First time here and not sure if I would return. Arrived early for my appointment as request and was brought back late, I didn’t feel like my timing of my service matched up. Additionally, sound proofing in service rooms is horrible. I constantly heard loud conversations during my entire service and stomping, constant door opening. The audio kept cutting out for the music and made loud static noises. The front desk staff remembered everyone else’s name but mine upon check out as well. As someone who is coming for relief from extreme stress these conditions would prohibit me from returning. Nina herself did a great job on my massage.

I recently had a massage here, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. During the massage, I felt like Erin didn’t want to be there and it was a bother to her she frequently stopped and, at times, would only lightly rub without any real technique or consistency. It felt unstructured and ineffective, like there was no clear flow or professionalism. On top of that, entire areas like my arms and the front of my legs she literally only spent 30 seconds on , which made the session feel incomplete and careless. Instead of feeling relaxed or relieved, I left feeling frustrated and like it was a waste of time and money. I spent quite a bit of money and it wasn’t worth the experience! On top of that when I was paying the reception was cold and nasty! I’m shocked that you have employees like this!

i’ve been here a few times and it’s always very clean, friendly enough & on time. this last time i went i had Effie and she was wonderful! super super nice & welcoming and gave a really wonderful massage. i was in the salt room and i highly recommend getting a massage in there!!

My experience was a Christmas gift, and start to finish it was incredible. I booked the “Island Getaway” which is about a 2-hour service inside the stunning salt room that ends with a snack and prosecco. Lisa was so warm, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable the moment she introduced herself. She really listened to my pain points and continuously checked in with me throughout my treatment. She's a clear communicator, compassionate professional, and absolutely talented. I cannot wait to return.

The massage therapists are great. No complaints. But I had an issue with scheduling after I got an updated script. On the phone, the receptionist said they needed my script before I came in, so I sent it over email and assumed I was set. I got to the place and nothing was on the books. It wasn’t until I looked back at my emails that I realized they had sent a confirmation and I was supposed to call back to schedule — a step I had no idea existed. “We need the script before your appointment” does not communicate this process at all. If the receptionist had made it clear on the phone, I would have done it properly and gotten the pain relief I was looking forward to.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

We will clarify our phone script and staff procedures so the "call back to schedule" step is communicated clearly and will flag your chart to prevent this in the future. Please call our front desk or reply to your confirmation email and we will schedule you promptly and ensure your script is on file before your visit.

I wish I could have given zero stars but unfortunately I can’t. I have been here before for massages and have gotten gift cards for family members and never had a problem, up until now. Every other experience has been great so I want to be clear on that. However, I am highly disappointed because my husband and I had a massage appointment scheduled for this morning (the first appointment of the day) but I woke up feeling sick and a lot has been going around so I thought the right thing to do would be to cancel the appointment because I am unsure what I have at this point. My husband started calling before they opened but no answer until about 10 minutes before they opened. Rather than just canceling the appointment, he rescheduled for the next time we would be in town. He was told we would still be charged a 50% cancellation fee. When he told me this, I called back to explain that I’m not feeling well and I don’t think it’s fair to be penalized because I’m sick, especially since we are trying to make use of a gift certificate and not just outright cancel. I understand that if people are canceling for no reason that there would be a fee, but this was not the case. When I asked to speak to a manager the receptionist said they were not in. I then asked when they would be back in so I can speak with them and she claimed to not know. I would like a manager to call me back or contact me another way so that this can be resolved. I’m not going to name the receptionist here, but, she was very rude considering the circumstances so I would also like to discuss that as well when speaking to a manager.

We are sorry you had a disappointing interaction with our front desk. However, you were NOT charged 50% for the service.

Our receptionist informed you the 50% would be used as a CREDIT towards the next service when you rescheduled so you would not be paying additional money out of pocket. You used a gift card to cover the appointment. The gift card was charged half the fee and the price of your rescheduled appointment was revised to reflect the credit applied.

Our normal cancellation policy is a 50% non-refundable cancellation fee when informed less than 24 hours prior to an appointment. We made an exception for you seeing that you have been here before and you were not feeling well as we do not want anyone to come in sick, especially this time of year.

The health and safety of both our clients and staff is our top priority.

I apologize for any misunderstanding and hope you will come back in soon. As for management not being on site, the spa had revised hours this week and management is currently out of the office.

We appreciate your feedback regarding this matter.

Island Salt and Spa is amazing. I go here for a monthly massage and there is no place better. The massage therapists are all great, professional and really care about giving you the best experience possible. The spa is clean, relaxing and inviting. The front desk greets you and makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in. They really make you feel important and special and it gives me something to look forward to every month. Couldn't recommend them enough :)

This is my first experience at Island salt and spa, and I was very disappointed. I'm not from the area so I accidentally put in the wrong 55 Main St. in Patchogue. I called them to let them know. I was gonna be six minutes late and I showed up at 2:05 on the dot for a 2 o'clock appointment. I didn't even get in the door and the facialist was rushing me to the back. I tried to ask an old receptionist if they had anything for a massage after. She literally said no to me in such a tone that she couldn't believe I would even ask that question. I rushed to the back as soon as I get in the room the woman proceeded to tell me they're cutting my appointment because I was five minutes late. I totally understand if I was 15-20 minutes late and I worked in a salon and spa for many many years so I understand staying on schedule. But seriously five minutes. I rushed to get my clothes off as soon as possible. I don’t even think a minute went by and she was already knocking on the door to get in the room to start! I was so stressed out. Set the tone for the entire massage I even told the woman that I called to let them know. I was running five minutes late. It was an accident. My facial was average nothing to write home about. She did a good job. Ended my appointment at 2:50. Because God forbid we went to 255 it would've ruined everything. 🙄. I wanted to book a massage but the way I was was treated I would never go back in 1 million years and I will make sure that I relay my experience to other people who decide to go there It seems I’m not the only one with this experience. Hopefully the owner takes these reviews seriously and does something about the situation.

I initially wasn't going leave a review but I saw three identical reviews for Erin that matched my negative experience. The company should be addressing these issues because that was the worse massage I've ever had, and after two years of coming here I don't want to come back knowing they haven't fixed the performance issues .

Love this spa! I have been a repeat customer for 5 years, enjoying facials and massages. This summer during my 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy I've enjoyed 2 facials as well as a prenatal massage in their salt room. I highly recommend the prenatal massage to any expecting woman! The facials left my skin radiant after a rough qst trimester skin wise and allowed me to enjoy the usual pregnancy glow. Anyone I ever booked with here is great. I love the location as well. Can't wait for October to enjoy a postpartum body wrap, massage, and facial!

Had my massage done by Lisa. It was the best massage I ever had. The place is very relaxing. Good calming music. I don't get massages often but I would go back to Island Salt and spa, and would definitely ask for Lisa.
