Crawlspace Doctor did an excellent job encapsulating our crawl space. We had just purchased a 30 year old home and had new hardwood floors installed in the great room. The news floors began cupping but the old hardwood floors did not. Greg informed us that this was due to humidity down in the crawl space rising up through the floors. Once the encapsulation was completed, it didn’t take long for our new hardwood floors to lay flat like the other hardwood floors. It’s a relief to know that our crawlspace is clean and dry. We are also impressed how Greg and his crew stand by their work and continue to serve our needs. Outstanding customer service!

Crawlspace Doctor (CD) really helped us out with our crawlspace. Our floor joists were routinely rotting out from moisture problems, and furniture and walls and doors molded up. The situation was terrible. We got quotes from CD and another company. CD had a quote $8000 cheaper and offering more services than the competition. These people are very hard working and overall do a very good job. Over the course of the project we encountered many unexpected developments, to be expected when you are trying to fix problems 50 years old or more. We also found some issues with the work during the course of the project, which we brought up to them. That being said the people at CD addressed ALL issues we discussed with no fuss. They were great to work with and also ended up fixing a number of plumbing problems during installation. We got an airtight, water tight crawlspace with a sump pump, lined with 90 mil plastic and absolutely beautiful. I have a few nits to pick re: pointing on the concrete block of our footing, it is more functional as opposed to pretty, but these folks aren’t masons. Overall the best value for what they do in Savannah.
Crawl space Doctor did a fantastic job enclosing our crawl space! Home is over 100 years old and has a large tall crawl space. We have seen a tremendous difference in the humidity levels inside our home and the area under the house looks pristine. Since this project is not inexpensive, hopefully it will extend the life of our A/C system that is housed within this area also! We are super happy with the outcome!
It was a blessing the day I saw a truck from Greg McBride's Crawlspace Doctor at my local home improvement store. I called and he was quick to fit me in his schedule to get an estimate. I was very impressed with Greg. He came and assessed the condition of my crawlspace and explained what he thought we needed to know and gave me a price on the spot. We had already gotten an estimate from another company in the area and their price 2.5 times higher for the same job and that was only if we signed a contract that day, if not it would be slightly higher. Crawl Space Doctor Savannah franchise owned by Greg McBride is excellent. They did our crawl space a few months ago. Today a duct came loose and fell into the crawlspace. Greg McBride encapsulated our crawl space several years ago, and we have been impressed by his willingness to come over and check it whenever we ask. We’ve had “critter” issues, and we try to make sure they aren’t chewing up our AC system—again. Greg recently suggested that we put in a dehumidifier, which he did for us. When we called him this week to ask him to check our crawl space after Hurricane Dorian, he came right away. Today he sent over Asa, a very nice young man who patched a few holes and vacuumed the space, all at no charge to us. We have been very happy with his service s s grateful that the encapsulated area is much improved.
This crew has been awesome! I have a huge crawl space beneath my newly constructed house, and the Doctor sealed it up tightly. He also installed 3 high quality dehumidifiers with drains to the outside to ensure that mold or other problems won’t develop. He also set up a dehumidifier with drain in my attic. The crew scheduled their work politely, showed up on time, and cleaned up afterward. Whenever I call, I get a quick response, and the price seems very reasonable to me.
We recently bought a new house in The Landings after raising our kids and living in the same home for 35 years. It was the perfect time to downsize and move closer to where our children and grandchildren live!
During the Due Diligence inspection of our future home, we learned that the crawl space had a higher than expected humidity level and, as a result, the hardwood floors inside the home had slight “cupping” because of the excess moisture in the crawl space.
After discussion with the inspector, we knew that this was a problem that needed attention, and the sooner, the better. Prior to our closing, we contacted two local companies that were experienced in correcting the moisture problem by performing a crawlspace “encapsulation”. Both contractors were local, experienced, and well-respected in doing encapsulations. However, when we received the cost estimates, one was almost 2.5 times as high as the other.
After further questions about the work to be done in our particular situation, we felt that the low bidder, The Crawlspace Doctor, was a better value for us. In addition, our son had recently gotten his home’s crawlspace encapsulated by Greg McBride’s company. He was very happy with the quality of Greg’s work and impressed with the results of his encapsulation.
The Crawlspace Doctor in Savannah provided us with 5-Star customer service and equally 5-Star work under our house! Our crawlspace is now spotless, completely sealed, fully lit, glistening white, and comfortable with 72 degrees air temperature and 52% humidity! Needless to say, we are thrilled with the result and the value received.

Mr. McBride and his company Crawlspace Doctor solved my crawlspace problems. After their courteous workers sealed, insulated and added a dehumidifier I have no more mildew. Pests are absent and the crawlspace is neat and clean. I highly recommend him for crawlspace fixes. He also has returned for recheck and cleaning.
