I would like to preface this review with the following. This took place at the Campbell, ca location, based on my personal experience and was based on my interaction with one individual only. Jumpstart MD is a “medically supervised” weight loss program based on food tracking, dietary counseling and , should you choose, pharmaceutical interventions. Jumpstart offered a holiday special waiving lab fees and initiation costs to former clients. Falling into that category and having put on about 7 pounds over the summer ,I decided to bite. The initial contact was courteous, professional and what I had come to expect from previous experience. I just needed a little tune up and a kick back on track and this seemed just the thing. My first appointment was with the nurse practitioner to review labs, get weight and body composition and chart my course. As before I did not choose to do any of the pharmaceuticals , supplements, vitamin injections or purchase any of their ‘special products’. At this point he (the nurse practitioner) seemed to become exasperated and wanted to know why I was there. He seemed put off by the fact that I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on pricey products that do not make weight loss sustainable. He really couldn’t wait to get me out of there and our time together was short. My next two visits were with Matt, someone I had dealt with before. He was encouraging , knowledgeable and helpful. I made quick progress and saw positive results. Their contract states that all programs are charged monthly , prepaid, and they need 30 days notice to cancel. I cancelled after my December visit with Matt. They then charged for January and I still had a month to work with them. My January appointment was on the 15th, yesterday. For some reason I was back with the nurse practitioner in just the luck of the draw. I told him I was struggling with their technology. EVERYTHING is on an app and AI supported. I asked to have him walk me thru it. He couldn’t even log onto the app, never mind find his way around it. Again, he couldn’t wait to get me out of there . Also disparaged me for already cancelling. A very disappointing and discouraging waste of my time and effort. The receptionist couldn’t have been nicer and helpful too! My next and last appointment will be with Matt. Not coming back.

I am a 67 year-old female Jumpstart MD has been the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I’ve had weight issues since I was six years old. I’ve gained and lost the same 40 pounds probably 10 times in my life.
This time it isn’t about how I look it’s about my health moving forward as I am getting in that above 60 section of life… Lol
Through Jumpstart MD I was supported during my weight loss, medications helped extremely and were easily available.

Super disappointing. The communication and how I was talked to was truly upsetting. I had a very unpleasant and hostile conversation with Tanya the front desk of this office. I felt like I was getting bullied by her. I immediately switched offices and called member support. I’m paying almost $400 a month and that is not including the $500 medicine and extra $39 vitamin shots. I would definitely stay away from this office.

All the services I received at this facility are top-notch. I participate in the BHRT pellet insertions, they’ve made a huge difference in my day-to-day living. I also receive regular vitamin injections which boost my gym performance as well as my health. The staff here is incredible. I just wish they had a facility in SonomaCounty.
I lost 55 lbs over the course of a year with support from JumpstartMD and a GLP-1. The body composition analysis was a game changer--it showed exactly how much of my weight was actual fat, which kept me focused on the right goals. I also appreciated having medical supervision while taking the medication.
Today, I'm 10 lbs lighter than I was during a phase when I was working out five days a week. The difference is how sustainable this feels.
A couple of pro tips from my experience:
1. Reuse what worked for you in the past. If you've ever successfully lost weight with a particular diet plan, bring it back. The GLP-1 takes the "white knuckling" out of dieting and makes it much easier to eat the way you were supposed to anyway -lean protein, vegetables, simple meals.
2. Slow and steady truly works. Be happy with one pound a week--or even maintaining during harder weeks. My entire 55-lb loss happened over 52 weeks. Consistency beats intensity.
3. Side effects were minor. I had a few small headaches and one or two nights of poor sleep after the weekly injection. Occasionally unhealthy food made me feel off, but that was rare and honestly a helpful deterrent. With healthy eating (which the medication makes far easier), it wasn't a problem. I meal-planned for about 10 months, and now I just naturally eat that way.
Being at a normal, healthy weight again is worth every minor bump along the way. I have also encouraged 4 of my friends to do this as well and they are all having similar success.
If it doesn't work for you, simply stop taking it but definitely try it with the support from the team at JumpstartMD Mt. View!

Bad Experience
I am a current JumpStartMD client having a bad experience. I've been using the program for about 6 weeks. The ultra low-carb option wasn't working for me - impacting sleep, energy, etc. JumpStartMD has no flexibility in how they work with clients. Frankly, it doesn't seem like they care much about the outcome of a client's weight loss journey - as long as they are getting their $200 per month. At each monthly visit I have asked the "nutritionist" to address my concerns. It's clear she is reading from a script. Also, trying to upsell me. I don't understand how JumpStartMD is still in business. What's on their website is false advertising - there is no personal support with this program. It's an app and an InBody scan once a month. If you're willing to pay $200 a month for that accountability, it's a good option. Otherwise, you're better off just following a low-carb diet on your own. There is nothing in the JumpStartMD program that you can't get via a Google Search.

The experience started with the sales team lying about the availability of parking. Ok, I can deal with that. Each visit felt like an opportunity for them to upsell me on additional services. When cancelling, they neglected to mention that I wasn’t canceling everything, so I kept getting bills after my membership ended. I cannot recommend this service.
To clarify: the issue with parking wasn't that it was hard. The issue is that the sales team lied to me before I made the decision to join. That is unforgivable.
