Amazing gluten free selection
Enjoyed our first visit to Kirk View Cafe and Bistro this afternoon for an anniversary meal. Being coeliac, I am usually limited to a few choices, but this place is amazing. Most of the dishes are gluten free, and they offered to put on a separate gluten free fryer if we chose any options which would be deep fried. Their dessert menu is also entirely gluten free. Best dining experience I have had since being diagnosed and can't believe it's taken me three years to find this place. They have an interesting and varied menu, which also offered plenty of choices for my vegetarian other half. Highly recommend.
Lovely place - tapas were fab!
Met a friend for tea here for tapas - great deal 3 for 2. We had calamari, goats cheese bruschetta, halloumi orange salad, haddock strips and halloumi fries. All lovely however highly recommend the bruschetta in particular it was just amazing!
Great value and great service - would recommend!

Just had fabulous Scottish
Just had fabulous Scottish tapas - would highly recommend - beautiful sauces to go with each tapas. Duck spring rolls packed with tasty duck and the burgers and whiskey sauce are amazing - balmoral chicken and whiskey sauce is gorgeous! Going to try the main menu next time !
SIMPLY THE BEST TAKEAWAY EVER!
We have just finished what can only be described as the best takeaway that we’ve ever had, and this is the second time so it’s definitely not a one off.
Haggis bon-bons, sea bass on a smoked haddock risotto and sticky toffee pudding, all supported by a very nice sangria.
First time we sampled the takeaway was in the last shutdown and was the same main course, with different starters.
So good that we booked for a sit-in as soon as the shutdown ended.
We also had the Christmas dinner from here for the family and everyone loved it.
Can’t wait until the lockdown ends so we can get booked in again....
Do Carlsberg do takeaways?
(Older customers will know what I mean)
Christmas Family Meal
We visited here as a family for a special Christmas treat. We were made to feel very welcome. There food and service were both excellent.
The Clootie Dumpling and the Merlot went down a treat.
We would highly recommmend and will make a return visit in the New Year.
Thank You
Very tasty takeaway Tapas!!
We love Kirk View Bistro so we treated ourselves to home delivery of the Tapas, desert & cocktail offer. Absolutely no complaints about any of the food. Well packaged, great portion sizes and everything was delicious.
Delivery was right on time too!
Highly recommended

Great Tapas Lunch
Went along once we were confirmed as Tier 2 for a Friday lunch during restaurant week. Lunch was 2 tapas + a sweet, we added an extra tapas but to be honset, 4 would have been enough. Simple, fresh and local, with a choice sweets to follow.
Good selection of wines, bottled beers and coffee to finish , well worth a visit.
Delicious afternoon tea
Visited with my hubby on a Sat in September. Not my first Afternoon Tea at Kirk View and I have been trying to go back for ages. There was an Offer on the Afternoon tea this particular week. Everything was delicious - I love their Bruschettas. They were a bit smaller than the last time I went. There were plenty sweet things to keep my hubby happy whereas I prefer savoury options. The scone was mediocre and no cream but apart from that we had a very enjoyable lunch. Staff were friendly & welcoming and it was nice to see the place busy.
Cosier atmosphere at night please! :)
Absolutely love the food here and there is a varied drinks menu.
Only downside we found was that on a cold, rainy Saturday night there was no ambiance - just the usual bright lighting, no dimmed lighting/candles etc. We also asked twice for the heaters to be turned on as it was so cold - we were there for 2 hours and they were still stone cold when we left. The look of the bistro itself could do with a makeover/modernising but this is just personal preference.
The above being said I still think the food here is some of the best in the city centre and the staff are lovely - very reasonably priced too!

Lovley Lunch
4 of us booked for Sunday lunch as part of the Aberdeen restaurant week. I cannot compliment the staff enough. The food was delicious and the service very good. We had Starters, Sweet Potato, coconut & chili Soup - delicious / Mussels - good and bets part was the sauce service with them / 2 had the Haggis Filo pastry with whisky sauce and a little salad, the dressing was delicious and the sauce amazing. Portion sizes were just enough. Main consisted of 2 chicken BBQ sauce and cheese burgers and 2 standard burgers, all serviced with homemade chips that were amazing, salad, again the dressing was delicious and some fruit coleslaw which was so tasty. This was the first time here and we will all be back to try an evening meal, we didn't have any desserts as we were too full so when we return I am looking forward to trying some. We only had soft drinks as we were driving but the girl behind the bar was having a busy time with cocktails and mixed drinks all of which looked lovely. Drinks menu was fairly substantial.

Very Nice Food.
Very Nice Food. As part of Aberdeen Restaurant Week, had dinner for 2
Very nice food, tasty, hot and well presented. Excellent value with the set price menu (£20 for 3 courses)
Decor could do with a little freshen up, and the lighting should be less, and warmer
Would recommend though based on the food, and we will return
Fabulous meal
Went for lunch for the first time yesterday, during Aberdeen restaurant week. Our meal was absolutely delicious.
I had the mussels with warm bread for starter then the mushroom risotto and garlic bread. My son also had the mussels then the chicken and bacon carbonara with garlic bread. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was great and staff friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate in going back. Thank you ?
Valentines Evening
We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. Lovely decorations and candles to set the scene for Valentines.
Great live music by the young talented singer and guitar player; just a shame she didn't play for longer!
The dishes were elegantly presented and very tasty especially the sea bass risotto it was exquisite!
The only criticism we can give was that the chicken supreme was slightly dry: probably due to the venue being fully booked and to keep the meals piping hot! But this did not distract from the great evening we had there.
Excellent cocktails and desserts afterwards by the friendly owner!
Thanks, highly recommended we will be back!
Lunch date
Would highly recommend this cafe. From the minute we walked in, the guys were friendly and welcoming. The place had great background music and was nice and warm.
The food was delicious with plenty taste and large portions. We also had pudding and the presentation of the food is great!
The couple next to us had their afternoon tea - this will be my next visit as it looked fab!
We parked in the denburn car park and a short 3-4min walk and you're at the cafe.
