Inconsistent and unclear return policy The return policy is inconsistent. You have to check each item's status. This allows a loophole in which low quality or damaged products can be sold at high prices and not returned. This was my first and last time buying. I would never think in today's day and age that a varying return policy would not be more visible when purchasing an item. In order to be certain, a purchaser must look through the fine print for each item. Not worth the time.

I have been using this site for about 3 yrs now. Absolute genuine and superb quality. I have found any issues, quickly solved. Sometimes a delivery there may be a gap. Due to sourcing the product advertised. they are not scammers. I have never had a dud and fitting perfectly.

Zero stars would be best rating. The worst retail website and customer service to navigate. Don't waste your time trying to order merchandise here. I requested information about free shipping as a new customer. Overnight they raised the price of the shoes I had selected by 11.00 dollars and wanted to charge me 11.99 for shipping. Out of principle I refuse to deal with this practice. No customer service to talk and sent useless emails. This practice of changing prices is something that the CA Attorney General should be made aware of. Bait and switch tactics are shady.

I bought a necklace and dull, less quality, and different from the gilt photo came. This is second time that happen to me with ordering meira T item. They send an item that kind of look like one you are ordering which is less quality and different. One time, may be a mistake. Second time? It is a honest issue. Is it gilt? Or is it meira t? Or both? For both time, they acknowledge the difference and offer little discount(like 20 dollars) or full refund. The sales rep says they cannot send the item due to its out of stock. Yet, the website is selling same item now and it says 5 items left to sell. Huh? Hope no one buy this item and go through what I went through.

NOT recommended - awful customer service and shipping experience The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. While the site generally offers a good selection of products, handling of orders is as careless as it gets and customer support team is generally rude and unprofessional. Reading the other review now, it also seems to be a recurring issue recently. While I appreciate that the transit process might not be under the full control of Gilt, I’d certainly expect that at least making the shipping arrangements would be. I placed an order early on October 26 and was offered two options for the delivery: a regular one with the delivery on November 6-8 and an expedited one for an extra fee of $15 to receive the order by November 3-4. I opted and paid for the expedited one as the order was for a specific event. It’s November 6, and the item hasn’t even shipped yet! Over 11 days there has been no change in the status of the order from the moment I placed it. Contacting the customer service team seems useless - for each email (within the scope of the already open and active customer service ticket!) they take ~2 business days to respond and do so in the most generic, copy-paste way (e.g. suggesting that next time the expected delivery time can be checked before placing an order…). I reached out to the customer support on November 1, flagging that likely there is an issue with processing the order, but until now, there’s been absolutely no progress except for those generic emails. I’ve been Gilt’s customer since 2021, but after this experience do NOT recommend it at all. Very frustrating and disappointing.

They don't spend any time dealing with legitimate customer issues. I informed them that my shipment was lost and I never heard back. I will not be buying from them anymore and will be labeling any communication from them as spam.

I honestly never expected such a horrible experience from a company like Gilt. I ordered clothes and shoes -- the box arrived sealed, but some of the items were missing. I contacted customer service right away, thinking they'd fix it easily. Instead, I got excuses, delays, and complete disrespect. They refused to send the missing products, refused to refund my money, and treated me like it was my fault. The customer service was rude and useless, and after all the emails and calls, they simply stopped answering. It's unbelievable that a company that calls itself "luxury" behaves this way. They took my money and gave me nothing back. I will never order from Gilt again -- they're dishonest, careless, and unprofessional. If you're thinking about buying from them -- don't. You'll regret it just like I do. The shoes costs me $900 !!! They just rub me !

Buyer beware! They mark items as delivered and then tell you to wait around to see if they show up. Their tracking information doesn't make sense and clearly shows the item was out for shipment and then mysteriously went back to the post office and someone picked it up from there? What?!? Customer service is the stupidest bunch of individuals that have no desire to help. Spent countless hours on the phone and responding to emails that they don't read. They just respond that the item was delivered and it clearly was not. They expect me to pay for a very expensive item that I never received. Upon further research this happens quite frequently. I finally spoke to a supervisor who would not issue me a credit even though she could clearly see the tracking information which stated that the delivery never came to me. They have no signature and no photo of the delivery yet arguing that I received it. Followed by an email that says "hope you enjoy your purchase!". My shipping address is correct and I have received other items from them with no issue. This just happens to be a very expensive item which mysteriously "doesn't show up?". Something smells rotten about this company. Do not shop here.

I would not buy from Gilt again. I returned a sweater that was mostly wool instead of a cashmere wool blend. Therefore it was very itchy on my skin. The website is very difficult to maneuver to get a return label and at the end they do not return the tax paid. I paid $118.67 for a sweater including tax shipped in a plastic bag and I am getting back $87. That does not seem right???

GILT and RueLaLa are both good companies. The only thing and customers please be aware, please make sure your shipping address is correct because if FedEx or USPS shows order delivered and you say you didn't receive it your refund will go as a credit not back to your card. Also, if you're using Afterpay you won't receive refund from GILT or Rue you have to contact Afterpay, so they can dispute since your package shows delivered but you didn't receive it

I ordered earrings, which were canceled without explanation. Then, they were available few months later so I ordered them again at a higher cost but now the package had been missing for a month. The Gilt customer service didn't respond for 2 weeks and tracking info does not give a specific location of where the package had gone missing. It's very frustrating how there's no help when I pay premium to be a member for this site.

Customer service and management did not help me with my return issue. I realized that I return two items in one return box together by mistake. I call to let them know what had happened to inform them ahead so they can let the return department know before they receive the package, They refund only one item in the box and I feel that someone took the other item for themselves and that item never got returned to right vendor department for me, I lost $1400 on an diamond gold ring That was in that same return box, and they claim they didn't see it. Just very shady. I will not give them business again.

absolutely the worst company i have ever dealt with. honestly i cant believe anyone shops here anymore. i have been a long time customer, since they first opened in like 2007-2008. but i will never shop here again . do not shop at gilt ever!!!!!!! if you do not receive your item they will claim it was delivered and not give you a refund. shop anywhere but here!!!!!!!!!! its definitely not worth the headache!!!!!!!!!!! mind you this was a $100 item, not a $2000 item. and if you pay with afterpay, they will claim it they cant do refunds with afterpay!!!!!!! what a crock. also they claim because i reached out 30 days later and told them we had not received this $100 item, apparently that wasnt acceptable. i do alot of online shopping, and i dont track my orders, like most of us. the only reason i even noticed 30 days later was because it was my daughters birthday so i realized it never came. they refused to give me a refund. literally the worst company i have ever shopped with. its not worth the headache. shop anywhere but here!!!!!!!!!!!

They sent me the wrong item, not what I ordered, which would've been okay--mistakes happen. But then they deducted shipping cost for using the return label they provided... on a mistake they made. That's right: THEY SENT THE WRONG ITEM AND THEN CHARGED ME TO RETURN IT TO THEM.

I bought 5 formal gowns and tried to return them bc they didn't fit well. When I logged in there was no record of my purchases. Kind of scary since I spent over $1000! I tried sorting it out with the chat box and it still said no record of purchases. Finally I called the customer service line and luckily the lady helped me. I felt like the refund process was slimy and I will never purchase from them again.
