Remember that an electric company has investors that require profits so if you keep paying for fuel dependent electricity their rates will continue to go up every single year, with that said, I only pay for the panels which were installed for free and I will get a 26% solar energy tax break to help me pay for part of the panel as well. If you are a logical person why would you pay for power that will increase every year when you can pay a fixed amount for making your own clean electricity. If there are blackouts it will not affect you because you are not on the grid. Florida has an average of 264 days of sunshine and the panels make more electricity that you will ever need. There is a fear of solar or clean energy which makes no sense get the panels and have a negative amount on your bill and get a tax break which by the way will decrease by next year so best get the panels now to maximize your savings and help the environment at the same time. I could not be happier with the panels, the company and my savings.
