Renovate Hawaii was the installers for Island Windows & Doors:
We purchased this condo in December 2024. During our walkthrough, the previous owner told us that Renovate Hawaii had shattered the window on the lanai BUT it would be fixed by Renovate Hawaii. We closed escrow trusting that everything would be fixed as we have all of the paperwork.
In April 2025, while replacing the shattered window the installers broke a style strip down the side of the window. This lets air inside the condo as this is the seal for the window. Matt Tanaka, the owner, submitted a replacement AND has been fully aware of this issue.
It is now October 7, 2025 and the style strip has not been delivered and we don't receive any updates from Matt Tanka unless we call. During our call to Matt today, he said he needed to place another order on October 4, 2025, as the previous order was lost in the mail. Matt says it takes 3 months to ship. THIS IS ABSOUTELY RIDICULES AS WHY IT THIS ORDER NOT FEDEX OVERNIGHT FROM COLUMBIA.
BUYER BEWARE - BOTH THE SHATTERED WINDOW AND THE BROKEN STYLE STRIP WERE BOTH A RESULT OF RENOVATE HAWAII WORKSHIPMEN. Don't buy from Island Windows & Doors if Renovate Hawaii installs them.
We are customers and this is just not pono for Hawaii.
Island Windows & Doors gave us a fair price and delivered exactly what we expected within the quoted timeline. They use Renovate Hawaii for installation, and those guys were excellent too. The windows were delivered directly to our house by a courier, which was a surprise but actually made things easier since there was no need to coordinate a pickup beforehand. All in all, a smooth process and we’re happy customers.

I called Island Windows and Doors inquiring bout repairing some stuck windows and was told that they mainly do window installations. I sent photos and measurements to Mana, the owner of the company, to get a quote for new windows. When he received my information he said he could come by in the afternoon and possibly fix them. He was so professional and kind and went right to work solving my problem!
I am so impressed with the service of this company and will use them in the future and will recommend them to anyone needing windows or doors. It is a joy to work with a company like this...True Aloha spirit!

Paul & Mana owners of Island Windows and Doors, this company is owned by Monobi Enterprises LLC. ( Check on DCCA for verification) You have taken over 9 Thousand dollars from our family including my wife 93 year old father. It all started with you cashing the check provided to Mana on 12/06/2024 for replacement of 2 bedroom windows. As of today 5/22/2025 almost 6 months later no product no service and as of the last 3-4 weeks no contact completely ghosted. Please Paul & Mana REFUND all money taken from us. We chose your company because on TV and internet talking about you being a local company and we believe in supporting are local brothers and sisters companies. Paul I see you respond to only anything good or fixable on YELP. Please help get our money back.

I am 68 years old. In December 2024, I hired Island Windows & Doors to replace the windows in our family condo on behalf of my 93-year-old father-in-law. We paid Island Windows in full $9289.00, but they provided no service or product. We have repeatedly demanded a refund; they will not return calls or emails. Yet they are still in business, taking people's money. I have been working with your KHON Action Line and DCCA, yet still no return call or communication from Island Windows & Doors. We had to go ahead and hire and pay another firm to do this project. I believe in the interest of other senior citizens and all people throughout the state of Hawaii, this is of great importance to put all on notice, including Island Windows and Doors, that taking anyone's money without providing a service or communication on time has consequences. I have documented all correspondence with this company since the beginning of our communication, from day one of this nightmare. For anyone to see. PLEASE HELP

Paul & Mana, just under 10K have been waiting for a call and a refund. Paid 6 months ago, I don't know the law when taking advantage of seniors over 65, but I guess we will find out. I ended up having to hire a solid firm to complete the job. Island Windows & Doors never started.
(Thanks to owners Paul and Mana we are now paying for the same job twice).. Please do not give this company any up-front money of any type. I and my family, including my over 90-year-old father-in-law, is devastated. They have refused to call and resolve this.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to speak out in this case. This company has taken advantage of my parents—taking $10,000 from them and then completely ghosting them for months. Despite repeated attempts to contact them, there has been no response. Legal action is now underway, but I want to warn other families in the area to steer clear of this business. Don’t let your loved ones fall victim to the same deception mine did

My uncle trusted Island Windows with a large window project and put $10,000 down in good faith. Since then, they've gone completely silent. No replies to emails, phone calls ignored. It's been months, and there's been zero follow-through. We even had someone else contact them about the project and they got defensive before ghosting that person too. I'm heartbroken and angry that they took our money and disappeared. This company is completely unprofessional and has caused so much stress to my family. Think twice before giving them any money
Looking for windows? Be sure you talk to these guys. The experiences we had were all good. Even getting windows replaced during the tail end of the pandemic backlog, we got them done pretty quickly for being out here in the middle of the Pacific. Mana kept the updates coming, the installers worked efficiently, and after the install, Kawika came by to check out the windows and make sure no warranty work was needed. We had only one issue, one of the windows was the wrong size, but it was handled quickly and though it was a mistake, which happen, they took good care of us and our home. Mahalo IWD, Mana, Kawika, and crew.

I was shopping for new windows due to the original "builder windows" beginning to fail after 30 years in my home, checked out a few competitors and decided to buy from IWD for the value, the service, and the people that tied it all together. Mana kept me informed, and Kawika followed up with a check up after installation to make sure everything was good, windows, screens and functioning sliders. Check around, but make sure you do not miss Island Windows & Doors too. They run specials from time to time, just check and see.
