Two years ago my elderly mother had a gas Rayburn cooker boiler installed by Heat Design. Since then there has been various issues with it. However, 2 years on and after leaving a bad review on Google, they have finally sorted out the snag list. I always believe in shopping local or supporting local businesses and it's a shame that it took a bad review to sort out the issues.

Great experience with these guys, Alex and Dan were very knowledgeable and friendly and the fitters were also friendly and most importantly tidy and considerate. Our new stove is our favourite part of the new house and would thoroughly recommend heat design.

Strongly recommend this port of call for all the advice and equipment you need. Really helpful friendly and professional attitude and service. 5 stars ,a rare commodity these days..

We made an enquiry about replacing an open fire, Alex came and was very helpful with help and advice. We received the quote and having changed our minds over what we wanted, we ordered and they came and fitted when scheduled with minimal disruption. It looks really lovely and we would highly recommend Alex, Dan and Heatdesign

Dan and the team fitted our stove in Shepherdswell last month after providing a quote a few months ago. We'd struggled for a while to get people to quote (many not replying) but we popped into the shop and a few weeks later somebody came to survey. The quote came back a few days later and we accepted. We had to wait a while for the stove to come in but Dan was quick at replying and offered us a different stove if we wanted a faster install. The fitters came in and were friendly and have done a beautiful job. The original plan needed a bit of a change once we started the job (100 year old house had a surprise) but the guys came up with an excellent solution. We've had an issue with the stove (rope seal) so I let Dan know and the next day somebody is coming out to sort this for us so excellent after-service. So pleased we popped into the shop now

Had a stove and surround fitted last week. I cant thank Alex and his team enough for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended

I was originally told £3,500 estimated based the stove costing £1000. I was told £500 of that was fitting. This was all subject to survey. Once my house was surveyed the quotation came to me at £5488 of which £995 was fitting. I questioned this and was just told yeah subject to survey. I then said I need to reduce this by £1000. I said take ownership of the tiles on the floor, this reduced the price by £500 and then asked for a quote with another log burner and was told at the very latest I'd have a new quote the very next morning. I never heard from them again. I genuinely believe he just lies and lies. Of course anyone reading this make your own mind up.

Purchased a rayburn fron Heat Design in 2013 for 8 and half thousand pounds. For the first few years they serviced it but whenit started breaking down they didnt want to know.They sent rogue freelancers who ripped me off The raYBURN NOW IS COMPLETELY DEAD / tHEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING TO ASSIST. NOW WE ARE GOING THROUGH OUR SECOND WINTER WITH NO HEATING HOT WATER OR COOKING and I am disabledtHEY AREa disgrace. Be warned. OVER ONE YEAR ON AND STILL LOVELY AND WARM..... We went into Heat Design's Showroom about sixteen months ago, not sure about what we wanted (or needed) to give us more than just central heating in our little cottage in Chestfield. I remember that we chatted to a man named Dan and we were pleased not to get any pushy sales talk from him, we explained our situation and he showed us a few fires in the showroom, advised us which fires would probably suit our requirements. He also gave us brochures for the fires that we took a liking to and on perusal of these back at home, we phoned Dan and arranged a home visit. At this visit, we chose the fire that best suited our requirements, Dan provided a detailed quotation within two days, which we considered reasonable and the deal was done. Dan returned for a pre-installation visit just to make sure that everything was ready in our home and the Heat Design Installers arrived as arranged, installed our new fire, really cleaned up well and took time to explain how we should light our fire and look after it. I'm only writing this review now as I have just been sitting on my own in our lounge, with the fire lit and it caused me to reflect on how having our fire has warmed and cosied our evenings for the last sixteen months, without any need to contact Heat Design about any problems at all and I have just taken the efficiency of the entire Heat Design Team for granted. So I feel that they should be congratulated (albeit belatedly) for their efficient, trustworthy service that that has proved itself to stand the test of time. BobG
