their full job and made sure that my property qualify to their own criteria. And this is after I had many other loan companies contacting me to offer a loan. I would not recommend this loan institution at all.

Deceived!!
Took my money for the inspection and told me I was approved and then denied me after weeks of work n waiting and now im fighting to get back my money for an inspection that never happened!!! Horrible and deceiving

When I applied for a refinance they assured me that they would be no escrow required. I live in Texas and there is no escrow required on a non-governmental loan. But they tacked on escrow for taxes and insurance so that my 545 dollar monthly payment ballooned to 1406 monthly payment. I am disabled and on a fixed income and can no longer afford my mortgage. When I asked repeatedly for them to remove the escrow, they gave me some nonsense about my loan being a higher priced mortgage loan and that escrow was required for 5 years. I am currently refinancing with Rocket mortgage with no escrow. Loan Depot has been making interest off my escrowed taxes and insurance for 3 years now. Stay away from them at all costs.

Talk to them, it's worth it!
So this company was pretty much seamless! And I had excellent loan officers. And they offered better interest rates and terms then any other lender offered. If not for them, I probably wouldn't have done a home equity loan period.

If you want to deal with entitlement, unprofessionalism, and to be harassed? I strongly recommend this company to you. Not only was Dominic mostly petulant in most of my dealing with him. He had once called my real estate agent and cursed him out because we hadn't got back with him accepting his company's loan offer. I obviously went with another vendor for my financing needs. 9/15/24 is date I sent a reply to one of his many text telling him not to contact me again.

totally devistation
When i called them I was in need my score was good enough to get the loan but they took forever to complete I went a week at a time not hearing a word from them by the time they finally got around to it I had 1 late payment and they denied me now my credit score dropped and im screwed. Wish I had gone with someone else.
