Kingsley Bond helped me buy my first home last year, which went great. Vaishali did an excellent job with it. No complaints there.
My qualms come from a more recent interaction with them, where I had multiple calls and emails from Kim at Kingsley Bond to inform me that I was owed £2000+ following the purchase of my house as I was overcharged. I of course was delighted to hear this! Excited enough that I had some drinks with friends to celebrate this great news.
Fast forward a week I get a follow up call to let me know that in fact Kim was new and didn't understand the processes properly, and that I wasn't actually owed any money at all. Totally devastating news.
Seeing the invoice now the mistake is clear, Kim had neglected to include any costs for the solicitors themselves in my bill. A mistake this basic is totally unacceptable for a company handling sums of money this vast. I blame not only Kim, but whoever was in charge of training her. There's a fundamental issue that needs addressing here.
I certainly won't be trusting Kingsley Bond with any of my money again.
I think this must be the most impersonal ‘service’ I have ever had the misfortune to receive from a solicitor. They never answer the phone. I suspect they have been ‘working from home’ for years and the office number is just an answering machine. They email you back but don’t answer questions clearly. When they do email you with something important they either go home for the day early or go on holiday. They seem unobtainable on Fridays. I never knew where I was with my sale. The seller and their solicitor complained about duplicated queries time and time again. They were right. The sale went on so long I had to pay an extra insurance as the searches were out of date. No communication. Zero relationship. I could not even tell you what my solicitor sounded like. Avoid. I have no idea how they have a series of good reviews online.

Unfortunately our mortgage broker set up a deal with this firm for conveyancing. Initial costs were significantly higher than the last firm we used and then they rose again on completion. Hidden fees that weren’t even mentioned until I challenged them, along with having to pay a separate charge for an “onboarding company”
Work was completed with minimal communication and longer than necessary.

Kingsley Bond were recommended by my mortgage advisor for my remortgage + redemption of a Help To Buy loan. Matthew Le Bas was my assigned mortgage assistant and i'm very happy with his service. There were a few moments where the process seemed confusing to me, but Matthew was always able to answer my questions.
This isn't a process I plan to go through often so I don't have much to compare with, but I have no complaints about the service I was provided :)

If you enjoy a difficult onboarding process through an app that doesn’t work as intended, along with hardly any communication or updates, then this is the firm for you. Never again.

I can't recommend Liz Veness highly enough. The purchase of our first home became extremely stressful on the day of exchange and completion, and I can honestly say that without Liz's years of experience and unrivalled knowledge of the legal system, we could have incurred significant additional costs.
Her expertise and calm approach made an incredibly stressful situation much easier to navigate. I will absolutely be using Liz again whenever we next move and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering buying or selling a property.

Positive review on Guy Fernback
I had a great experience working with Guy Fernback and his team on the sale of our property in London. The qualify of their documentation, professional advice, and attention to detail were exceptional, and their communication was consistently prompt and efficient.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Guy to anyone looking for a reliable team for their property needs.

Excellent support for first buyers
I recently purchased my first property with great support from KBS. A huge thank you to Lora and the team for their dedication and patience throughout the lengthy process of buying from the local authority. Lora went above and beyond to ensure it was as stress-free as possible, with exceptional care and communication every step of the way. I felt completely informed and supported. Highly recommend their services!

Today, I completed the staircasing of my home to 100% with Kingsley Bond Solicitors, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received.
From beginning to end, the process was managed professionally, efficiently, and with great care. Combining a re-mortgage with staircasing can be quite daunting, but Olivia and Lucy made everything straightforward by keeping me informed throughout, responding quickly to any questions, and ensuring the transaction progressed seamlessly.
Their professionalism, efficiency, and friendly approach gave me complete confidence throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone needing a reliable and supportive legal team.

Scott and his team are one of the most reliable solicitors I've worked with in my five years as an estate agent. They are always contactable, pleasant to speak with and get to the heart of resolving any issue. Which can take other solicitors weeks to do and cause delays. Emily and Rhiann, Sarah and Kate, Gemma and Sophie and not forgetting Amy, have all been instrumental in our success as an agent over the last 3+ years, and we certainly would not be market leaders completing on close to 100 sales a year without there knowledge and expertise. Would certainly recommend!

Fantastic team of solicitors. I have used them to buy and sell my own house, and just completed on another family probate transaction and the whole team are amazing. Very responsive, never difficult to get hold of, reasonable charges and very easy to deal with. Will never use anyone else!

Kingsley Bond and Neil Hayes certainly live up to the poor reputation that conveyancing solicitors in this country have. Terrible service, totally unhelpful and very poor communication. Neil was also quite rude at times. At one point, he emailed to say "please send me the money"- I found this to be extremely unprofessional as he didn't refer which monies (deposit, his fees etc), and the monies also were not going to him but the firm!
We instructed KB to do the legal work on the purchase of our first house. As this was our first purchase, we wanted to know what was involved in the conveyancing process, roughly how long it would take, and also what "searches" they were doing and what they meant. We asked these questions multiple times and they were never answered. We eventually gave up asking and waited to get all our information back.
I also tried to phone them on several occasions to ask questions and was never successful in speaking to anyone, the phone would just ring and was never answered, on one attempt the line was ringing for 15 mins before I gave up!
Will certainly advise anyone against using KB.

I have used Isabel to purchase my daughter's first house and to sell a property. She has provided an excellent, professional and responsive service. There has always been a great attention to detail and the process has been explained clearly. I can not recommend her highly enough.

Our estate agents recommended Kingsley Bond as first time buyers. The communication was shocking, we had to chase every week to only speak to the PA, rarely to our solicitor. If us and the people we were buying from were not in contact, we would have had no idea what was going on, and they were also using Kingsley Bond! The same company but the communication between both solicitors was non existent. After putting a complaint in, no further action was taken nor did they think anything was wrong with the communication. Would not recommend to anyone buying a property.

Excellent service
Once again, excellent service from Liz Veness and Daisy Roberts on the sale of a property. Liz and Daisy kept calm and kept coming up with solutions as we waded through what became a painful process (not of our making) - a great team to have "fighting" your corner.

Here is the revised review with those exact cost figures.
I strongly advise against using this legal firm due to a significant oversight that occurred on August 3th. On the day scheduled for the property purchase to complete, we were informed that their team had failed to verify the necessary documentation for the funds, which completely blocked the transaction.
I incurred a removal cost of twelve hundred and fifty pounds, while the family in the middle of moving incurred a cost of twelve hundred pounds, as seen in the correspondence.
How is it possible for legal professionals in this field to allow such a fundamental oversight, resulting in such significant disruption? One must ask how such a profound lapse in due diligence can occur. I share this so others may consider whether they are prepared to face similar risks to their own plans and well-being.
The review highlights a critical failure in fund verification procedures on August 3th, which caused significant delays and substantial financial losses for your clients. Your firm's lack of response to such negative feedback demonstrates a disregard for our concerns, suggesting that client satisfaction is not your priority.
