I would like to thank Keith and Tim for the work they did on repairing my small oval stained glass windows and encasing them in a double glazed unit. They are very pleasant to deal with and skilled in their craft. I am very pleased with the result and would highly recommend them.

I can highly recommend KG Bell and am very happy with their service in repairing a broken pane in our stained glass door. They matched the glass pattern perfectly and our door looks resplendent now. My only regret is that I waited for 20 years to get it repaired! Very professional service, turned up when they said they would and reasonable prices for specialist work. The photos show before (1) and after (2,3)

The team at K.G Bell have done an incredible job on our 1930's lead lights. The lead light in the door was cracked in the corners and on the red flower and it was it was very unstable, this was completely rebuilt. The remaining lead lights were cleaned and brought back up to their former glory. The lead lights were then encapsulated in double glazing. New wooden encasements were built for the lead lights at the side and top of the door in order to hold the new double glazed panes. We are so pleased with the work that has been completed and would highly recommend K.G Bell.

Fixed 3 broken panes in my hall windows. Fabulous service and a great finished job, all for a very fair price. Quoted in the morning and completed the job the same day. Excellent!

We bought a 90year old house complete with its original draughty stained glass windows and rickety wooden frames. We fell in love with them and set about trying to find someone to restore them to their former glory ( and save us money on the heating bill!) Keith came and assessed every single pain of glass in the house, before giving us a quote. He has made it clear from the start which bits needed restoring, from glass panels to lead to wooden frames in detail so we were clear about costs and why. He has involved us in great detail throughout the process from window furniture, to which way the windows will open, do we want them to open or not etc etc. They have even created a new window in one room to echo the designs of the existing windows. We now have all our windows encapsulated as well as restored. Keith and Ryan came and removed all of our windows swiftly and replaced them with plain glass. Then once they were all ready to go back in, they have worked very carefully and quietly, like little church mice, putting all our windows back in. They were with us for 10weeks in all, but they haven’t got in our way, or bothered us and we quite missed them when they had finished! They also did a spectacular job. Such clever craftsmanship. We are really glad we used K.G.Bell. Very professional service, lovely people to work with through such a big investment for us. And we’re delighted with our beautiful windows.

Hi Laura, Thank you for your kind words. The work to your house took our team's wealth of knowledge and skills to complete. In encapsulating your original stained glass, back into your original wooden frames, you have preserved your stained glass for years to come with all the benefits of modern double glazing. It was a pleasure to work with you on your project. Team K G BELL.

After buying our current house we undertook a major renovation project and we were very keen to maintain, improve and modernise the property's original stained glass. Keith took it all away to his workshops, cleaned it, re-configured it (as the windows, frames etc had to change shape as part of the renovation) and encapsulated the "new" windows, making them completely wind and weatherproof. We're extremely pleased with the results of his efforts and recommend him unconditionally - we think the windows are excellent.

Hi Lawrence, Thanks for your feedback, on the work we did for you. I think the results that we all worked towards. Truly complement the new style of house you both have created. Your landing window capturing your garden. Is the my favourite window. I will pass on your comments to our team. Thanks Keith

The short version of this review if you are in a hurry: If you want any stained glass/glazing from a skilled, trustworthy and helpful company, Ring K.G. Bell. Get a coffee and sit back!!! I have never had to wander into the world of stained glass, despite years in the building game! Needed three panes for a old window in our house. They are a much loved stained glass design. We were fitting a new frame and need these panes encapsulated in sealed units. This was in the middle of the pandemic so we knew it wouldnt be easy. We asked for quotes from a number of companies more than half never responded. Those that did , when they found that the window was over a sloping roof and needed the stained glass encapsulating, either never came back or quoted prices that were way out of my budget. OK...Ill do it my self, my wife was not impressed (I'm 72) but she wanted it done so she agreed. I knew it would be a bit of a job, difficult access, need a frame to be made, then get glazing sizes, carefully remove the old glazed sashes and then get them to the ecapsulation company. As the frame was not just a rectangle (the top section is a truncated triangle), that was not going to be easy. Getting the frame was a whole other story..but we did it. Next the encapsulations....well the world of stained glass is a sort of paralell universe. I contacted eight companies 4 responded and two of them were off the buget scale or gave me funny vibes. That left two. One of these was K.Bell Glass. Keith phoned me in response to an email on a Saturday morning had a chat and even advised me how to remove the sashes carefully and offerd to come and do them for me! Next he sent a competative quote by email and a date he could do them (this is condensed version of lots of to and fro between me Keith and Tim). They must have thought I was a bit of a worrier but they went with me cheerfully. Ill close now as you will need a break. But the message is that the team at Bells helped me through a mega stressfull time with the project and produced a first class set of encapsulated units. As a footnote Keith told me that they could have taken on the whole project (frame and encapsulations and probably the fitting---but I was too far in by then.

We had repairs carried out to 140 year old leaded lights, some in situ and some remotely in workshop. All work was carried out when promised and to a high standard. Only reason for not giving fifth star was lead times and some slowness in responding to queries but I think this is mostly explained by current heavy workload. That said, would definitely recommend. Reasonable pricing too.

My parents had a broken pane in the stained glass window in their front door. Tim and Keith helped to organise the replacement and came at the time and date agreed with a choice of glass to match the requirement. The service was quick, clean and efficient. I certainly would recommend them and hope to use them for a larger project in 2022.

Great service received from K. G. Bell. After my stained leaded glass window was damaged I wasn't aware of any local specialist companies but after a quick search and read of previous reviews I decided to go with KGB. After contacting on the Friday they were able to come and repair the window on the Monday which was ideal. Contact with Keith was easy and quick throughout even responding on a Sunday evening. Ryan repaired the window quickly and looked good as new! Would definitely recommend. Thanks again

Keith and his team came to the rescue to fix damaged glass in a door I was restoring which fell over. They were really helpful and Ryan who came to do to do the repair has done a fantastic job, you wouldn’t know it had ever been damaged. Thanks for the great service! First image is the pieces that were cracked and how it looks now after repair.
Reply from K. G. Bell Ltd 2021.09.19
Hi Graeme, luckily the damage to your door was minor, and Ryan was able to replace the cracked glass without needing to remove the whole panel and rebuild it. This makes the job much faster, and causes minimal disruption, meaning you are able to enjoy the panel again sooner! We're really glad that you're happy with the end result - will pass your comments on to Ryan. Thank you! Keith

We asked for a 100 year old design to be reproduced for our front door. COVID made it difficult to get materials but we are over the moon with the outcome. The colours are perfect for the age of the house.

Hi Margaret, it's great when an opportunity like this comes up, and we are able to use our skills and experience to design a period stained glass panel specifically to suit a building's age and design. We were pleased with the result - glad you are too!

Thank you to the team for a lovely job replacing 15 small glass panes in our 30 year old wooden double glazing . It was a tricky job with some awkward access and heights. The service and workmanship were excellent and we are really pleased with the results.
