I travelled to this location from Rock Hill. The hours are stated on google as open until 9 but when I arrived at 11:35 I was rudely greeted by an older balding man without a smile or a welcome just a ‘we close at 12’. No signage in the facility at the intake window that says they close at 12. I signed my waiver after paying and in between the eye rolling and dreadful silence made my payment. The facility was clean but I was not satisfied with the customer service or lack there of as well as the miscommunicated hours of operation.

Jasmine, we hate to read that you had those frustrations … customer service truly is our top priority and we do hope that you will give us another roll.
Unfortunately, Google can be tricky.. even though we set our hours we do not own that search engine so from time to time things do get changed or reverted without us knowing… we do have a large tv screen in the ticket window that shows the times, prices and rotating ads. We do appreciate the feedback on not seeing that, as that is feedback we need.
We always encourage you to check out our website Katesonline.com, give us a call, or check us out on Instagram or Facebook for all of our correct information… Though we are constantly checking and making sure our Google hours are correct like I said unfortunately it isn’t 100% in our control. We hope you will consider rolling again and so we can get that review edited to a five star.

Kates skate facilities are top grade. For skaters, the floors are so well maintained - Cleaned before/after every session and regularly resurfaced. This is a reflection of how all other aspects are handled, from concessions, skate shop, and play areas. They also support Charlotte Roller Derby and other community causes. A real example to strive for.

Nice rink, clean - decent equipment although I wish they’d turn the music down a little - it’s WAY too loud for a family place - sounds more like a club but it’s not like we have many options around Charlotte for indoor skating

Kates Skating Rink is truly one of the best skating experiences around! The staff is always welcoming, helpful, and great with kids and families. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door.
The rink is clean, well-run, and always full of great energy. Their website is also super easy to use—whether you’re checking session times, booking a party, or just looking for information, everything is clear and convenient.
Every visit to Kates is a great time. Highly recommend for family fun, birthday parties, or just a good skate night out!
