I've been a loyal Gilt customer for years and never had an issue until now. I ordered a pair of **Gucci Women's GG1326S 58mm Sunglasses**, and they were delivered to my home by FedEx. Within minutes of the delivery, a porch pirate stole the package right off my porch.
The entire incident was caught on my home security camera, and I immediately filed a police report. Despite providing this information and explaining the situation to Gilt, they refused to replace the item or reimburse my money.
What makes this even more frustrating is that the theft happened almost immediately after the FedEx delivery, which raises serious concerns about how the package was handled and whether there may have been some kind of setup. After years of shopping with Gilt, I never expected to be left completely unsupported when something like this happened.
It has now been over **90 days**, and I'm still without the sunglasses or my money. Loyal customers deserve better support, especially when there is clear evidence of theft and a police report filed. Very disappointed with how Gilt handled this situation.

Zero stars would be best rating. The worst retail website and customer service to navigate. Don't waste your time trying to order merchandise here. I requested information about free shipping as a new customer. Overnight they raised the price of the shoes I had selected by 11.00 dollars and wanted to charge me 11.99 for shipping. Out of principle I refuse to deal with this practice. No customer service to talk and sent useless emails. This practice of changing prices is something that the CA Attorney General should be made aware of. Bait and switch tactics are shady.
I bought a necklace and dull, less quality, and different from the gilt photo came.
This is second time that happen to me with ordering meira T item. They send an item that kind of look like one you are ordering which is less quality and different. One time, may be a mistake. Second time? It is a honest issue. Is it gilt? Or is it meira t? Or both? For both time, they acknowledge the difference and offer little discount(like 20 dollars) or full refund.
The sales rep says they cannot send the item due to its out of stock. Yet, the website is selling same item now and it says 5 items left to sell. Huh? Hope no one buy this item and go through what I went through.
NOT recommended - awful customer service and shipping experience
The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. While the site generally offers a good selection of products, handling of orders is as careless as it gets and customer support team is generally rude and unprofessional. Reading the other review now, it also seems to be a recurring issue recently.
While I appreciate that the transit process might not be under the full control of Gilt, I’d certainly expect that at least making the shipping arrangements would be.
I placed an order early on October 26 and was offered two options for the delivery: a regular one with the delivery on November 6-8 and an expedited one for an extra fee of $15 to receive the order by November 3-4. I opted and paid for the expedited one as the order was for a specific event. It’s November 6, and the item hasn’t even shipped yet! Over 11 days there has been no change in the status of the order from the moment I placed it.
Contacting the customer service team seems useless - for each email (within the scope of the already open and active customer service ticket!) they take ~2 business days to respond and do so in the most generic, copy-paste way (e.g. suggesting that next time the expected delivery time can be checked before placing an order…). I reached out to the customer support on November 1, flagging that likely there is an issue with processing the order, but until now, there’s been absolutely no progress except for those generic emails.
I’ve been Gilt’s customer since 2021, but after this experience do NOT recommend it at all. Very frustrating and disappointing.
