Thanksgiving dinner pre fixe. Amazing service and good overall meal with a couple misses. Highlights: pickles and biscuits, pumpkin soup, mac n cheese, turkey and stuffing. The dessert was too similar to the soup in taste and presentation. Some greens would be nice on the main plate to cut through the richness of the meal. You can order green bean casserole as an add on. Would have been nice to have something not as rich like a small portion of brussell sprouts or collards. Very good overall.
It's delicious. It is NOT southern however, haha. (Actual Lowcountry Charleston/Savannah boy here with a decade in ATL to add). I'd say it's more akin to what I'd imagine a midwesterner's take on southern would be like. But it's interesting! (Mushroom gravy was a white gravy as opposed to brown, that was wild!) Definitely try it, but don't think this is what food down in the south is like.
We love Jacob’s pickles in Manhattan. This is a pale shadow of its Manhattan self. Cold “hot chicken” sandwich, sad looking Mac n cheese that bears no resemblance of the usual. However, when we brought this to the manager, Steven, he was very quick to do his best to resolve things
5* to him and to the side of Jacobs Pickles we got that were up to the delicious standard that we love.
Amazing Southern-inspired comfort food! The pickles are fantastic, the mac and cheese is delicious, and every dish is rich and satisfying. The service is amazing—friendly, attentive, and fast. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful décor make the experience even better. Absolutely a must-visit
This was my first time here and we had a lovely server-Sam. Shoutout to Sam for showing us some southern hospitality with her charm and attentiveness. The food was SO good. I ordered fried chicken in sausage gravy-didn’t take pictures but will certainly next time. The portion size, taste, and atmosphere are what will bring me back. Tons of space to eat alone, group, or large party, but you are not on top of each other. Looking forward to my next meal there and hoping to get Sam again or her twin sister Lindsey 🫶🏼
I deeply enjoyed Jacob’s pickles. What a fun atmosphere. The deviled eggs were lovely, and the pickles were delicious. They had a very interesting pickle biscuit beer. I loved the biscuits, especially the pumpkin ones. The mini pecan pie was also to die for! I would recommend coming here for sure. It does get busy on the weekends so plan ahead! We had the pleasure of meeting Jacob, who is so kind and loved hearing more about the story behind the place.
