Switching to Green Hill Landscaping was the best decision I've made as a home owner! It's like having a gardening staff on call - love coming home to trimmed bushes, clean edges, cleared leaves, and maintained shrubbery. I finally have a lawn that looks cared for and loved. I have been with Greenhill landscaping at least 15 or more years. We are on a yearly contract and it is very reliable for all its services, spring, summer, fall and winter with snowplowing. Grass is always cut on time; trimming and mulching occurs as scheduled and the snowplow makes it soon after the snow stops. Prices are very competitive and management is accessible. Bill Kovacs

Who said great things don’t last? Well the excellent performance that green Hill Landscaping has been providing me continues after this first posting. My two acres are a tough assignment but not for skilled team members that know exactly how to meet the challenge with style.
This service company thinks that the customer is responsible in abiding by their scheduling procedures, versus simply informing the customer when they actually will be at your home. This was told to me by them that they CANNOT simply text/email/call the moment prior to arriving at the home. In this current state of technology, this is complete bull.
So, with this approach, the home owner cannot plan any type of activity in your own property during the week, UNTIL Green Hill shows up and works.
When I first asked about specific work dates, I was told, our service would occur in the later part of the week such as Wednesday thru Friday. I asked this because we have 3 animals that play in our yard and it would be nice to know if we need to keep them in the house on any given day that the lawn may be cut. This includes picking up their balls and other toys so all is not in the way of the worker. It also means knowing when I cannot set up my work area on the deck on any nice day when remote working from home. It also means my daughter not sitting out on the lawn reading. All is on hold UNTIL Green Hill arrives for work.
I accepted the compromise of knowing that Wednesday thru Friday is a window when the "above" activities at our home stay on hold until Green Hill arrives and finished the work.
TODAY, August 20th (TUESDAY) at 09:00, I suddenly hear a mower outside my office window. Sure enough, Green Hill arrived at my home on a Tuesday with NO contact with us letting us know. My dogs were out in the yard playing; Their balls were in various locations in our yard. I cancelled setting up my portable remote work stations on my deck on this BEAUTIFUL weather day! I ran out to get the last of the tennis balls in the yard so not to have them either shredded or even driven "around" by the worker. I noticed where he had entered the yard from the front of our house (this is important to what was the final straw).
My daughter left the house to run an errand. while she was getting her car in order for her ride, she suddenly saw one of our dogs dash passed her and ran to our front door! After gathering him up, she turned and noticed our other dog, a 70lbs Pit Bull Terrier (luckily a love bug), standing next to her car.
The reason they were out in the front of the house was because the Green Hill worker left the side gate open! Luckily our neighbors were not out or anyone with their dogs.
I contacted Green Hill and terminated my service with them.
I did my research for services in my area, and I originally went with Green Hill because my wife noticed so many of their service trucks along the Route 7 area in Sterling. Their cost seemed reasonable in comparison to the other companies.
One cannot simply go on cost. I would pay the extra money for a company who is more focused on the customer, versus the convenience of how they decide to do business.
I recommend staying away.
I have been with Green Hill for over 20 years now and they are responsive, cut grass and mulch on schedule and also trim our trees and bushes....just a great service and the owner Keith will get right on a call if you need him!!!
We've been using Green Hill Landscaping since 2019, for lawn mowing, fall leaves clean-up, and mulching. We are very happy with their work, and we recommended them to our neighbors.
I've been a Green Hill Landscaping customer for two years. I subscribe to lawn mowing, bed weeding, and (this year) leaf cleanup. I'm happy with the mowing and weeding frequency; the grass rarely gets high and the beds are clear. This is the first year I've used the leaf cleanup services; the frequency is good. They use a mulching technique that I haven't seen before; it appears to work well on my lot.
Green Hill is a trustworthy lawn provider that I strongly recommend. I have been with them more than 10 years and am happy with their professionalism and consistency over the year. I know they will take care of my lawn.
