Avoid if you don’t want stress. I’ve bought two properties through Kingsley Bond over the last two years, and while this latest purchase did reach completion, the process was far more stressful than it should have been.
They made numerous mistakes along the way. I had to correct my solicitor on four separate occasions. After completion, I was charged £300 for an AST Due Diligence fee that the firm later admitted had been applied in error. Despite that acknowledgement, I had to chase repeatedly just to get a response, was never given a clear payment date, and my formal complaint went unanswered.
Staff were polite when they did reply, but a confirmed overcharge shouldn’t need this much chasing. I’d hope to revise this rating if it’s resolved properly, but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who wants a smooth, stress-free transaction.
Alasdair Muir and his wonderful team are handling my sale and are fabulous. I would highly recommend using Kingsley Bond, they have made the process simple, efficient and easy.

I highly recommend Freya Lewis-Swire at Kingsley Bond Solicitors. She's been an absolute tonic on a very difficult sales journey and extremely professional, swift and communicative. She's handling my equally difficult purchase journey, but I know that I am in the best hands! I don't plan on selling again, but if I had to she would be the first person that I would call!

I could not be more grateful for the team at Kingsley Bond. Both Guy and Aily were incredibly supportive throughout the process of the purchase of my first house! When they want something from you, they reply within seconds. When you're trying to get an update from them, they hide behind out of office replies and refuse to give any response.
They give you "advice" that puts you in a vulnerable position just to make life easier for them.
I'm switching to a local solicitor as Kingsley Bond don't seem to have a customer focused business - just one with lots of ways to greed the money out of your pocket with lots of hidden charges.

Massive thanks to Al, Jane and Aimee for making my sale happen. I'd been through a few firms over the course of selling my flat (3 years!!) and I'm so relieved to have been able to hand the keys over on Friday.
I was kept in the loop at each stage, updates were detailed and I never felt like I was being palmed off.
They cost more than some other firms, but I never felt that I was just another number to them. Believe me when I say you do not want to cheap out on solicitors!
Thank you again guys, I would recommend you to anyone in a heartbeat.

Kate and Lucy dealt with the ownership and mortgage transfer of my daughters property. They were fantastic throughout the process, in particular they always replied to my emails very quickly, politely and professionally which made me appreciate we were in very good hands. When out of the office their colleagues dealt with some aspects of the process and they were very good too, so they are an excellent team. I highly recommend Kingsley Bond Solicitors Limited.

AVOID. time wasting.
Extremely slow and inefficient. A lot of hidden charges.
Had us sign the same documents again and again.
Claimed the solicitors of the seller did not respond, but when I personally contacted seller's solicitors, they showed me proof that KB was sitting on the emails and not acting.
It's been a year and still nothing has been finalised.

We instructed Kingsley Bond in September 2024 as solicitors for our home purchase. Little progress was made in the following three months and when we tried to get in touch to check in, we were left for over six weeks with no progress or response at all, despite multiple attempts at contact via email, phone, voicemail, and the company website’s ‘contact us’ options. Eventually we were forced to contact the Head of Domestic Sales directly through LinkedIn message. She responded and the solicitor (who had been copied into our emails) got in touch the next day. It transpired the solicitor in charge of our case had left the firm and our case had been, seemingly, forgotten. We were on a strict timetable to purchase ahead of the SDLT increase on 1 April 2025 and it was now February. We completed with two working days to spare but now, 18 months later, we are still waiting for an outstanding key document and information to be transferred to our names to allow us to pay ground rent and service charge, with no response to further emails, phone calls and voicemails. I appreciate we are no longer a time-sensitive priority but we have paid our fee and have been waiting 18 months to receive the full service agreed. The lack of responsiveness is and has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, in the face of service that is otherwise professional.

Unfortunately poor experience which began with months of no contact when a solicitor had left the team and no-one had taken over our case. This was only resolved once we escalated to senior management via LinkedIn ! Even now a year and a half later we are having issues.

We cannot recommend Freya highly enough. She acted for us through a very challenging house buying journey, including a previous transaction that unfortunately fell through and our eventual successful purchase.
Throughout the process she was professional, patient, thorough and always willing to explain legal matters in a way we could understand. She guided us through numerous enquiries, title issues, planning questions and chain complications, giving us confidence that everything was being dealt with properly.
What really stood out was her communication and dedication. She was always approachable, kept us informed, and never made us feel that any question was too much trouble. After everything we experienced with our previous purchase, having someone we could trust and rely on made a huge difference.
