I went to this zoo when growing up. The variety of animals was the biggest surprise. My comparison is with Busch gardens in Virginia, the Boston Aquarium and Sea World in Florida for the same reason.

They say it's open until 7pm but at 5 everything starts shutting down.

For lots of charge for tickets and parking there is no animal to see . We went with my boys 3 people lots of charge but we visited all sections of animal in one day but wherever we go there was no animal in cage. Or they slept and hide behind or hole wasn’t visible for visitors who pays a lot. We feel we pay for walking whole trail.

Good experience with a baby and toddler, however even if arriving at the opening I find it hard to imagine how a family with younger kids can view the entire zoo in one day. Strategic planning with kids is recommended, especially with the crowds getting significantly bigger around noon. Buy your tickets in advance online as the lineup were quite significant when we left between 1-2pm.

Did a great job despite charging full price during renovations. Some animals were not on display but enjoyed the ones that were.

We had a great time, and kids had fun. Great place for family at least once a year. Would recommend it 👌. If you are going to be getting ECVs, it's better to reserve online for the day you are planning as they don't have more than 2 (first come, first serve basis)

50th anniversary… 50 empty exhibits!!!! No giraffes , no komodo dragons, no chimpanzees, workers welding within view of children right beside the boardwalk of the old tiger exhibition (dangerous to look at without proper eyewear), no mention online that you had to prebook to walk through the kangaroos (which closes at 3 instead of 7 - yet when asking employee why private group could walk through the kangoroo path, I was told to complain to guest services at the entrance, half the water fountains were broken, people washing their laundry in the splash pad, overall not worth a single penny.

Beautiful, A must see attraction in Ontario. There must be something for elder people who have difficulties in walking. Rest absolutely beautiful
