I’ve really enjoyed 1:1 tutorials with Carlos. He is a great tutor and has helped me with my Portuguese. The program I had was tailored to meet my needs and what I wanted to learn for everyday conversation in Portuguese and when I visit Portugal on holiday. Carlos provided a lot of good resources, was prepared and always very patient when learning. He was also very flexible with times that suited me. I’d definitely recommend Carlos to help you with learning Portuguese.

Carlos is an excellent teacher. I love the practical nature of his lessons, his flexibility and his patience. After my first trip to Portugal, I decided I wanted to learn Portuguese. I took classes with him and had an entirely different experience on my second visit. I could greet people appropriately, order in restaurants, and most importantly I made new friends as I had become brave enough under his tutelage to initiate exchanges. I learned a lot of vocabulary and idioms in addition to getting a much better feel for pronunciation. I also learned a lot about Portuguese history and culture in our conversations and in some of the exercises. I look forward to the lessons, they are fun as well as instructive. I highly recommend working with Carlos and /or using his teaching materials if you’d like to become comfortable speaking and reading this lovely language.

We are so glad that Carlos was our Portuguese tutor when we first moved to Portugal. His lessons gave my husband and I an excellent foundation for this challenging language. We took one-on-one classes which were informative and educational, conversational and fun. He is a patient and kind teacher who was able to adapt his methods for the two of us as we both grasp languages differently. We learned so much from him and have access to a large amount of resource materials. Now that he is offering new online courses, we look forward to improving our Portuguese even more. Muito obrigada!

Attentive and patient are two words that come to mine when I think of Carlos. When I moved to Lisbon he was instrumental in helping me get a solid foundation in the Portuguese language. To this day I'm still complimented on how natural my accent sounds when speaking Portuguese. I found him to be very flexible in catering to the needs of his students. I would definitely recommend him!

After watching numerous YouTube videos and checking other learning websites, I decided on enrolling with Lets Learn Portuguese by Carlos Felipe Jesus. Carlos does start you with basics like alphabets, vocabulary, and then verb conjugations but with sprinkling of conversational phrases so you can start your social learning with the language right away. I highly recommend his course.

I have been doing 1:1 online Portugese lessons with Carlos for almost 2 years and I can highly recommend him.
He is a very patient, knowledgeable and flexible language teacher. He adapts very well to the students needs (be it more grammar, exercises or talking). His kind and calm attitude helps to build confidence in the own language skills.
A unique aspect is that he has built his own online platform with lots of material. That makes it possible to learn any kind of topic in his lessons.
i enjoy learning with Carlos a lot ; it’s always fun and helped me a lot to improve my fluency and vocabulary in Portuguese. Highly recommend to work with him !!
