I managed to lock myself out of the house when rushing to go to the shops. I called Jet Locksmith and Julian arrived within 20 minutes and managed to get me back into the house really quickly. He was very friendly and efficient and installed a new lock on the door. I would definitely recommend this company.

Entrance door fix.
Opening and locking mechanism failed on entrance door to my apartment. Locksmith arrived 25 minutes after my phone call to seek a repair. Locksmith diagnosed fault within 15 minutes and repaired 5 minutes later. Excellent service and top quality work.

Emergency service to gain entry to my flat.
Left my flat leaving keys inside! Called emergency locksmiths service. Informed that response would be 20 to 30 minutes. Locksmith arrived punctually. Lock needed to be replaced to gain entry. Work undertaken promptly and professionally. The Locksmith was friendly and polite. Very good value for money Certainly a 5 star service highly recommended.
My wife suffers badly from Parkinsons, I got locked out emptying the bin. The situation was very worrying and urgent. Julian was fantastic, he dropped what he was doing and came round in less than 10 minutes. He was professional, friendly and very understanding. I thoroughly recommend him ask kind, reliable and good in a crisis.

Had a lock changed by Jet Locksmiths and sadly this evening it broke. I called them he rocked up within 20 minutes lock changed and done within one hour. Best part was due to having them fix my lock 6 months ago I was covered under warranty and didnât have to pay a penny. Super appreciated, thank you once again. Couldnât recommend more!

Front Door lock replacement
I chose this company based on great reviews, but had a frustrating experience. Julian quoted ÂŁ170+VAT for a 3-star high-security lock, which I confirmed I wanted. On arrival, he said my existing lock was 1-star and claimed 3-star wasnât necessary. I trusted his advice and went with the lower spec, but was still charged the full price. Youâre a complete liar and a coward as you didnât have the guts to say anything while I was there. You got the lock you paid for. (Your lock and the one I fitted are different) Only after I left is when the keyboard warrior in you came out. As this job was through Checkatrade we have to charge you more than if it wasnât through Checkatrade due to their constant price increase over & over again. If this job was through our website you wouldâve been charged ÂŁ125+vat but due to Checkatrades constant price increases we canât do that.
I chose to use this company because of the excellent reviews it had on Google and CheckaTrade but I had a frustrating experience with Jet Locksmiths and wouldnât recommend his service.
Julian originally quoted me ÂŁ130+VAT for a basic security lock and ÂŁ170+VAT for a high-security lock, which I confirmed was to be a 3-star. I made it clear thatâs what I wanted, and he agreed. I went ahead on that basis.
When he arrived, he said my existing lock was a 1-star and then quoted ÂŁ200+VAT for a 3-star â a price never mentioned before. He told me the 3-star wasnât actually necessary, so I trusted his advice and went with the recommended option. I paid the invoice immediately, trusting the charge reflected the actual work and product provided. It was only afterward, upon reviewing everything, that I realised the discrepancy and that he had charged the full price quoted for a high-security product but installed the lower security lock without adjusting the price accordingly.
When I questioned this later, he shifted the language â now calling the 1-star âhigh securityâ and saying 3-star was âmaximum security.â These terms were never explained at the start. I had been clear I wanted the 3-star for the price quoted over the phone.
I was relying on his advice in good faith, especially given this was for a front door, where basic locks with minimal anti-burglary protection are clearly unsuitable and should never have been in the conversation. To make matters worse, Iâve since found that the lock he installed is a 1-star Versa, which retails for around ÂŁ5 so I was charged ÂŁ165 for 20 minutes of labour.
He pointed out that the other local locksmith who I had spoken to for a quote would have charged ÂŁ160 for a 1-star, and said he would match their price. I didnât want or ask for a refund â I just wanted the proper 3-star lock installation I was quoted for. But he pushed for a refund and agreed to refund the difference between the quotes which was ÂŁ44. However he then backtracked again, saying heâd only refund ÂŁ10 because he charges VAT and the other company doesnât â even telling me to âcontact Inland Revenueâ if I didnât like it. Completely missing the point that from the customer's point of view, I still paid more for less â and what was agreed had changed again.
This wasnât a simple pricing error. It was a string of shifting justifications, evasions, and unprofessional behaviour. I gave him every chance to put things right, but he refused to take responsibility.
If youâre looking for a locksmith, I suggest going with someone who is transparent, upfront, and stands by what they quote. Unfortunately, that wasnât my experience with Jet Locksmiths and no doubt he will reply to this review with some more evasive comments.

When responding to reviews i normally try to be as polite as possible and when the customer is lying i use the term 'mistaken' but in this case the customer is blatantly lying on multipe fronts and i'm going to call it as it is.
Firstly, you didnt request for a 3 star lock on the phone as you didn't even understand the security ratings until i explained them to you when i was at your property, you recieved a high security lock, a lock rated to BS3621 insurance approved not a low security lock like you keep suggesting. So a 3 star lock was not agreed over the phone like you claim, so that is a lie.
When i was working changing the lock you was right next to me the whole time and i explained everything and you were happy at the time. I noticed how you failed to mention you lied to me about another Locksmith who i contaced and got an email from them to confirm their prices, which proves you to be lying again, you claimed Focus locksmiths quoted you ÂŁ150+VAT for a 3* lock, i knew this was a lie immediately as Focus Locksmiths don't charge VAT, you claimed it was ÂŁ110 labour and ÂŁ40 for a 3* lock + VAT but this wasn't correct was it? Becasue what he actually charges is ÂŁ160 no VAT for a 1* lock whereas i charged you ÂŁ170+VAT so a ÂŁ10 difference excluding the VAT. As a goodwill gesture i offered to refund the ÂŁ10 difference but you said you want ÂŁ44, still trying to lie and push your luck.
I explained this was VAT and if you didn't want to pay VAT in the future you should choose a non VAT registered company, after 20 odd email exchanges over ÂŁ10 or ÂŁ44 and not seeming to get through to you i did say if you're unhappy at paying VAT contract inland revenue as i'm not refunding the VAT, he has threatened me with a 1* review if i don't do as he says and refund him( i'm sure you can guess what happened) I WILL NOT BE THREATENED! You keep making it sound like i fitted the lock that we charge ÂŁ130+vat instead of the HIGH SECURITY lock for ÂŁ170+vat, this is another lie, you got what you paid for.
