The haughty CEO enabled tactless creeps at the office.
Pros:There were some decent benefits offered. Cons:The atmosphere was a mess because of tactless creeps who thrived on haughty behavior. The CEO's arrogant attiude set a tone where dismissive interactions were the norm. Team members were too busy stroking their own egos to collaborate effectively. Respect was scarce, and professionalism felt like an afterthought. Advice to Management:Train the team to value respect and humility over arrogance.
I have faithfully paid the monthly payment for well over a year and yet JG Wentworth massively and completely botched the negotiations with my biggest credit card vendor that resulted in a judgement against me. JG Wentworth had intentionally ignored the SIX separate email inquiries, demands and communications by me. They respond to an initial email saying “We got your email,” then nothing happens at all for weeks. JG Wentworth is a complete fraud and no one should do business with them. They make promises to their clients, then breach their duties and responsibilities to their clients. If I could give a -5 star review, that still wouldn’t be enough. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.
I chose JG Wentworth due to their outstanding reputation and the array of services they offer, which are precisely what I needed assistance with. I was initially unaware they provided this particular service until I saw an advertisement on TV. They have cultivated a strong reputation for being professional and client-focused, which reassured me in my choice. My experience with their team, especially during the initial stages, was remarkable. The representative I interacted with was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. What stood out was how he shared my credit report in real time over the phone, which made the process transparent and easy to understand. This interactive approach was crucial and gave me confidence in their services. The pricing and options offered by JG Wentworth were highly competitive, providing more value than other companies I explored. I appreciated working with them directly and efficiently during the process rather than waiting for turnarounds. Their customer service exemplifies their dedication to customer satisfaction, ensuring that I felt involved and informed at every stage. I'm looking forward to continuing my relationship with them.
Inappropriately High Sales Goals For New Hires
On-site staff and sales members are accommodating, but expectations of meeting inapproportionately high sales goals for new hires creates an overly competitive attitude and should warrant a higher hourly pay rate. Pros: Accommodating, flexible schedule Cons: Inappropriately high sales goals for newly trained
Stuck and terribly miserable!
Pros:I thought working for JG Wentworth would actually get me somewhere, but I was stuck and terribly miserable like all other employees! Cons:Work environment was awfully draining, mostly due to the toxix managers micromanaging and harassing employees! Advice to Management:Do something good for employees like maybe trusting them with their job!
Insignificant work, mean-spirited management, and poor employee support
The culture was mean-spirited, with management offering poor support and treating employees like insignificant cogs. There was no room for meaningful growth, and any feedback was ignored or dismissed with hostility. Morale was consistently low due to unrealistic expectations and a lack of basic respect. The overall experience felt like being undervalued and unimportant at every turn.
Really wish I could give zero stars. Horrible company to work with. Did a debit consolidation with them. I ended up paying off most of the debts myself because after dealing with them for over 3 years they didn't even have 1 of my debts cleared up. Was down to one last debt with one final payment. They didn't pull the money for the payment which broke the arrangement with the last company. So now I cant make any final payment until they renegotiate which can take 2 to 4 months in the mean time my credit which was getting better is about to go back down because of this dirty company. Also they say over and over that they have tried to contact me via email or phone call and never once have I received an email or phone call. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.
JG is The Biggest Scam!!! They take your money monthly and wont pay the Collector until they build up a savings for you. While you are receiving Negative Reports on your Credit Report. Then the Collection will take to Small Claims Court and you are paying their Court Fee. Elon and ***** need to Shut JG Down
Most members of the leadership are awful
Pros:I'm lucky I have a good supervisor because most of them are awful. Cons:Most members of JG Wentworth's leadership are awful. There are a few supervisors who are good and supportive, but there are far more useless and hostile ones. Moreover, many of them are unprofessional and show their biases. Their blatant biases and favoritism also help create a toxic and unhealth work atmosphere.
Run don't walk from this company. They tell u what they want you to hear so you will sign up for the program then it's lie after lie. This was supposed to be a stress free program and I'm more stressed out than what I was before signing up. The worst thing that happened was when I received a summons saying I was being sued from one of my creditors because they never negotiated a settlement. I could go on and on. They also take all their fees out first before even starting to pay your creditors. I am now talking to a lawyer to sue them for breach of contract because everything i was told never happened and trying to get a manger to call you back never happens. What a nightmare this has been.
DON'T DO IT! I filled out a simple form online and within seconds a representative had called me, after a presentation of 45 mins, I was a bit hesitant. (Should have went with my gut) But I asked if I could take a day to think about it and as a typical salesman wouldn't take no for an answer and promised me I could CANCEL AT ANY TIME! A few weeks go by and I got a raise at work and some other things fell into place where I thought I didn't need the debt relief program anymore, plus after reading a lot of bad reviews of people still getting sued no matter what I decided I was going to cancel. I called multiple times, got the run around on the phone, could never get transferred to the correct department. Was told if I leave a voicemail they will go ahead and cancel it. Kept calling to confirm never could get anyone to help me. The first payment was still pulled from my bank account, and I had to call my bank and cancel my bank account. Lucky I'm only out $285, But I'm still calling every single day. Today was a breaking point, Talked to the first representative, told them I have left voicemails, and keep getting the run around and even at one point they just transferred me back to the main menu where it was like "Thanks for calling JG Wentworth press 1 for.... press 2 for...." I called back right away, talked to someone different they said they would get a "person on the line to help", 2 mins go by and I heard a weird "beep" and they hung up on me!!! They will pressure you into signing up, and won't let you think about it. and promise you that you can cancel at any time. But will ghost you and never respond when you actually need to talk to someone. Now I'm told I need to call Arnold and Smith Law, which they never answer the phone and have left multiple voicemails with as well.
JG Wentworth seeks to take advantage of individuals who are already in debt. I was charged for services that were not explained and charged for 60 days worth of services when i had the account for less than 30 days. When I asked to close my account and get a refund they did everything they could to drag it out and no one could expedite anything. I was told that the computer took over and no one had any control over it after that. I was told by two different creditors that this is how JG wentworth does business. These two creditors have had issues getting payments and speaking to someone at JG Wentworth. I would never advise anyone to use this company EVER...... I paid in $300 and I am only gertting $260 back even though i did not use them at all and only had the company for 3 weeks. I would like to recieve all my money back but after speaking to two people I was told that they do not have an option on the computer to do that.
I first heard about the JG Wentworth debt relief program through an ad on social media, possibly Instagram or Facebook. I was interested in consolidating my debt as I felt overwhelmed this year, and it seemed like a great way to manage my finances. The enrollment process was smooth, requiring minimal information. Although I wish the educational piece had been explained more during my conversation with the representative, instead of through video tutorials, my experience was overall very positive. I've just started using the program and am setting up my online information to track my progress. In terms of customer support, it has been excellent. Whenever I needed to discuss the program or provide additional information, the process was quick and easy. I would rate my experience a 5 out of 5 and have already recommended the program to friends. The program has brought me peace of mind, as I'm now able to sleep well knowing my debts are being handled. I don't feel overwhelmed anymore, and I have a sense of peace with the solution in place.
They are a SCAM!!! They had me pay the same amount after including their "fees." Their settlements meant nothing!!! They tried telling me to even pay the full amount on one of my accounts! They got me in a vulnerable place with their instagram ads and I thought finally maybe I can get this figured out. Do not use a debt settlement company!!! I am pleading with you! I have paid the exact same amount, ruined my credit for the next seven years! If I knew all I had to do was contact the credit card companies and ask them for solutions to my problem while explaining my situation they would've aided me in fixing the debt along with saving my credit!!! These people sell you a story and thinking you can settle for less than you owe and bring your credit back up as soon as you settle. 100/100 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!Contact your bank/credit card companies, I am begging you for your sanity. They will help you! Credit card companies offer help on these things, I wish I had known prior to falling dumb for their ads!
A Toxic Approach Leads to Poor Work Culture
Pros:They claimed that they helped people overcome financial challenges and improve their financial situation. This wasn't the reality, as they were greedy. Cons:The leadership has got a terrible idea of pitting employees against each other. So, every employee lies blatantly and can become hostile towards their co-workers. This awful approach has ruined the work culture and might destroy it completely in the future. It's painful to witness. Advice to Management:Recognize the difference between healthy competition and toxicity.
Please if it is at all possible, by pass JG Wentworth. I am enrolled in a debt relief program with that company 26 months with only 18 months remaining. I have been to court three times by the same creditor. I contacted JGW each and every time prior to the creditor taking any legal action against me. I was always told they will look into it. Prior to signing any agreement, I was told after 6 months into the program creditors will more than likely not contact me due to agreed settlements. JGW did NOTHING but repeatedly LIE to me about looking into the matter instead of telling me that it was little they could do. Then I would have made an attempt to contact that particular creditor. That creditor ended up garnishing my pay check, 60%. Now I recently found out that another creditor has turned an account that JGW listed in my relief program to settle with. I had to sell property to come up with something quick to move into an affordable place. Now that's going to be a problem because that debit is my credit report as delinquent 18 months non-payment. By the way I reported that to JGW also prior to that creditor sending it to a collection agency. What good is enrolling in a debt relief program if they make matters much worse? JGW did that to me. I call them to get updates. They outright LIE with excuses. Now I have to try to resolve this matter with this creditor before applying for an affordable apartment. I recommend anyone interested in a debt relief program, contact anyone else before any slight considerations with JGW. If you don't you maybe sorry that you did. I SURELY AM!
