My trip to Kilimanjaro was the most amazing and exciting. From the moment I arrived in Tanzania, Mussa took care of me. Everything was perfectly organized from the moment I arrived to the time I left. On arrival, I toured the town on the same day. In the evening I met my companion who flew from England.. The next day two more excursions to the waterfall and a coffee tasting in a mountain village were organized for us. There was no time to witness and think about what we had done here. On the morning of the third day, Mussa handed us over to other professional men, a large team that accompanied us for seven days. On the trip to the top of Kilimanjaro, full of adventure and excitement. During the week, we became very close friends with the whole team, that it was even painful to leave. They fed us deliciously, we ate hot food three times, we got warm water to wash up every morning and evening, we even had our own toilet, which was perfectly maintained. We were the first to leave the campsites. they stayed to collect our belongings, tent, table, pot, etc., and when we arrived at the next campsite, we found the tents set up again, everything ready. Only thanks to this team we reached the top. A big thank you to the entire Killi Adventures Team for the wonderful time spent together

Lifetime experience
We had the best time of our lives on our Kilimanjaro hike, with incredible support from the guides, porters, and everyone involved. We didn’t have to worry about anything—our only focus was on walking and achieving our goal. On the mountain, we were totally spoiled by the porters. We even learned some Swahili and greeted them as they overtook us on the trail, ensuring we arrived at camp to a hot dinner waiting! A key moment was when two of our four bags were delayed on arrival, but Musa arranged for their delivery to our camp of day 2!, allowing us to continue the hike with all our gears! Thank you! We came as clients but left as friends. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend Musa’s company as your first choice to reach the summit in a truly family-like atmosphere.

I can't say enough about Kili Team Adventures. Musa and his team made my 40th birthday the greatest of all time. Not even sure how I'll turn 41 next year! :) Let's start from the beginning...LEMOSHO 7 Day Route. After days/weeks of researching various touring companies (there has to be over 300 around Kilimanjaro) we decided to shy away from the major companies owned by non-citizens to Tanzania. Although being from the USA the paid advertisements, flashy websites, sales people, were all very tempting to give into from those "foreign owned companies". Ultimately, we decided on Kili Team Adventures because we had a friend of a friend who had a wonderful experience. This was enough to encourage us to take a chance with a local, Tanzanian owned business, keep the money local, and it was the best decision we made. There were four of us, three from the USA, and one from Panama. The communication via WhatsApp was fantastic as we were speaking directly with Musa. Two of us arrived at the airport on a Monday morning, purchased our visa at the airport, and were driven to Panama Garden Resort (great hotel with fantastic service, ask for eggs in the morning, but the dinner buffet gets a little old at $15 when there are great places nearby: Jackfruit Cafe/Courage Cafe). We checked in Monday morning, and were greeted by Musa himself in the afternoon. We setup a coffee tour last minute on Tuesday (take it or leave it, it's entertaining but a little disingenuous as they are ultimately business people running these coffee tours, NOT farmers actually making the coffee). We chalked it up to funding the local economy with our tourist dollars, with some sing alongs and great coffee. Musa then personally drove us around town to grab some last minute items and we met his wife selling in the local market - we also met the rest of the Kili office team! Wednesday, the rest of our party was supposed to arrive in the morning (one from USA, one from Panama). Unfortunately, only one person arrived (USA) while the other Gerardo from Panama was stuck in Turkey because Turkey required an e-visa from Panama citizens - which was inaccurate. We tried everything and ultimately, the savior on this was Musa who personally drove to the airport (1.5hr round trip) to speak with immigration and get an e-visa expedited so that Gerardo could book a flight from Turkey to arrive Thursday morning (the day our trek started). Without Musa's efforts - Gerardo would have been stuck in Turkey waiting for an e-visa to be approved which took upwards of five days. He saved the trip single-handedly. Musa picked up the third member of our party and then introduced us to our guides Peter Mlay and Calvin John (I HIGHLY suggest requesting these two) who would be our escorts to the summit. We had a trip debrief at the hotel, they looked through our clothing/equipment and made suggestions on various items like better sleeping bags, gloves, and more long johns. Later that day we were picked up by Musa and taken to the rental shop to get the last few items we needed to depart on Thursday. Easy process. Thursday morning, Gerardo finally showed up and was picked up by Musa personally at the airport at 6:30am. Taken to the hotel for a quick hour nap, and we hit the road to start our trek - Lemosho 7 day route. From that point forward, there were zero issues with our trip. Peter Mlay provided the consistent 1mph pace which took some adjusting to for me (mostly ego) but his consistency and eagerness to answer questions made each day enjoyable. He has over ten years of experience, and is a straight shooter. Calvin John added a fun dynamic to Peter where he gave some levity to our crew. Screwing around, making silly jokes, and learning words in Swahili we had no use for like: Mambo poa kichizi kama ndizi ndani ya friji. I would not have changed a thing having these two as our guides, and I HIGHLY recommend you request them by name, they were the yin/yang of mountain guides and such a dynamic duo. They know they mountain, they know who is capable, and the handle the rest of the team perfectly. August 27th, 2024 summit night, it was my birthday as we departed. If we successfully made it to the top I would reign in my 40th birthday on the tallest free standing mountain in the world. We departed around 12:45am, nobody said Happy Birthday...nothing from Peter, Calvin, or Kevin (summit porter). Me not being big on Birthday's I thought - no worries, we're all focused. 8hrs later we were standing on top of Uhuru and out busts a custom made banner along with sparkling apple cider where the team sang happy birthday to me for what seemed like 10min alternating between english and swahili. Shocked. I was surprised! They all played it off so well! All four or us successfully summited and spent nearly an hour on Uhuru enjoying the experience, and relishing in our new family. We came as clients, left as family. We miss our team of porters, seeing Sole at the end of each day to provide a quick brushing of our shoes/pants of all the dust, Hussain bringing morning coffee to the tent and "water for washing" at the end and beginning of each day. Not to mention the top notch service in the mess tent despite crazy winds. The cook for his deliciously crafted meals that never got old. Still craving the soup! Saeed for keeping a clean toilet tent, and the rest of the guys for just being happy to be out there working. Samuel for coming back nearly every day to help carry our bags if needed, and Calvin #2/Kevin for being our summit porter - truly caring for our well being. On the very last day after finishing we had lunch and Musa had arranged for a delicious birthday cake where the ENTIRE team of 16 people sang Happy Birthday to me. I'll never forget being so celebrated. On our bus ride home we bought a case of beer for the entire bus, and listened to Bongo Flava beats while dancing, singing, and causing a ruckus throughout Moshi. People were stopping to take photos of all the fun that was being had. Later that day we met with Musa and had a few laughs over a beer or two, and then departed on our fantastic two day safari with Elvis (best safari guide ever) to Tarengeti and Ngorongoro hitting four of the big five. Kili Team Adventures is top notch, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone heading to Kilimanjaro. Sure, some of the bigger companies might have nicer mess tents, but every company buys the same food from the same suppliers on the trail. It all comes down to how much care you spend getting to know your team. Lastly, bring more money than you think to tip. We ended up giving away clothes, boots, and ~$2k of tips (in total for the four of us).

I recently had the pleasure of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with the local tour agent called Kili Team Adventures, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Their organization was impeccable, from meeting us at the airport to arranging comfortable hotels and providing excellent guides, a skilled chef, and hardworking porters. Our guides, Amir and Rams, were not only professional and knowledgeable but also deeply concerned about our safety and well-being throughout the climb.
Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro itself was an unforgettable experience. At lower altitudes, while driving to the Lemosho gate, we encountered a variety of wildlife, including giraffe, zebras, antelopes, baboon and monkeys. The scenery was incredibly varied and breathtakingly beautiful. One of the highlights was the stunning view of Mt Meru, which we enjoyed in peaceful solitude due to the mountain's relatively low traffic.

My sister and I recently completed the Lemosho route up Kilimanjaro with Kili Team Adventures, and the whole experience was fantastic. When we booked in late 2022, Mussa from Kili Team Adventures was extremely helpful, providing prompt responses and excellent advice.
We chose Kili Team Adventures for their positive reputation and commitment to local staff and sustainability. In Moshi, we met our Guide Amiri for a briefing session. They carefully reviewed our gear and suggested what to rent, which was very helpful. Our team included 16 porters, leading guide Amiri, and assistant guide Rama , all of whom were professional.
The food was delicious, although there was more than we could eat. The summit stretch was challenging, but singing with the guides and porters kept us motivated. All three of us successfully reached the summit, thanks to the support and encouragement from our fantastic team.

Exceptional services with a great team
What an amazing experience. I had 8 days Mount Kilimanjaro climbing along with 4 days joining safari truly it was one of my best time holiday abroad, my climbing team together with other stuffs took a great care of me, the services up the mountain was an enjoyable and exceptional. My guide Amiri was very professional and knows exactly his responsibility, guided me in very nice pace and always remind me yo drink water, checked my purse every night and ensured that I safe, the waiter saved me meals at exactly time, helped me to pack my sleeping bag and sleeping mattress, they treated ne as a mountain princess. Highly recommend them.

Let me star by saying this company is amazing, and Mussa, the owner it's a great guy. We did a 4 day safari, we stayed in 4 great hotels. We visit tarangire national park, serengeti national park and ngorongoro conservation area. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and history. We saw the big 5 thanks to the knowledge of our guide. He took us to experience the masai tribe, to eat local food in Arusha and we visited a couple of galleries too. The food during the safari was great and plenty. I would recommend this company as Mussa is going to take good care of you. When we come back we will doing safari again with Kili Team Adventures, 1000% recommend.
The Best Day Tour in Moshi
There are more beautiful, exciting, and adventurous places in Moshi, but if you're here, you must visit Materuni Waterfall! It's worth it, offering a chance to learn about culture, enjoy the waterfall, and even swim if you're up for it—though the water is quite cold, originating from Mount Kilimanjaro's glacier. Experience traditional songs and dances from the local Chaga people, and share cups of coffee with them. It's a more fun and interesting tour than staying in a hotel.
Choosing lemosho route Kilimanjaro was superb decision
One of the most unforgettable moments in my life was completing the 8-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak. It had been a long-time dream, and finally achieving it was incredible. The services provided by Kili Team Adventures were exceptional. Their porters went above and beyond to make the hike easier, and their songs during the trip were motivating. The food was delicious, and we all reached the summit safely. We couldn't have done it without the help of our team. I highly recommend Kili Team Adventures for anyone planning a Mount Kilimanjaro trek.

This trip was the biggest accomplishment in my life. Kili Team Adventures Company professionally arranged our airport transportation Hotels/Lodges,Kilimanjaro climb and Safari. Mussa was very responsive to any question. He provided us with timely, accurate and useful information from the day that we arrived in Moshi Tanzania. And Yes! We ( 3 adults and one 10yrs old Kid) SUCCEEDED to climb the summit (8 days Lemosho Route) with the help of our guides "Amiri and Rama" Wohooo!, Who skillfully continued encouraging us to slowly keep up (Pole Pole), and drinks a lot of water to succeed the summit, and also with the support of all the Porters carrying all the equipments. They were so nice and friendly, our Chef Mama Africa) fed us very well with the delicious food. Kili Team Adventures (Mussa) planned our excellent arrangement in Safari, the lodges that we stayed in were amazing ( Lake Manyara and Serengeti Heritage Luxury camp) To our Safari guide OMMY, he was amazing, knowledgeable of animals, excellent and safe driver always attentive to the road and happy to show us the animals , and tell the interesting facts about wild nature. We enjoyed our 4 days Safari Game drive!. A truly amazing experienced, I will cherish for life (Kilimanjaro climb and Safari) I strongly recommend KILI TEAM ADVENTURES local company in Moshi,Tanzania for those who wants to climb the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, and for those who want to experience the amazing Safari game drive!
