Not a good recommendation from me!!!My experience has been unsettling with Ben. Started good but then went down hill. I had three cases, the first two I was convinced to settle, my third case was a botch and my son’s case of his divorce was a complete mess up. Ben failed on so many levels with custody to parent time and financial. I thought at first Ben was on my side but now I have come to realize that he is a mediator at best. Looking at my first two cases, that’s exactly what he pushed me to do. My son’s case has made me realize that. Ben really screwed up!!!!
Extremely disappointing experience with Kaufman, Nichols, & Kaufman, PLLC. After paying a substantial amount for legal representation, expected professionalism, organization, and consistent advocacy. Unfortunately, that standard was not met.
There were serious issues with case management, including confusion around court dates that should never happen at this level. Communication was inconsistent, and when concerns were raised, accountability was lacking.
Most concerning was the absence of strong representation during critical moments. Given the financial investment and the importance of the matter—especially involving parental rights—the level of service fell far below expectations.
Would advise others to thoroughly vet their options and ask detailed questions about communication, case oversight, and who is actually handling your case before committing to this firm.
I used Ben Larsen who fully misrepresented me and was so lazy to do my trial for my divorce hearing, costing me my kids even more time and money. Ben and his firm are the worst aspects of attorneys you could think of and use. If you want to lose you case and kids then gladly use them. It has been now 3 years cost me another 50K and 500k other equities. Completely insane if you want to really lose your case then hire this firm.
I sent my website for a consult/feedback. Dave sent a thorough and personalized document with details on how I can fix my website. I LOVE the advise. I plan on applying the info and very likely to try out their services as this company seems they truly care about your personal business success as well as honesty. They consider what best serves the customers and business. Thank you for reviewing my website, I look forward to seeing the impact from the suggested changes!
I was dealing with a difficult post divorce case for 17 years to no avail. Then I was referred to Tyson Stokes and Stephen Leech who were absolutely wonderful to work with. It took hard work and didnt happen overnight. Tyson with his exceptional skill and expertise got me the assets I had been court ordered to receive and they have been life changing for me. I am ecstatic with the results of my case. I will be forever grateful to Tyson and Stephen.

There are good attorneys. There are great attorneys. And then, somewhere far above them all, there is Dylan.
When I first came to him, my life situation was completely upside down. This was a custody case in Utah, which anyone familiar with family court knows can be one of the hardest battles a father can face. For nearly nine years, things had gone the wrong direction and it felt like the system had already written the ending. Then Dylan stepped into the picture with the calm confidence of someone who has clearly stared into legal chaos before and decided it was not that impressive.
He studied every detail of the case, prepared relentlessly, and moved through the process with the kind of focus that makes you think there might be something supernatural going on behind the scenes.
What happened next still feels like something out of a legend.
Through Dylan’s work, my entire situation reversed. In one decisive legal victory, he helped right nearly nine years of wrongs. I walked into the process feeling defeated and walked out feeling like someone had hit the reset button on my life.
If the legal profession had its own mythology, Dylan would already be in it. Part guardian angel, part master strategist, part mythical champion of justice. The kind of person who walks into a courtroom looking like a regular human attorney but secretly has wings folded under his suit jacket and a flaming sword of legal brilliance hidden in his briefcase.
While some attorneys argue cases, Dylan goes to battle for people.
My children, my girlfriend, and I will forever be grateful for the impact Dylan has had on our lives. What he helped accomplish changed the entire direction of our future. Generations from now, my grandchildren and great-grandchildren will hear the story of the moment everything changed, and somewhere in that story there will be a slightly unbelievable character known only as the legendary Dylan.
If you ever find yourself in a situation where everything feels stacked against you and you need someone in your corner who will fight with intelligence, courage, and a level of preparation that borders on heroic, Dylan is the attorney you want.
Five stars feels wildly insufficient, but Google will not let me give him the full constellation he deserves. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I hired Ben Larsen to represent me with my custody case. I trusted Ben with something very scary! He stood by my side the entire way. He eased my emotions. He had EMPATHY!!! When it was time to fight, he fought HARD and we WON! He never misled me, he listened and he made me feel safe. I will forever appreciate Ben and I’ll forever recommend Ben! I can’t say enough great things. He’s worth the price. That’s for sure. Thank you to Julie aswell! She was also very helpful and would answer my questions quickly! I appreciate you both so much!
I finalized a divorce today that dragged on for more than three years, and I felt compelled to write this review immediately. This has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life—and that’s coming from someone with 20 years of military service. Through it all, Dylon Benson of Kaufman, Nichols, and Kaufman was exceptional. He supported me at every turn, went above and beyond, and consistently laid out my options with honesty and awareness of my current financial and legal situations at every step of my case. I can say with complete confidence that no other attorney would have shown the same dedication. Thanks to Dylon’s hard work, I received a fantastic ruling in my favor. If you want a lawyer who will truly fight for you, look no further! Dylan, I sincerely thank you!
I am extremely satisfied with Alex. From the beginning he looked at all the evidence and went through all the possible options and outcomes before advising me. He was spot on with his advise. His fees were reasonable and did not nickle and dime me. He has a fabulous staff and definitely would recommend him.
Dylan Benson has been an incredible advocate. He is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his clients. During a very overwhelming time, he helped me feel supported and protected. I highly recommend him to anyone needing strong, compassionate legal representation. His professionalism, empathy, and dedication mean more than I can put into words. I am so thankful to have him in my corner.
Mr. Alexander Smart and his team did a fantastic job reducing my Class B misdemeanor to an Infraction. l highly recommend Mr. Smart if you need a good attorney. He kept me well informed about my case, responded to all of my emails and texts, explained the ordinances and gave me legal advice and representation resulting in a positive outcome.
I filed a formal complaint on Dylan Benson through the Office of Professional Conduct in Utah. He is a fairly new attorney with only 5 yrs. experience. The first instance of corruption and lack of integrity from this attorney was when he filed a TRO to try to take my children from me to help his client have a financial upper hand through the divorce process. The TRO was about 99% lies. He was ok about lying to the court I suppose… anything for a win, right? Thankfully, the judge didn’t sign, judge saw through the bs… however still was emotionally traumatizing to me, already being in emotional distress from subsequent personal legal matters. Then, I dealt with this attorney yet again recently and he was dishonest yet again- produced misleading statements, and just outright made false statements. The judge had to correct him multiple times. He was sloppy. I will appeal this decision but I feel the most important thing weighing on my mind is this attorney’s lack of professional conduct. Now I am not versed on legal matters or proceedings, but I know corruption when I see it. I am not afraid of him, and he knows it. I directly called out his corruption in front of the judge. I am just saying this as any other person leaving an honest review of their experience. No one should have to put up with a corrupt or abusive lawyer. You can get the truth out of someone without trying to frame them or self incriminate on something they didn’t do that is say unrelated to current case, all well knowing they have had a traumatic year. When I see corruption, I call it out. I defended myself. He didn’t like that. I am not afraid of him.
