Not so good
We were happy with the quick loading procedures. Price for trip was not cheap but what we were expecting. Food on the boat was shocking and way over priced, service was ok. Getting a drink on the boat was a joke, Told to line up in a row to keep the aisle clear for passengers but rather annoying that the barman served customers who just skipped the queue and then spent more time talking to another server about his work schedule! Might try Irish Ferries next time.

Family trip Ireland June 2024
Travel to Rosslare from Cherbourg and back. Crossing about 17h. On the way and back no problem. Friendly and efficient staff. The staff were understanding with us. Travelling with children the staff helped us enjoy the crossing as much as possible: we were late for meals but still the staff accepted us. Also upon return we were late for check-in the company accepted us. With regard to equipment and entertainment, this is more than correct: space for children, games room, several dining areas and spa among others. I recommend the company STEINA for its professionalism and hospitality. Family trip at the end of June 2024 Antoine

Nice crossing..
Took the ferry on the 30/06 to cross from Harwich to Hook of Holland, 179 GBP for the crossing + car (a Mini) and a single occupancy inside cabin (reasonably priced at 28 GBP, included in the above price). The boarding was quick and efficient. The ferry is quite spacious, reasonably modern, pleasant welcoming staff, accepts both card and cash payments that was very important to me on this occasion as I left my bank card at a service station on my way to the ferry and only had some cash on me. I didn't have any food on board as was saving myself for a nice meal in Amsterdam but had a couple of drinks at the Riva bar. And a much needed rest in my cabin. All in all a pleasant experience.

Gold Member benefits not honoured.
Been a Gold Member for years. It’s increasingly difficult to book the Plus Lounge benefit, promised to Gold Members I am told that it is sold out, but it is freely available at a cost of E30 on the web site. I travel frequently and it’s the main reason I have chosen Stena in the past. I will now check Irish Ferries out.

Excellent service on board/ horrendous service at the port in Holyhead
Thank you to the stena staff for the service we recived on repatriating my mother’s body back to Ireland. The respect they gave us was wonderful. I cannot say the same for their staff at Holyhead dock where they asked us to either hide the car carrying my mother or cover it with a blanket so it was out of view SHAME ON YOU no respect at all. You should have boarded us first so this would not have happened. The service in the lounge was very relaxing and the staff very friendly. Plenty of food / drink on offer to enjoy your sailing.

Can’t believe they got rid of the nice restaurant
Overall, the transit from Harwich to Hook of Holland was comfortable however I would usually get a nice meal prior to going to bed. The new single restaurant (there used to be two) offering is better than the buffet that existed before but is not as nice as the nice restaurant that has now been turned into a paid lounge..

Acceptable crossing
Due to the late departure from Hoek van Holland you could not enjoy the amenities on board for so long. The cabins were comfortable. I unfortunately had an inside cabin, although an outside cabin was booked. The staff tried very hard but unfortunately could not help me.
