Hello Daljeet, We would like to clarify a few details regarding your visit. You had booked an appointment for this year’s tax filing. During your appointment, you also requested assistance in reviewing your previous years’ tax returns, mentioning concerns about potential errors made by your previous accountant. In an effort to assist you fully, we attempted to obtain authorization to access your CRA account; however, the attempt was unsuccessful. We informed you that we would require copies of your previously filed returns to proceed and kindly requested that you bring those documents and return later the same day. Given that it is peak tax season, we also explained that appointment times can sometimes run longer than scheduled depending on the complexity of each case. While we assured you we would do our best to accommodate you, we advised that there could be additional wait time. When you returned it was during a tight schedule of appointments, with several clients patiently waiting. An elderly couple with disabilities — who had an earlier appointment and had already been waiting for over an hour — was still waiting to be seen. Out of compassion and respect for their situation, we made the decision to prioritize assisting them promptly before taking you in. Our frontdesk kept on apologizing you and still you did not respect that and left. We have CCTV camera evidence that we can share and the clients who are witness. This unfortunately upset you, and you chose to cancel your appointment and leave the office. Please know that our goal has always been to assist all clients fairly and respectfully, while also showing special consideration to those with greater needs. We genuinely regret that this experience did not meet your expectations. If you would like, we would still be happy to welcome you back and schedule a new appointment at your convenience to assist you with both your current and prior years’ filings. Hello Harpreet, It is important to clarify that GST registration was the responsibility of your accountant, not ours, as we did not provide you with accounting services and were not retained to do so. Our role was strictly limited to business registration service for registering your business in Alberta, which were completed based on the information you provided over the phone and via email. You never visited our office in person. For clarity, the information you received about your GST registration is incorrect. A business is only required to register for GST once its total revenue exceeds $30,000 within four consecutive quarters. Additionally, newly registered trucking companies are not required to open a GST account until they surpass this threshold within the same period. Your accountant should have informed you of this requirement when you engaged their services and should have registered your GST account once your revenue exceeded the $30,000 mark. Regarding your concern about losing $5,000 in GST refunds, we would like to clarify that any GST paid or payable can still be claimed in your Input Tax Credit (ITC) return for future periods. This means you have not necessarily lost this amount, as GST credits can be carried forward and claimed appropriately. Our team assists a large number of businesses with registrations each year, including trucking companies, and we take pride in providing accurate information and excellent service to all our clients. Unfortunately, the claims in your review are based on incorrect details, and we respectfully request that you remove it, as it does not accurately reflect the services we provided.
