Peter and his team were incredibly professional throughout their time working with us on a complete re-roof of our 500 year old listed property. They were clean and tidy, very helpful when it came to dealing with the planners at the council and we now have a fully watertight and smart looking roof covering! Win, win.

A Trustworthy Company
We've just had our roof replaced on our 80 year old house.
Initially we were provided with some good advice from Peter including the requirements of the local Building Control. After consulting 4 companies we chose Heritage due to this advice and the detail provided.
The team that did the job acted professionally and focused at all times.
All 3rd parties (Scaffolders and Satellite man) were well coordinated.
If there were any questions during the works, Peter or one of the team would immediately explain what was happening and would regularly keep us informed if the weather was going to have any affect. It did! Despite windy storms and heavy downpours we never were left without a covering and had no leaks. Phew!
We're very happy with the completed roof.

Great job
My property is grade II listed, I wanted someone to work on my roof who had experience of working on old buildings. Peter was great, he completed all the necessary paperwork to get the relevant permissions required & liaised with the Council. When the work came to be done it was not straight forward but the guys checked in with me & Peter whenever they needed to. I am very pleased with the final results & the professional way in which the work was carried out. I would definitely use them again & recommend to others.

Heritage UK did a fantastic job on our Grade 2 listed barn and walked us through ever aspect of the work, helping consult with the council planners to ensure smooth running. We were consulted on every aspect of the work to ensure we understood the process and end result. The team were amazing. Always polite and considerate of the fact we had to live through the work. Considering the size of the job the site was kept orderly and tidy.
A daunting job from my perspective was made easy by the team. I can't praise Heritage Uk enough.

I run a chartered Architect practice in Ongar Essex.
I employed Heritage UK on my own Grade 11* listed building to completely renew my tiled roof.
They did a fantastic job.
They were very concerned about getting the details right and selecting the correct tiles. Most of the old peg tiles were reused as well.
Peter Sturgess also saved us a lot of money by not using a scaffolded ‘hat’ roof over the house. It meant that he religiously checked the weather each day and didn’t work if the weather wasn’t acceptable.

We enlisted Peter and his team to work on the peg tile and slate roof of our listed cottage. We were looking for a roofing company with experience of working on an older property and were encouraged by the work Heritage had done on a nearby farmhouse. From the moment of first speaking to Peter he was engaged, helpful and professional. In the early stages of quotation he visited our home many times to agree the best approach to the repairs. From that point it was clear we had confidence in his services and had no hesitation in agreeing to the work. Peter's team working on the roof were friendly, thorough, polite, punctual and reliable. From the ground it looks like they did a great job and all repairs were made with great respect to the limitations of working on a listed building. They even came back the following week to clear up in the garden. Thanks a lot again, Peter and team, we really appreciate your efforts.

Tudor Roof Renewed
Thank you very Much, Peter. You and your team provided an excellent service renewing and repairing our Tudor tile roof using sympathetic and traditional methods and materials. Not only were the team knowledgeable and skillful (the chimney flashing, cut, soldered and formed on the ground to be lifted and integrated with the chimney to millimetre perfect fitting was a work of art!), but were polite and engaging. They answered any question I had, discussed and offered solutions to problems found - not surprising when exposing a 1500s roof structure and reacted positively to any change of mind on my part! Would definitely recommend and use their services again.

We had a great experience with this company. They were extremely professional, thorough and tidy. Kept to schedule throughout and were happy to adapt where needed on what was a substantial and complex job. The team were friendly and were very mindful of our privacy and completely unobtrusive. The company stuck to the quote and it was very helpful that Peter was able to liaise with Building Control. The roof looks great and the patio is tidier than before work started!
