We are very thankful to Mrs Ang and Joyous Learning for the wonderful support and guidance given to my girl throughout her English tuition. Mrs Ang is a very responsible, dedicated and caring teacher who genuinely puts in effort to help her students improve. We have seen a lot of improvement in my girl’s English, not just in her results but also in her confidence and understanding of the subject. We really appreciate Mrs Ang’s patience, encouragement and commitment. It is reassuring to know that our girl is in good hands. Thank you, Mrs Ang and Joyous Learning, for all the support and effort you have put into helping her! ❤️

My son attends Joyous since P6 and shown marked improvement in both English and Maths… teacher Ms Ong and Ms Cindy has been motivational in supporting his learning. When we need help to tabao food due to his tight CCA schedule- teacher Cindy stepped up to help tabao weekly. It is the love they have for their students that made them do well. Currently my son has distinctions and is aiming to continue to excel. Thank you all at Joyous for your patience and care. (Even the admin support team)

My son is in Primary 6 this year and attended Math, English, English composition and Science lessons at Joyous since the Jun holidays. He says that the teachers were very kind and understanding; they taught at an appropriate pace and in a way that everyone understood. The teachers were patient and very encouraging too. Through his lessons, he has built on concepts and understanding. And I could see that the teachers engaged him and motivated him to keep improving - thank you, Joyous!

I have two children attending classes here and both have benefited from this boutique tuition center. Teacher Stella has been wonderful with my P4 daughter for Math. She is incredibly patient and has a gift for keeping my daughter engaged and interested in the subject. Mrs Ang taught my P6 son writing for the year and made an impact on his composition skills. She provided constructive feedback that helped him understand where to improve, and taught him useful planning and execution techniques that have really strengthened his writing for PSLE.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible support, patience, and guidance you provided for my daughter Rachel during her PSLE preparation. Your dedication, encouragement, and structured approach to teaching made a significant difference in her learning journey. Not only did she achieve her desired score, but she also developed a stronger sense of confidence and a deeper understanding of the subjects. The extra effort you put into helping her with challenging topics, the personalized attention during lessons, and the consistent motivation truly went above and beyond what we could have hoped for. It is clear that you genuinely care for your students’ success, and we are incredibly thankful for your unwavering commitment. Rachel has spoken highly of how engaging and inspiring your classes were, and it’s clear that the supportive environment you created contributed to her achievements. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without your guidance and encouragement. Once again, thank you for everything you’ve done to support Rachel. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had you as part of this journey, and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the future.

I don’t think it is useful video GEP Prep. Just puts kids in this additional peer pressure. Whole concept of GEP only benefits these coaching centers and nothing gain for kids. Before the day of exam my son has learnt effectively nothing from this course.

Reply from Joyous Learning 2024.11.11

Hi Deva, the package you purchased is the Questions and Answers pack, which provides exposure to the types of questions that might appear in the selection tests. This pack is not a full preparatory course; rather, it’s designed as a supplementary resource to be used over time to help familiarise students with different question types.

While we understand the desire to see quick results, significant progress often requires consistent, spaced-out review rather than last-minute preparation. This resource is similar to PSLE past-year papers—valuable for practice but not a guarantee of identical results on test day, especially if reviewed only shortly before the exam.

We understand that some parents and students can feel pressured by the GEP selection process, especially when other children may already be preparing. However, we encourage a balanced approach that allows children to engage with these materials at a comfortable pace, minimising any added stress.
